-Third Person P. O. V.-

Hajime and Chiaki walked to the third island and went inside Titty Typhoon. They didn't see anyone.

"Maybe Hiyoko's in the back room." Chiaki suggested. Hajime nodded as the two went into the back room.

Inside they found Twogami rummaging through things while Ibuki looked at him dreamily. Hiyoko sat next to her on a box, looking a bit scared.

"Oh, hey Chiaki! Hey Hajime! What'cha doin' here?" Ibuki greeted, tearing her eyes off of the large man, or at least assumed man.

The two gave a small wave as Twogami gave a greeting nod and Hiyoko still looked worried.

"Hiyoko? Hello? We need to talk to you." Hajime told the girl.

The dancer finally snapped to attention and looked at Hajime and Chiaki. "Oh, hi there. Did you want something...?"

Something's wrong here... She's not insulting me? Hajime thought.

"We'd like to know if you saw anybody go into the supermarket yesterday." Chiaki asked before Hajime could comment on the girl's mood.

Hiyoko sighed. "Oh. Well... I actually don't know..."

"What? You didn't see anyone?" Hajime asked.

The girl shook her head. "No... Actually, I did see one person. But only because she was very loud."

"Ibuki takes full credit for visiting the supermarket yesterday!" Ibuki gave a salute, interrupting Hiyoko.

"Yes. I can definitely state that Ibuki was there. I didn't see what she bought, but she was there. She came in and then left a few minutes later after yelling about stuff."

"Hiyoko's Account" has been added to the Truth Bullets sections of your handbook.

"Thank you." Chiaki said. "Hajime, let's go back to the restaurant and look over the evidence before the trial starts."

He nodded as they turned to leave. But, something stopped Hajime. He looked back at Hiyoko.

She looked sad, scared, worried, almost terrified.

"Hiyoko, is something bothering you?" Hajime asked, turning back for a moment. Chiaki stopped and stood behind him.

Hiyoko was caught off guard. "W-What do you mean, Hajime!? don't be so stupid!"

Something is definitely wrong. This is the first time she's insulted me since I stepped in here...

"You look so frightened. Something is clearly wrong."

The dancer sighed in defeat. "Yes... Something is wrong."

Hajime and Chiaki sat down next to her. "Tell us." Hajime said.

"Well... It's just... I feel uncomfortable... being back in here..." She glanced over at the mirror in the room.

Oh that's right. When she came here to use the mirror, she... That stupid Despair Disease!

"I know that murder will probably never happen again, but... I just can't feel at peace in here..."

"Ibuki thinks you need to be more like her, Hiyoko!" Ibuki suddenly broke into the conversation, her voice the normal energetic, peppy tone, but her face was more serious.

"W-What?" Hiyoko once again was surprised.

"Ibuki was also killed in here! Well, actually it was the hospital, but I was hung here! Same difference! Whenever Ibuki comes here or to the hospital, she isn't scared! Ibuki knows that her friends won't murder her this time! Right now, Ibuki is living in the present! Sure, the past was full of stabbing people under tables and bashing redheads over the red head with a baseball bat, but that is the past! This is the present! One where Ibuki has a bunch of new friends! Where Ibuki can sing her heart out! So you should do the same! Dance your kimono off, Hiyoko!"

They were all silent. Twogami had an impressed smirk on his face. Chiaki smiled.

"I... I see... Thank you, Ibuki..." Hiyoko smiled a very genuine smile.

Hajime thought back to Gundam's speech. A second chance...

"Hey Hajime, why are you staring off into space like that!? Are you thinking of me dancing until my kimono falls off? You filthy pervert!"

Hajime sighed. There's the Hiyoko we know and try to love...

Biiiing Boooong Biiiing Boooong

The now human Monokuma appeared on the monitor in the room, sitting in a chair with his martini, just like always.

"So, uh, we finally got everything for the trial ready. So, uh, yeah. Get your butts to Monokuma Rock! Let's get it started in here!"

The monitor flashed off.

"Crap! Chiaki, we forgot to check to see if we could see Nagito and Mikan under the lodge!"

"Oh you thought of that, too?" Twogami said. "I tried that right before we came here. Shining a light under the lodge doesn't do much. It's still too dark. From what I can tell, there's no person just lying there. There would have been a shape."

"Oh well. Let's just go." Chiaki said.

Hajime and Chiaki left the room, followed by Twogami, Ibuki, and the cheered up Hiyoko.

-A Few Minutes Later-

"So, is everyone here?" Twogami looked around at the large group of kids.

Taka did a quick headcount in his head. "Yes! Everyone that will take part in the trial is here!"

