Revealing Loki and Back to Earth

We landed on the bridge to the palace and scared a few of the people on it. They clearly were not expecting us. But quickly went back to their own business.

"What the hell is that?" Thor asked.

I turned to look where he was looking and straight ahead of us was a rather large statue of my best friend. My guardian, my Loki in all his glory with his favorite helmet atop his head with the horns.

"Oh, I have the strangest feeling why Odin didn't want us to visit him. Shall we perhaps pay him a visit now, Thor?" I said through gritted teeth.

"Lead the way, my heart." Thor smirked. Seeing the seething rage glide off me in waves.

How dare he pretend to die on me. Cut our connection temporarily to make me think he was really gone just so he could play King of Asgard? I scoffed to myself and we walked through the crowd. People around us were crying as they watched on to some play that had been put on by actors playing Odin, Thor, Loki and even myself. It was about our lives and some manner of how Loki 'died'. It was just ending as we walked up.

"And so Loki died of his wounds, giving his life for ours. He fought the dark forces that threatened us, and brought peace to the realm." The Odin actor said and gestured to a little boy that was painted blue. "Loki, my boy. T'was many moons ago I found you on that frost-bitten battlefield. On that day, I did not yet see in you Asgard's savior. No. You were merely a little blue baby icicle... That melted this old fool's heart."

The crowd erupted into cheers and Odin himself stood up cheering and clapping proudly. If I wasn't so angry I probably could have laughed at what Loki had done. Of course, he was giving himself praise.

"Bravo! Bravo! Well done! Bravo!" Odin said.

"You want to deal with him or shall I?" Thor said with an angry sneer.

"Oh, let's gang up on him together." I winked at him.

Just to be sure I used my power and my eyes glowed. I knew they were glowing, but no one else did as I had learned to hide my power from the seeing eyes. As I suspected Loki was using an illusion cast upon himself to be Odin. I nodded at Thor and we walked forward.

"Allfather." I bowed in respect, placing my closed fist above my heart.

"Father." Thor bowed his head.

"Oh shit..." Odin said quietly as he was about to take a sip of his drink. "Uh, my son, Thor, and Lady Amara have returned!" Odin introduced us and the crowd clapped for our arrival. We both smirked and nodded at the people as we walked by. "Greetings, my boy and my future daughter in law."

Just give it away Loki why don't you. Odin has never given us his blessing. I shook my head at my thoughts as we moved closer.

"That was a very interesting play. Your majesty." I raised my eyebrow at him. "What would it be called?"

"The tragedy of Loki of Asgard. The people wanted to commemorate him." Odin explained, giving me a knowing look.

He knew well enough I knew his secret. It was like he was begging me not to tell Thor. Though, I didn't even need to tell him anything. Thor's not stupid.

"Indeed they should." Thor nodded. "I like that statue. A lot better looking than he was when he was alive, though. A little less weaselly. Less greasy, maybe. Wouldn't you agree, my heart?" Thor asked clearly provoking him.

"I dare say I agree, my King." I smirked and Odin's face soured.

"Do you know what this is?" Thor asked as he took of the crown from his body, holding it out for him to see.

"The skull of Surtur? That's a formidable weapon!" Odin chuckled awkwardly.

"Do me a favor. Lock this away in a vault so it doesn't turn into a giant monster and destroy the whole planet." Thor frowned as he handed the crown to a guard.

"So it's back to, uh, Midgard for you two then, is it?" Odin stood from his lounge couch and walked slightly closer to us in a cautious manner.

"Nope." Thor popped the 'P' heavily as he tossed Mjolnir into the air a few times. "You see. We've been having this reoccurring dream lately." Thor explained.

"Quite awful. Every night, we see Asgard fall into ruins." I explained.

"That's just a silly dream. Signs of an overactive imagination." Odin said.

"Possibly." Thor said. "But then we decided to go out there and investigate. And what did we find, love? The nine realms completely in chaos. Enemies of Asgard assembling, plotting our demise, all while you, Odin, the protector of those nine realms, are sitting here in your bathrobe, eating grapes." Thor said harshly as he stepped closer to Odin.

"Yes, it is best to respect our neighbors' freedom."

"Yes, of course. The freedom to be massacred." Thor said angrily.

He tossed Mjolnir past Odin's head and the crowd around us ooh'd confused. Mjolnir came back to his hand and Odin looked stunned. I stood behind Thor with my arms crossed, just letting Thor take the lead on exposing Loki's secret.

"Yes, besides I've been rather busy myself."

