Return to Earth

After I had gotten to my room, I tried to drift off into a peaceful slumber, but I simply couldn't sleep. I played around with the violet wisps and watched as they danced along my finger's. I realized if I could speak to my Uncle through magic, then I could reach Loki as well.

"Loki?" I called out. There was no answer for a few moment's and I tried again. "Loki?"

"Amara?" He questioned.

"Oh, wow, cool! I can reach you. This is amazing." I giggled.

"How are you?" Loki asked.

"I'm doing okay. I wanted to tell you, Thor and I figured out a way for you to get out of prison. I'm back on earth now, but Thor is speaking to your Father. I'm excited for you to gain your freedom again. Though, I also wanted to warn you that you're going to have to be on your best behavior."

"Thor's really trying to ask the Allfather to let me out?" Loki sounded surprised.

"Well, yeah. Of course he is. He's your brother and he loves you. As do I!"

"So what exactly is this new sentence supposed to be?"

"Well, you're going to be coming and living here on Midgard, with me." I stated and then there was silence. I waited a moment and still nothing. "Loki."

"Yes, my dove?" He called back softly.

I laughed out loud at the thought of remembering the nickname he used to call me when we were kid's.

"What's wrong?" I asked as though I could sense it.

"I nearly destroyed New York. Midgard hate's me. I do not believe that you've really thought this little plan through." He stated.

"Of course, I have. You're just going to need to prove to them that you're not what they thought you were." I replied back seriously.

"I do not make promises I can't guarantee to keep, Amara."

"Do it for me, Loki. I'll be here with you every step of the way." I begged.

"I shall try. But that's still not a promise." Loki huffed after a moment.

"I'll take what I can get." I smiled with a small chuckle and closed my eyes. Falling happily asleep.

I woke up the next morning and looked at my alarm clock. It said it was 10:45 am. I closed my eye's again and quickly reopened them.

"HOLY CRAP! I over slept!" I jumped out of bed and quickly got ready for the day. I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen to see everyone just sitting quietly enjoying some breakfast.

"Well, good morning." Steve smiled as he was reading the morning paper. I smiled back at him.

"Good morning, everyone." I looked around the room to see no sign of Thor. My smile faded as I sat at the island and made a plate of scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast.

"You didn't miss anything, kid. He's just not here yet." Tony said. Then he took a sip of his coffee. I smiled weakly at him. "Oh. After you're done eating, come see me in my workshop." He finished his drink and left the room.

"You're going to have to give me all the details." Nat whispered in my ear, moving herself and her plate closer to me. I nearly spit out my eggs.

"Fine. But I'm going to finish eating then go see Tony first." I whispered at her with a smile.

I finished my food and headed down to Tony's workshop. It was quite possibly my favorite place in this whole building. I loved coming down here and helping Tony with his suit's and other little project's.

"Hey, Jarvis? Can you buzz me in?" I spoke to Tony's AI. There was some loud rock music playing and I could see Tony from behind the glass wall, he looked like he was working on something new.

"Certainly, Miss Amara." The door unlocked and I walked in. Jarvis turned the music down and Tony turned around.

"Ah, good you're here. Sit." He pointed to the round rolling chair next to him and I did as he asked.

"What are you working on?" I asked. I looked over at him and he seem to be working on some small flat triangular item. I recognized it almost as soon as I asked. "Is that nanotechnology?" I asked surprised.

"Wow. Clearly, I'm a great teacher. You'd be correct, that's exactly what this is." Tony finished twisting the screwdriver around. He placed the small triangle on his chest and tapped it. Suddenly Tony's chest, and then the rest of his body was covered by an Iron-Man suit. He turned around modeling it for me. Making me laugh as I nodded.

"Wow, it look's amazing."

"Thank's, kid. It's not quite finished yet. Still some calibrations to set and functions to fix. But this actually isn't why I called you down here." He tapped the chest piece and pulled it off, putting it on the table beside us. He turned his chair to face me. "I called you down here to find out about you and Thor." He looked at me with narrowed eyes.

"Oh. Okay, well... What is it that you want to know?" I asked curiously.

"I saw your face when Clint made his joke yesterday. And at Nat's comment too." He looked at me with his suspicion's clearly rising.

"They told you about Thor and I's argument the day I left, huh?" I said with a raised eyebrow. Tony was always to easy for me to read.

"All right, fine. They did. Not thrilled. He left you here." Tony pointed out. "So I guess the big question now is are you together or not? I know how much you like him, kid. I really do. But I don't want to see you get your heart broken. Just know I've fought him before and I'll do it again if he ever hurt's you." Tony looked at me and I knew he was being dead serious.

"Yes. We are together. He asked me on our second night there. I know you will, Tony. You're always so protective of me."

