A few hour's later, we landed in a large open field that belonged to a little white farm house. Clint and I walked with Nat, up to the house, followed by Tony, Thor, Steve and Bruce. As we got to the step's to the house, Clint helped Nat walked up and I followed behind them with Thor.
"What is this place?" Thor asked.
"A safe house?" Tony said behind us unsure.
"Let's hope." Clint smiled and opened the screened door and walked into the house. "Honey? I'm home." Clint called out and Laura, his pregnant wife walked around the corner surprised to see us all walk inside. "Hi. Company. Sorry, didn't call ahead." He kissed her sweetly.
"This is an Agent of some kind." Tony said to Thor, while looking around confused. I grinned at him, which made him even more confused.
"Gentlemen, this is Laura." Clint introduced her.
"I know all of your names." Laura chuckled nervously. Everyone looked at her awkwardly except for Nat and I.
"Laura." I smiled softly and she opened her arm's that I happily walked into. "Oh, it's so good to see you."
"I missed you, Amara. It's so great to see you too. The..." Laura started to speak and we heard little pitter-patter of footstep's running down the stairs. A little girl and a slightly older boy ran into the room.
"Incoming." Clint smiled.
"Daddy!" Lila ran into his arm's.
"Hi, sweetheart." He picked her up and then Cooper ran into his arm's next. "Hey, buddy. How are you guy's doing?" Clint loved on both his kid's and the rest of the team looked on very confused.
"These are smaller agent's..." Tony pointed out and I chuckled at him.
"Did you bring Auntie Nat and Auntie Amara?" Lila asked.
"Why don't you come hug them and find out." Nat grinned and Lila ran into her arm's.
"Auntie Amara." Cooper said excitedly as he walked over and hugged my side.
"Oh, my gosh. Coop. Look at you, you've grown like a whole foot since I saw you last!" I chuckled and ruffled his hair. "Where's my hug from the prettiest princess in all the land?" I pretend to look around and Nat put Lila on the floor with a laugh.
"Here, here!" She jumped in front of me excitedly and I picked her up and squeezed her tightly.
"Oh, my goodness! How have you gotten so much prettier and bigger? How is that even possible?" I kissed her face and she laughed.
"Sorry for just bargin' in on you." Steve said formally.
"Yeah, we would have called ahead, but some of us were busy having no idea you existed." Tony pointed out, smiling softly seeing me with the kid's.
I looked up and saw Tony's glance and I smiled at him. Steve was also watching me with adoration in his eye's. I smiled softly at him as well. Clint introduced me to his family shortly after Dad passed away. He wanted to make sure that I had family to always look out for me. So he brought me home to his wife and kid's over three year's ago. I immediately fell in love with them and his wife Laura. They were such a sweet, loving and very welcoming family. Making me feel included and loved, much like Pepper and Tony, but only in a more family way.
"Yeah, well, Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off Shield's files, I'd like to keep it that way. I figured it was a good place to lay low."
"I think it's best we go now, Amara..." Thor said inside my head and I looked up at him.
I could see he was uncomfortable and struggling with the images in his head. I could feel it. He stepped on some lego's and then pushed them under the couch near him with his foot. I walked up to him and grabbed his hand. Lila walked up to us and stared up at Thor without saying anything. The toaster went off after his head twitched from seeing more of the vision again. I could feel his worry. Thor walked off toward's the outside holding my hand tightly. I followed out after him quickly to keep up.
"Thor? Amara?" Steve called out walking after us.
"I saw something in that dream." Thor stated.
"We have to find answer's, and unfortunately we won't find them here. Can you apologize to the other's for me. Specially Laura and the kid's?" I asked softly and Steve nodded.
Thor grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him. He swung his hammer around and our feet left the ground.
"So where are we going?" I called out to him.
"To find Eric Selvig. He can help us find an Ancient place known as The Water of Sight." He explained.
"Okay, so where do we start?"
"London."
