Chapter 6: Is this Goodbye?
Isaac's POV
"Well, what's the way?" Bethany said. I looked around, but still felt unsure. "How about I tell you guys somewhere where there's not humans." I said. They nodded and we ran off. I felt a bit different, and just a bit queasy, so I slowed down. "Whats wrong, Isaac?" Cierra looked at me. "Nothing, I think it might be the human to Merman thing." I groaned. "Ow, yeah I forgot. You get a bit sick after you transform for the first time." "I remember when that happened to you three." "yeah, now let's get a move on!" They said. "Greeeaatt" I grumbled. We eventually got to our house after what felt like hours cuz I was hurt, All 5 of us went in Jordan's room to discuss the idea I had in mind. "ok. Now that we're home, what were you gonna say?" Bethany said. "So when I went in that cave, I turned into a merman, right?" "Yeah" "Well, maybe... just maybe, If you weren't mermaids, you wouldn't have to leave." I said, nervously. "Woah, woah, woah. Hold it. First of all, how would we even do that? Second, they already expect us back by tonight! Third, that would most likely corrupt something." They threw all these questions at me. I sighed and tried to answer them. "I think we could do a mortal spell, or something that has to do with the cave, They wouldn't want a human to do this, and we can at least try to do it carefully." "Wait! I just remembered! In my book, I wrote something about the cave. Something to do with turning into a mortal again." Beth turned to me. "Do you still have the book?" "Yeah, it's in my room." I said, getting up to get it. I grabbed her Glittery green book and ran back to Jordan's room. Bethany took it and flipped a few pages in. "It says here, what you have to do is during a new moon, you must go to the cave of which turned you into a mermaid or merman, and say these words, A fish tail instead of legs I no longer want to see, I want to turn back into the mortal I used to be, Now that every time I touch water I will keep my feet, But I will keep In mind that I will be sorry. Wait, what? I will be sorry? What's that supposed to mean?" She finished. "Who cares? If we don't have to move, I'm great with it." Cierra said. "I agree. Lets do this!" Addie said. "You guys go ahead. I'm not feeling well." I mumbled. "I'm sorry you don't feel well, but the easiest way to stop it is to reverse the spell." Beth said. I could tell she meant, Let's get this over-with so you can stop whining and so we don't have to move. I nodded and went with them. But little did we know, That last line of the spell actually meant something, and it may be the last line of anything we'll ever see.