"Watching Theater?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well, board meetings, and security council meetings. We must arrange for you two to be wed. Have you asked her yet son?" Odin said.

"Are you really gonna make me do it?" Thor raised a eyebrow.

"Do what?" Odin asked.

"Oh boy." I said.

Thor spun Mjolnir in his hand and threw it hard, away from the palace gardens. Thor moved himself to stand directly behind Odin and placed his hands on his shoulders.

"You know that nothing will stop Mjolnir as it returns to my hand. Not even your face." Thor growled.

He placed his hand on the back of Loki's illusioned head with an open hand. The crowd gasped and the guards standing around us stood in a fighting position. My hands lit up ready to defend Thor if need be.

"You've gone quite mad. You'll be executed for this. Amara stop him, or you'll face the same fate." Odin demanded.

"I'm sorry your majesty. I don't think I can do that." I shook my head.

"Then we will see you on the other side, brother." Thor whispered into his ear as Mjolnir came closer.

"All right, I yield!" Loki shouted as he lifted the illusion from his body.

Thor shoved him away and the crowds gasped at the new turn of events. My hands died down and I walked over to Thor holding onto his arm. Mjolnir came back to his hand. Loki stood stunned for a second before he turned around with his hands out giving us a giant Loki grin. I scowled at him and he gulped. Skurge forced his way through the crowds and suddenly started yelling when he made it to the front. Gaining everyone's attention.

"Behold! Thor... Odinson and..." Skurge said out of breath, but Loki pursed his lips and snapped his fingers.

"No. You had one job!" Loki held up a finger and turned to look at him. "Just the one."

"Where's Odin, Loki." I sighed and he turned to look back at me.

"It's great to see you too, my dove." Loki smirked.

"Where's Odin?" Thor demanded.

"You. You just couldn't stay away, could you? Everything was fine without you. Asgard was prospering. You've ruined everything. Ask them." Loki walked closer towards us.

"Where's father?" Thor asked angrily. He stalked towards Loki making him quickly retreat backwards landing onto the chaise lounge he was sitting upon earlier. "Did you kill him?"

"You had what you wanted. You had the independence you asked for. The ability to bring Amara home and be with her." Loki pointed out and Thor placed Mjolnir on his chest. "Ow, ow, ow. Okay. I know exactly where he is."

I placed my hand on Thor's forearm and he turned to look at me. I gave him a simple soft smile and he removed Mjolnir off Loki's chest. I reached my hand out and offered it to Loki. Grateful he took my hand and I helped him up. Loki led us away from the palace gardens and we walked back towards the rainbow bridge. As we left the sight of the other Asgardian's was when I let my rage fill me up. Loki walked slightly ahead of me and I winked at Thor. He chuckled quietly as my hand lit up purple.
I punched Loki in the arm and he stumbled forward.

"Ow! What was that for?!" He asked rubbing his arm.

"What? What was that for? Are you kidding me?!" I screeched and charged at him. He ran backwards to stay away from my hands. "Years, you giant, foul, ungrateful arse! That I thought you were dead! You pretended to cut off our connection just so you could play King! Not to mention the fact that it was shortly after I had gotten my memories back. So I had just gained you back in my life for you to disappear again! You're a ginormous jerk!" I shouted as I stopped walking.

Loki walked forward cautiously with his hands up. My hands still glowed and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I'm sorry..." Loki said softly.

"No. You're not." I shook my head in disbelief trying to hide my tears. "I needed you. I wanted you around. And you left me so you could play king. I felt the small ping in my chest when you "died". How could you do that to me?"

"Amara." Loki sighed as he just about reached me. "I am sorry. I was doing what I thought was best. I was doing it for you so you two could be happy. We all got what we wanted." He explained and I rolled my eyes.

"I just wanted you in my life again. You're my guardian, Loki. I am the Goddess of Infinity Stones. And you left me."

"Well, I suppose that makes a lot of sense." He nodded his head and looked down at me. His arms opened wide and he walked closer trying to hug me. "I am very sorry, Amara."

"I'm still mad at you. And for now I kinda hate you." I sniffled and walked into his open arms.

Loki engulfed me into a hug and I hugged him back tightly.

"I think that acceptable punishment for now." He nodded.

"Okay, I'm happy you two have each other again, but can we get back to finding Father now?" Thor asked annoyed.

Loki touched my forehead and our bond was restored, before he nodded at Thor, releasing me from his grasp. Thor wrapped his arm around my waist and we all walked towards the Bifrost. Skurge placed the sword in the Bifrost and gave us passage down to Earth. I never thought I'd come here again without getting to visit my family. I missed Tony desperately and everyone else.

