Kaning's POV

Kaning stood by the window of Uncle Ga's flower shop, watching the rain gently tap against the glass. The shop was quiet, save for the soft hum of the refrigerator housing fresh bouquets. Her thoughts drifted back to Kavin, who had been discharged from the hospital a few days ago. The memories they had built over five years now seemed like a distant dream, erased from his mind by that cruel accident.

Five precious years that they both had spent together were erased from his mind. It wasn't anybody's fault though. She couldn't blame Thyme just because he was the one driving the car.He had also lost his memory due to the accident. Same goes with MJ.But she knew nothing of Ren or Gorya.

And then there was Kavin.....the more she tried not to think about him,the more her thoughts drifted towards him. Her brain was always occupied with his thoughts. Her heart yearning to be with him.It wasn't his fault but what could she do?Her soul still etched his name on her heart.She was his but he wasn't hers.

A sharp knock at the door pulled Kaning from her daze. She walked to the counter, her heart skipping a beat as she saw Kavin standing there, holding hands with a beautiful girl. The sight was a punch to her gut. She didn't expect him to start dating so soon.

Not when she knew that he was the only man she could ever love.

"Hello," Kavin said, his voice polite but unfamiliar. "I'd like to buy a bouquet for this lovely lady."

Kaning forced a smile, her hands trembling slightly as she arranged the flowers. She made the bouquet as fast as possible and yet carefully because it was for Kavin's-she stopped midway through the endless train of thoughts that was Kavin Taemiyaklin Kittiyangkul.

She handed the bouquet to Kavin without meeting his eyes, her heart aching.

Because she knew that if she did, then she would fall deeper and deeper in love with him which would be the last thing that she needed to do in order to completely ruin herself.

Theirs fingers made contact for a millisecond but Kaning felt sparks erupting from his touch.

Little did she know that it was the same for him...

KAVIN'S POV:

It took Kavin quite a while to process everything that happened just now.

Why was the girl at the flower shop not looking at him while handing him the bouquet?
Where did he go wrong?
Why did she look so familiar yet so distant?
Why was she looking so sad?
And lastly, why was he even thinking about her?

There was something about her that really intrigued him.

AUTHOR'S POV:

As Kavin and the girl left, Kaning felt tears prickling at the corners of her eyes.

Just how many times did he have to shatter her already broken heart?

Moments later, Ren entered the shop. He took one look at Kaning and knew something was wrong.

He approached Uncle Ga and quietly asked if he could take Kaning out for a while. Uncle Ga, understanding the situation, nodded in agreement.

Ren led Kaning to a nearby flower garden, hoping the serene environment would lift her spirits.

As they walked among the blooming flowers, they spotted Kavin and the girl. Ren waved, and the girl smiled back.

"Hey," Ren called out, "come meet my friend."

Kaning's heart pounded as they approached. The girl introduced herself as Kavin's distant cousin, and Kaning felt a wave of relief wash over her.

Kavin, looking puzzled, turned to Ren. "Is Kaning your girlfriend?" he asked hesitantly.

Ren chuckled and shook his head. "No, Kavin. Kaning is just a good friend."

Kavin's eyes lit up with a joy he couldn't hide. He had fallen for Kaning at first sight, and the news that she wasn't taken filled him with hope. As they all stood together in the flower garden, the sun breaking through the clouds, it felt as if Destiny had given them a second chance.

Kaning smiled, her heart feeling lighter than it had in days. Despite the hurdles, love had found its way back into their lives. The chapter ended on a hopeful note, reminding them all that love always finds a way.

I'm sorry but I just couldn't help it. Okay so I was writing poems in the meanwhile but due to my exams couldn't write a chapter for this fanfic.
