J U L Y
One of your friends had invited you to a small party at the beach, and because the buses didn't drive that late they had told you that July would drive there herself and that she would probably be glad to take you with her.
It was easy to find her, on the huge parking lot in front of the mall, because there weren't that many cars at night – oh, and because her hair was a mess, she just lit a sparkler when you arrived, and because she wasn't wearing any shoes.
So after the last piece of light fell down from the sparkler you got into the car; her feet still bare, but she didn't seem to care.
There was literally nobody else to be seen, the night just slightly too cold and windy, but she left the windows wide open anyway and told you there was a jumper in the back should you need it.
And you did, so you put it on, even though it smelled of bonfires and the sea (or maybe because of that).
When you left the city, still nobody else around, she looked at you for a second, and then you were driving really fast all of the sudden.
She just shrugged and told you to let go.
After a while the urge to close your eyes was gone and you realised that she was, in fact, a really good driver – she was just going way too fast.
But that only meant that you would be able to watch her dance around the bonfire at the beach longer, and you stayed there until the sunrise, because she just didn't get tired.