"Well, that's what father's do don't they?" He smirked.

"You would be correct." I laughed at his silly joke.

"As long as you're happy. I'm happy. I also didn't really want to have to do this, but for the love of Thor. Please don't get knocked up. I'm not ready to be a grandpa." He rolled his eyes.

"Oh my god, Tony! We are not going to have the sex talk!" I stood up and covered my ears as I walked out of the room. "Love you." I shouted as I ran up the stairs. I had taken one quick peek back at him and he was chuckling.

Nat sat at the table and as soon as I came into view she nearly tackled me and dragged me to her room.

"Okay, so spill." Nat said excitedly. We sat on her bed after she closed the door.

"Someone's a little eager." I laughed at her. "Well, Asgard was amazing. Seriously, Nat. It was freaking beautiful. I met my biological Uncle. He's got abilities too, he's the Gate Keeper of the Bifrost. He's pretty great. I wish I could have spent more time there. I found out my Mother and Papa passed away when I was little so I didn't get to met either of them." I looked sadly at my hand's. Nat wrapped her arms around me.

"I'm so sorry about your parent's, Mar." She said and pulled away from me.

"It's okay. Thor took me to see Loki in their prison. He was able to give me back the memories I had lost when I was little. So, I at least remember what they looked like and sounded like. And what being there was like. I also found out my power's are being suppressed by some kind of magical barrier in my head." I shrugged.

"Whoa. Do you know how you're going to figure that part out? And are you sure you two really thought this through bringing Loki here?" Nat looked at me concerned.

"I'm sure, Nat. I wouldn't do it if I didn't have complete faith in him. He's one of my very best friend's." I stated firmly.

"Well, I better still be THE best friend." She said seriously and then let out a small laugh.

"No problem, girl. You got it." I laughed with her.

"Now, you need to tell me what I've really been dying to know. What happened between you and Thor?" Nat eyed me curiously.

"Okay..." I took a deep breath. I knew she'd be happy for me but it still didn't make me any less nervous. "Well, on our second night. The last night we were there together we had a small argument, and then that quickly turned into way more." As I spoke, Nat's eyes grew exponentially.

"Oh, my god! Tell me more." She begged and I laughed at her enthusiasm.

"Well he asked me to be his, and I said yes. So we are dating. And then we did it. We had sex and Nat, you know I've never done it before, but seriously I can't imagine it get's any better than doing it with him. There was a crazy amount of sparks between us. Almost like my energy reacted to his lightening." I explained.

"You have no idea how happy I am for you. I know you've wanted this for so long!" Nat squeezed me tightly.

"Thank's, Nat." I squeezed her back. "I think we should go to the store and get some things for both of the boy's room's. Wanna come with me?"

"Eh, who can pass up a shopping trip." She shrugged and smiled.

We left and went to the store, picking out bedding, books, some toiletries for each of them. We had a really late lunch and lugged everything to their room's. I set up both Loki and Thor's room's. I loved the way they came out, hopefully they were going to like it too.

I went to my room and decided I want to change. I got out a little black and red dress that was cute and short. Long enough not to give Tony a heart attack, though. I curled my hair letting in fall down my shoulders.

"Hello, my dove." Loki spoke into my mind.

"Hey Loki, when will you guys be here?"

"Well there was a slight problem and a bit of treason that has occurred, but we shall be there shortly. You may wish to meet us outside."

Treason?? What on earth did these two get into now. I ran out of my room and down the stairs.

"Whoa, where's the fire?" Clint asked as I ran by.

"Outside, now! They are coming!" I smiled and got into the elevator.

It took me down and I made it outside. I watched and looked around the sky. Everyone else was shortly behind me. Suddenly a large burst of light came and landed just before us. There stood Thor gripping onto Loki's arm, who's hand's were in cuff's. Thor looked around for only a moment before his eye's landed on mine. His big smile crept across his face. Tony walked over towards them and before he knew it Thor pushed Loki to him, making Tony grab onto Loki's arm. He turned looking confused until he saw Thor was walking right for me. My smile was from ear to ear. The way Thor was looking at me, made my stomach fill with butterflies.

He marched right at me, and I ran an jumped into his arms. Wrapping my legs around his waist, and curling my fingers into his hair, while his mouth crashed onto mine. We kissed passionately, forgetting that the others were looking right at us. His one hand was on my thigh holding me up, and the other was on my cheek partly curling into my hair.

"Okay, didn't we just have a freaking discussion about this!" Tony grumbled loudly.

I couldn't help but laugh, pulling away from my kiss with Thor.

"Sorry, Tony." I said rather embarrassed. I tried to get down but Thor held me tightly.