Thor took us to Royal Holloway, The University of London. Dr. Eric Selvig's work place as a University Professor. Thor used magic to change his clothing and I did the same. I wore jean's, a tee shirt, and a sweatshirt, that I tossed the hood up onto my head. We needed to hide out of sight, because of being Avenger's and the recent event's. Thor wore a pair of jean's and a sweatshirt as well. we waited by Eric's car for him to come out.
"I'll see you tonight." Doctor Selvig said to one of his student's. He noticed us leaning against his car and staggered from a moment before walking up closer to us. "I like the look. If you're going for inconspicuous though, near miss." He said to the pair of us.
"We need your help." Thor said to him.
"It's nice to be needed." He nodded at us.
"It's going to be dangerous." I pointed out.
"I'd be disappointed if it wasn't." The corner's of his mouth pulled up into a small smile and gestured to the car.
Thor climbed into the passenger seat and I climbed into the back. Thor explained where he wanted Selvig to lead us. After much research we started our journey and he brought us all the way to the cave's beneath, Yggdrasil's root's. When we entered the cave's we had done it. We found the Water of Sight.
"So, this is it?" Selvig said as he looked around. "The Water of Sight."
"In every realm, there's a reflection. If the water spirit's accept me, I can return to my dream and find what I missed." Thor explained as he sat down on the rock's.
"What do you mean by you?" I questioned him. "We are both doing this." I stated clearly.
"Amara, this is already dangerous enough being here. You shouldn't enter this water." Thor shook his head.
"They do say those who enter that water, well, the legend's don't end well." Selvig pointed out in a slightly nervous tone.
"Well, I had a vision too that I need answers to. So, whether you like it or not. I'm going in there." I said simply as I started to undress my clothing.
I stayed in my bra and underwear climbing into the water first, with Thor just behind me. It was like I could hear the water whispering to me, telling me what to do. To go under. I dunked my head under and suddenly there was a flash of light. I reentered the Asgardian ball room. As I walked around I found my Uncle once again. He grabbed my shoulder's and shouted at me.
"Wake up!"
I felt power surge through my body, connecting with something else. It was like I could still feel Thor still next to me, even though we were in separate vision's this time. But it was a pull of power, like his lighting was combining with my energy. I could feel what it was trying to tell me. Together we were strong. Apart we were destruction. My power surged again and I saw Ultron, along with Loki's scepter. Leading me to stones, Six infinite stone's.
"Extinction." Ultron's voice echoed.
"He's coming." A womanly voice echoed through my head.
The stone's connected and they were placed on a gauntlet in my dream. They were the center of destruction and salvation. I saw each of them along with their vessels. But then it changed and they combined together into one being. Me... Suddenly everything went white.
"Wake up, my love." The sweet womanly voice said. I stirred at the sound. "That's right, my sweet. Come back to me." The voice cooed. My eye's fluttered open and I sputter on water.
"Mother?" I questioned. I was seeing my mother standing in front of me in white. Her long brown hair was so shiny, and her bright emerald green eye's showed. She smiled at me and helped me sit up. "Where am I? Where's Thor?" I questioned her while looking around. Everything was white and shiny, it looked like my earth father's house, but, without all the color.
"You're in a place between Valhalla and your world my little love." She coo'd at me and brushed my hair behind my ear.
"I died?" I gasped and she shook her head.
"No. You're alive, but only just. I needed to speak to you. The water's granted you passage to meet me halfway. I'm here to give you answers." My mother smiled at me.
"I missed you, Ma-ma." I hugged her tightly and she loved me back. "You said you were here to give me answers. Is it to my vision?" I asked and she nodded. "Okay, then why am I connected to these stone's. Called infinite stone's?"
"Infinity Stones. The reason they form one, you, is because you were blessed with their combined power. A ancient and powerful Goddess, known as the Infinity Goddess. There's only been one other Goddess and one other witch in the universe with this power. And never at the same time. You carry the abilities that come from each stone. But, there is a cost. Every being has two side's of themselves. Like a coin. One side is a protection, the other side is destruction." She explained rolling a coin in between her finger's.