We each changed our outfits. Loki helped us out with the illusion. He chose to wear a fancy all black suit. Thor wore jeans and a tee shirt, covering up with a sweatshirt and a holey jean jacket and disguised Mjolnir into an umbrella. Loki gave me a very fancy dress that was golden and a large slit on the side, up my leg. It was thin strapped and very showy on the chest.

"This is not inconspicuous. I'm changing." I rolled my eyes and did it myself. I changed into a pair of jeans and a tee shirt and sweatshirt.

"Killjoy." Loki scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"I liked it." Thor whispered into my ear and I chuckled.

"Of course you did."

Loki took us to the location of the Allfather, but what found wasn't what we expected. The large brick building was in the middle of being torn down. The nursing homes sign said Shady Acres and a excavator was plowing through it. The three of us stood on the sidewalk with our arms crossed, Thor and I were most displeased.

"I swear, I left him right here." Loki stated.

"Right here on the sidewalk or right there where the buildings being demolished?" Thor said sarcastically.

"I mean, that is a pivotal question Loki." I looked up at him with a raised brow.

"Well, how was I supposed to know? Can't see into the future. I'm not a witch." Loki scoffed.

"No? Then why do you dress like one?" Thor asked.

"Hey." Loki frowned.

"You know, she's right about before. I can't believe you're alive. We both mourned you. Cried for you." Thor scoffed.

"I'm honored." Loki said.

"Okay, boys. You're both pretty. Let's focus on trying to find Odin shall we?" I said noticing that people were starting to stare.

"Ask him." One of the women near us said to her friend.

"Hi!" A woman walked up to Thor with her friend giggling. "Would you mind taking a picture with us?" She gestured between Thor and I.

"Sure." Thor and I said together. They squealed and quickly gathered around us both. Thor and I smiled in the photo as they took it.

"Oh, my god." They giggled walking away.

"Uh, Lo? What are you doing?" I asked him with furrowed eyebrows. I looked at his feet and on the ground little sparks of yellow light were swirling around him.

"What are you doing?" Thor stated firmly.

"This isn't me." Loki said concerned. He yelped and as quick as a blink he disappeared into the ground.

"Loki?!" I said panicked.

"Loki..." Thor whispered.

He held the umbrella in his hand and carefully tapped the ground that now had a card laying on top of the spot he disappeared from. I bent down and carefully picked it up.

"177A Bleeker Street?" I read out loud. "Uh, looks like this is where we are going next." I shrugged.

"Well, then let's go find out what's going on." Thor smiled softly and took my hand in his.

I lead the way, knowing the streets of New York pretty well. We soon found Bleeker street and walked up to 177 A. Thor rapped on the door twice and with a sudden whoosh we were inside. We both stumbled slightly on our feet and held tightly to one another. I looked around and the room was dark with strange relics everywhere. Something about this place seemed strange and I could sense something strong here.

"Thor Odinson. Amara Coulson." A voice stated near us.

Both Thor and I turned quickly at the sound of the voice to see a man floating above the ground at the top of a staircase. He floated his way over towards us and Thor held out the umbrella ready to fight and with a hand pushing me behind him. I rolled my eyes at his forever need to protect me. But it still made my heart swoon to this day.

"God of Thunder and the Asgardian Infinity Goddess." He said quietly as he got closer to us. He titled his head slightly at me. The closer he got the more power radiated off from him. I looked at his chest sensing something about him. I immediately recognized the necklace he had that laid on his chest because of our vision. He had the time stone.  "You can put down the umbrella." The man stated.

Thor glanced at him slightly with a unsure expression. He conjured up a literal umbrella stand for him. Thor carefully placed it inside and the three of us were whooshed away again. Thor and I both looked around slightly confused. I turned to see him right behind me.

"So, Earth has, uh, wizards now?" Thor asked. He touched some metal looking spikes on a table near us, until the clattered to the floor.

"The preferred term is 'Master of the Mystic Arts.' You can leave that now." He said as Thor kept trying to pick up the pieces.

"All right, Mr. Wizard. Who are you?" I asked crossing my arms.

"And why should we care?" Thor added and I nodded.

"My name is Dr. Steven Strange, and I have some questions for you both. Take a seat."

The room whooshed again and suddenly Thor and I were sitting next to each other in chairs in front of Dr. Strange in a different room again.

"Man, I'm getting whiplash. Stop that." I grabbed my head and blinked heavily.

"Tea?" Dr. Strange asked and we both looked around. Suddenly tea appeared in my hand.