"I missed you, my love." Thor kissed my nose.

"I missed you too. But you're going to have to put me down or else Tony might put his suit on and try to go a few rounds." I giggled. Thor looked around noticing everyone else and put me down. I fixed my dress with my hands brushing it down.

"I could take, Stark. I have once before. But, I won't for your sake." He whispered in my ear. I smiled.

"Way to put on a show for us all, you two." Clint said with a slow clap.

I rolled my eyes at Clint. I looked over after and met eyes with Loki. I tried to walk over towards him, but Thor grabbed my waist. I turned to look at him and he gave me a cautioning look.

"I'll be fine." I said quietly. He slowly let go of me and I walked over to Loki.

"Hello, Loki." I smiled at him. Loki turned to look at Thor.

"Brother, if you be so kind." He held his hands out waiting to be uncuffed.

"Uh-uh. No way." Tony stepped forward. He stood next to Loki. "You aren't taking those off until you put these on." He showed two metal looking cuffs. They weren't attached, and they had a glowing light on them.

"Tony, what are those?" I looked at him cautiously and asked.

"Magnetic power cuff's. They'll keep Loki's magic at bay while he's here. So, he doesn't cause any trouble." He explained and I looked at Tony completely shocked.

"Tony that's a really cruel thing to do! You're not putting those on him!" I argued.

"No this is non-negotiable kid. It's apart of our terms and conditions." Tony argued back.

"I'll do it. Just someone get these blasted cuff's off, so I can hug my best friend!" Loki hissed.

Thor walked over and took the magic cuffs and placed them on Loki's wrists and then removed the other cuffs. Loki rolled his wrists as well as he could and rubbed them for a moment. He then turned to me and smiled and held out his arms.

"Hurt one hair on her head brother and I swear." Thor growled.

I ran over to Loki and hugged him tightly. Loki twirled me around and squeezed me tightly in return. He breathed in deeply as his face laid in the crook of my neck.

"Oh, how I've missed you, my dove." He put me down with his hands still on my waist and my arms around his neck.

"I missed you too. I'm really sorry about all of this." I gestured around and I felt Thor wrap his arm around me pulling me out of Loki's grip. To which Loki chuckled.

"Jealousy does not suit you brother."

Thor looked at him like he was going to rip off his head. I put my hand on his cheek making him turn his attention back to me. His eye's softened.

"I think we should take this gathering inside." Nat said, looking around. There were a few people starting to stare.

We walked inside and took the elevator upstairs to the living room and kitchen area. Thor held my waist with one hand and Loki's shoulder with the other. We walked in and Thor pushed Loki down on one of the single seat couch chairs. Everyone else sat down on the couches except me and Thor and Tony. Thor held my waist tightly, I held his too and he made sure we stood farthest away from Loki.

"Okay, listen up reindeer games. These are the rules and I'm going to lay them out for ya. You're only here on account of Amara, got that?" Loki looked at me and smiled his usual mischievous smile and nodded in my direction as thanks. "You put a single toe out of line. You'll wish you hadn't. You'll wear those cuffs everyday. They will suppress your magical abilities. You will have a designated babysitter every day. You're not allowed outside of Stark tower. You have range of ALMOST any room that the others use, besides the armory. Got it?" Tony said sternly.

"Loud and clear." Loki said with annoyance and nodded.

"Amara." Tony looked at me. "You have first watch because this was your idea. Show him to his room, please." Tony nodded at me and I nodded back.

I kissed Thor's cheek making him blush a bit and I walked over to Loki and gestured with my hand to the hallway. He got up and followed quietly. We walked up the stairs and to the very end of the hall. I pointed out everyone's rooms along the way.

"This is Thor's room, this is my room and your's is here across from mine." I opened Loki's door and his room was a very light grey color, his bed set was a emerald green, there was 3 bookshelves filled with many different book titles. He walked in slowly and checked out the room.

"It's not terrible. I guess, I expected worse." Loki grumbled.

"What? Why? I'm the one who decorated it." I pouted and crossed my arms.

"Don't make that face." He pouted back mockingly. "I like it, my dove, I really do." He walked over to the bookshelf and his long slender fingers scrolled across the book's. "Did you give me these to?"

"Yep." I said popping the last P sound. "I know how much you like to read. I figured until you get on their good graces it would be nice for you to have some Midgardian literature to pass the time."

"I don't know, if I'm capable of getting on their good grace's, Amara. You have to much faith in me." Loki said and he looked down.

"I believe in you, Loki. You need to believe in yourself. You're capable of a lot more than you give yourself credit for." I walked over and gently touched his arm. He looked up at me and smiled slightly. "Come on, let's go get something for dinner and maybe properly introduce you to the team."
