"I just don't get it! Ever since I was 14, they've been acting so weird around the water and the full moon!" I ranted. "Maybe it's just a girl thing?" Isaac said. I looked at him with a, what the heck, face. "No, it's not. All 3 of them, Isaac. All 3 of them." "I'm sure that it's nothing personal. Besides, you know them, wanting to stay dry." "But its up to the point where it's not normal! I mean, when we were younger, we used to go swimming and go to the beach, but one day they just STOPPED." I opened the door to a crack to make sure nobody was around, and shut it. "Well, It's true, you do have a point there. I remember one day in the summer, when I was 7, they begged mom not to go swimming. I haven't seen a drop of water get on them ever since. But when they did get water on them, they usually run away, and we don't know where they go." "Exactly" I said and got onto my computer. "C'mere." I motioned towards my desk. "Yeah?" Isaac hovered over my shoulder. "Look at this." I began to type in wikihow, How to tell if somebody is a mermaid. Isaac looked at me weirdly. "Jordan, are you serious?" He asked me. "Yeah! I'm sure of it." "Jordan, please. There's no way." "Sush" I interrupted. We both paused and heard our sisters talking. "I don't know, you tell me!" A faint voice said. "What are they talking about?" Isaac whispered. As if I know. "I don't know. Let's get closer." I said. We snuck to their door and pressed our ears to it. "C'mon, you can't be serious." Cierra said. "I am! On the full moon, I just randomly started to dance. I dunno why!" "Ha! That's-" "Ow! You stepped on my foot, Isaac!" I whispered. Suddenly, the talking stopped. I heard a couple whispers and the door swung open. "You guys! What the heck?!" "Creepers!" "What were you doing?" They screamed at us. I was a bit annoyed. They were hiding something from their older brother, and I wanted to know what it was. "I'my going to tell you this truthfully. Around 10 years ago, you guys just suddenly stopped wanting to swim, or go to the beach, or anything water related! I want to know what's up!" I said. They kinda just stared at me for a minute and began laughing. "heh, Jordan, I don't know where you've been. We take showers, Duh." Cierra said. I swear that laughing was fake! "Well, yeah but you never go swimming at the beach or the pool anymore." "Because we don't like to swim anymore." Addie said. "Uh, Jordan. Can I talk to you for a second?" Isaac grabbed my shoulder and dragged me back to my room. "What?" "Why are you so fixed on this? They aren't mermaids, Jordan. They'd tell us." He said. "I guess you have a point." I sighed. But I'm still not giving up my theory. "Yeah, now cmon. We have to record a video in the morning. We all need to get some rest." He said, and left. Maybe he's right...