"Thanks." I said wearily. I lifted the cup to my lips and sure enough it was delicious tea.

"I don't drink tea." Thor said looking at his cup.

"What do you drink?" Dr. Strange asked.

"Not tea." Thor smirked. Suddenly a very large beer mug appeared in his hand and it was filled to the brim.

"So, I keep a watch list of individuals and beings from other realms that may be a threat to this world. You're adopted brother, Loki, is one of those beings." Dr. Strange explained.

"He's a worthy inclusion." Thor stated wiping his face on his sleeve after drinking some of the beer that automatically refilled in his glass. I looked down at my own cup and there was more tea.

"Hmm. Cool." I nodded quietly to myself.

"Then why bring him here?" He questioned leaning forward towards us.

"We're looking for the Allfather, Odin. King Of Asgard and the boy's Father." I explained. "Loki supposedly dropped him off here, but where he was supposed to be. Well, he wasn't there."

"So, if I were to tell you where Odin was all parties concerned would promptly return to Asgard?" Dr. Strange raised an eyebrow at us.

"Promptly." Thor smirked.

"Great! Then I'll help you." Strange smiled at how easy this was.

"If you knew where he was, why didn't you call me?" Thor asked curiously.

"I have to tell you, he was adamant that he not be disturbed. Your father said he had chosen to remain in exile. And you don't have a phone." Dr. Strange pointed out.

"Well, I do... but I guess it doesn't really work if we're not on Earth." I shrugged.

"I don't have a phone. But you could have sent an electronic letter. It's called an email." Thor said.

"Honey, we don't have a computer... And again I don't believe this would work on Asgard." I pointed out.

"Right. Well, anyway. My father is no longer in exile. So if you could tell us where he is, I can take him home." Thor said.

"Gladly. He's in Norway." Dr. Strange said.

He stood up and we changed rooms again. Thor's beer spilled and I grabbed his arm to steady myself. Dr. Strange was flipping through a book.

"I'm just seeing whether this incantation requires any Asgardian modifications. Nope." He slammed the book shut and whooshed again.

Thor grabbed a new bookshelf for stability and I shut my eyes tightly trying to rid myself of the headache that was appearing.

"Oh, we don't need that." Dr. Strange said and whooshed us again.

The bookshelf Thor was now holding onto nearing toppled over onto us both. More beer spilled from the mug that was still in his hand. Thor put the beer mug down on the table near us and he sighed. I tumbled into his arms and he helped me stand.

"Will you stop doing that?" I growled. Thor and I walked over towards him.

"Can I... I-I need just one strand of your hair." Dr. Strange looked at Thor.

"Let me explain something to you. My hair is not to be meddled with." Thor said angrily.

He suddenly winced as Dr. Strange was behind us and had pulled a piece of his hair out. He took the strand of hair and started creating something magic with it. I watched curiously as Strange worked quickly. Thor and I suddenly tumbled down some stairs and landed on the bottom.

"Ugh." I groaned sprawled out.

"We could have just walked." Thor said as he stood to his feet and wiped off his clothing.

Dr. Strange conjured a weird symbol and sent the yellow sparkling light forward. Thor reached down and helped me up. Dr. Strange opened a portal and on the other side was a beautiful open field. Thor and I both looked through it slightly impressed.

"He's waiting for you."

"All right." Thor nodded.

"Oh, don't forget your umbrella." Dr. Strange said.

"Oh, yes." Thor said. He held out his hand and called Mjolnir to him. There was a lot of loud crashing though the sanctorum as it attempted to come back to his hand. "Sorry..." Thor said awkwardly as we both winced at the broken sounds. Mjolnir landed back into his hands and he brushed off the broken glass.

"Uh, I also need my best friend back, please." I reminded the wizard.

"Oh, yeah right." He nodded.

Dr. Strange lifted his hands into the air and moved them around in a circle. Creating a portal. Loki was screaming and fell from the portal onto the floor with a thump. He flipped his hair back off his face and sighed loudly.

"I have been falling for 30 minutes!" Loki exclaimed.

"You two can handle him from here." Dr. Strange said.

"Yes. Thank you." I nodded.

"Thank you very much for your help." Thor shook Dr. Strange's hand and then so did I.

"Good luck."

"Handle me? Who are you?" Loki demanded as he stood to his feet. He quickly unleashed his daggers.

"Loki." I stated.

"You think you're some kind of sorcerer? Don't you think for one minute you second rate..." Loki threatened and walked forward aggressively towards him.

"Alright, bye-bye." Dr. Strange said and pushed the portal towards us.