"Where is my dad? And the other two?" Chihiro asked.

"The adults are currently in the movie theater on the third island. They'll be watching the trial from there."

Everyone turned to face the voice to find Monomi standing there.

Suddenly, Monokuma Rock opened one of it's mouths and the escalator came out.

Monomi stepped on. "Everybody, follow me!"

Each person stepped on one by one. As they did, Nagisa looked at Monaca.

"Monaca, how are you going to go up the escalator in the wheelchair?" He asked.

Monaca giggled. "Nagisa, you're so silly. Don't you remember?"

Monaca suddenly hopped up, leaping out of her chair, landing in Nagisa's arms, giggling.

"W-What!?" Nagisa and the other Warriors of Hope were shocked. So was Komaru, the last person about to get on the escalator.

"But I thought you broke your legs!" Komaru yelled.

Monaca giggled again. "I think that Mr. Izuru guy made my legs better, kinda like how he made Big Sis Chiaki a human. I guess I'm just lucky, meow. Now carry me, Nagisa! Carry me in your strong arms!"

Nagisa was a blushing mess as he stepped onto the escalator after Komaru, with Jataro, Masaru and Kotoko right behind him.

Soon enough, all the trial participants stood in the elevator. As they all rode down in silence, Hajime looked at his handbook.

This will be my last chance to review the evidence... Better make it quick...

Bottle of Chloroform: A bottle of chloroform found behind the pharmacy counter. Feels like it's been used.

Chloroform Rag: Found in the trash in the pharmacy. Has traces of chloroform on it.

Glass Shards: Found in the trash in the pharmacy. Found under the rag.

Komaru's Account: "When we arrived, the light was already broken, so we screwed in a new light bulb."

Fuyuhiko's Account: "We got here before Komaru and Yuta. The light was broken, so we went behind the pharmacy to check the fuse box."

Kiyotaka's Account: "Gundam, Sonia and I discovered glass shards in the pharmacy yesterday. I put them in the trash with the other shards. After that, I spent the rest of my time at the pharmacy."

Chihiro's List: Aoi, Sakura, Akane, Nekomaru, Yuta, Komaru, Mondo, Chihiro, Taichi, Shirokuma and Twogami were working out at the second island beach yesterday.

Padlock: The hatch in the storage room of the lodge is locked with a heavy padlock.

Gundam's Account: "The lock was not there previously. I do not know where the key would be."

Supermarket Detectors: If an object that has not been payed for passes by, an alarm sounds all over the island.

Kurokuma's Account: "I have a few specials at the supermarket! Come as a couple and buy things to get an extra of whatever cost the most. Buy two of something, get one free! Every third purchase gets a free Usami keychain! Everything is half price on Fridays!"

Byakuya's Calculations: Totaling up the purchased items, the total comes to 130 monocoins, but an extra rope and blanket are missing.

Hiyoko's Account: "I didn't really see anyone except Ibuki come into the supermarket."

Twogami's Account: "It's too dark under the lodge. Even shining a light under there reveals nothing but blackness."

The elevator reached the bottom and the kids poured out.

"Hey, what too ya so long? I've been waitin' 'ere forever!"

Kurokuma's voice didn't come from Monokuma's seat. Instead it came from an identical one next to it.

Monokuma's seat was in it's usual spot, but to it's right was Monomi's seat. To his left was Kurokuma's seat and to HIS left was Shirokuma.

"Go you seats, kids! Your name should be written on the inside!" Monokuma told them.

The circle had grown much bigger to accommodate for the larger crowd. It's 16 seats has increased to 39. Class 77, Class 78, Warriors of Hope, Komaru and Yuta. All were accounted for.

Hajime stood at his podium. To his left was Yasuhiro. Then was Jataro. Next Hiyoko. Chihiro, Gundam, Byakuya, Masaru, Akane, Celeste, Fuyuhiko, Leon, Monaca, Ibuki, Toko, Nagito, Hifumi, Nagisa, Mikan, Makoto, Twogami, Sayaka, Chiaki, Taka, Nekomaru, Mukuro, Kotoko, Sonia, Sakura, Teruteru, Yuta, Kyoko, Peko, Mondo, Kazuichi, Hina, Mahiru, Komaru, Junko.

They all stood there.

Someone among them had kidnapped their friends.

Someone among them had committed a crime.

Someone among them is a traitor.

Someone among them was a culprit!

And now it began...

The trial for life.

The trial for death.

The trial for their friends.

The trial for their lives.

The trial for their new lives.

The trial to find the kidnapper of Nagito Komaeda and Mikan Tsumiki!
