"Why do you smile when you don't mean it?" Kabir asked, as he flipped a page of the book he was reading.

Meher's ears instantly perked up at the question asked by the man sitting across her. She sighed audibly as she herself tried to find the answer to that question.

"I don't know," her voice came out as a whisper. Kabir thought not to pry her anymore and continued reading his book.

"Why do you hate me so much?" She asked. It was Kabir's turn to come up with an answer. He could see her blinking at him innocently, waiting for his answer.

"I don't know."