"So, like good and evil? I'm either going to protect the world? Or destroy it? Like the first vision said." I gulped slightly.
"Yes, my love. But do not fret. The path in which you lead your life now, will continue to show you the correct path. A balance is what you must find and keep. A core, a center that ground's you." She smiled at me and I received flashes of Thor in my brain, making me gasp.
"Is that why we are connected? Why I feel him, his emotion's, his powers?" I said and the word rang through my brain again. Making my mother smile at me. "Thor's my soulmate?"
"Every Infinity Goddess is granted two soulmates. Once the decision has been set, that decide's the choice in which your life will lead. Whether it's protection or destruction. You chose Thor, which made your other soulmate your guardian."
"Loki." I smiled brightly as his name rang through my head.
"Yes, my love." She smiled back at me. "That is why you feel them both so strongly. Why you have been able to read them both so well. When one is in pain you will feel it, when one is happy you feel it. Your emotions are connected."
"So, Loki's not really dead?" I raised an eyebrow and she chuckled shaking her head.
"You shall find him soon enough, mi amor." Mother looked at me up and down and her face faltered. "I must warn you. Tough time's lie ahead of you and you're friends, but you shall preserve even if it does not feel like it. Once you do you will be granted a gift, in your time of need."
"A gift? What kind of gift?" I furrowed my brows.
"You know it already. You've seen it, my child and when the time comes you will be blessed." Mother smiled. "It is time for you to go, my dear one. Thor searches and worries for you." She said as she caressed my cheek.
"I'm going to miss you, Mother." I said as I squeezed her tightly.
"I'm alway's with you, my love." She pointed to my heart. "I'll see you again, someday."
THOR:
I felt the power of my vision leave my body and I gasped for air.
"Thor!" Selvig shouted, throwing his hand out towards me. I grabbed it gratefully and he pulled me to the rock's.
I coughed up water and looked around the rock's for Amara, not seeing her. I looked at Eric's face and he must have known what I was looking for as he pointed behind me. I turned and saw Amara's body hovering above the water, with her feet still dipped inside it. He hand's were out stretched and her hair floated around her head. Amara's beautiful green eye's were glossed over white.
"Amara!" I shouted and tried to go to her, but Eric held my shoulder.
"She's been speaking. I recorded it for you." Eric looked over at Amara and held out the device in his hand. "Tell it to me again, please."
"You're fool's." Amara's mouth moved, and spoke in a deeper voice then usual.
"Amara?" I called out to her softly and her head turned to look at me.
"This is not Amara. This is Norn. The watcher over the Water of Sight's." The voice chuckled. "Fool's all of you." Her body surged with six different light's through her skin and vein's.
"How do we stop Ultron?" Eric asked.
"A sacrifice." She growled.
"What kind of sacrifice?" I asked.
"Human, of course." She spat and surged again. I wanted to run to her, but it was of no use. She had to make it through her vision. "We count the dead and they are legion. The stones will show their brilliance and show you to your end."
"The stone from Loki's specter?" Eric asked.
"There are six!" She hissed. "The infinite six, cannot be joined, nor kept apart." She cried out in pain and laughter. "This one fight's us! You're enemies are closer than you think."
Amara's body suddenly fell back down into the water. I jumped in quickly and grabbed her limp body, pulling her out of the water. Her eye's were still glazed over white. I gently pat her cheeks, hoping she would wake. Selvig checked her pulse.
"Thor, her pulse is weak, faded almost completely." He stated with worry.
"No. I will not lose her. I cannot." I shook my head as I kissed her softly. I pulled away and she didn't change. "Maybe we must dress her. Her body is frigid."
Eric walked over and grabbed her clothing from the ground and I dressed her carefully and stroked her face.
"Come back to me, my love." I cooed softly. Looking over her body worriedly.
Amara's eye were still glossed over, but she began mumbling. About soulmate's and infinity stones being apart of her. I chuckled slightly as I had seen in my vision she was apart of me. The other half to my being. She was my soulmate.
"Amara? Please come back to me. I need you. I love you." I gently scooped her up into my arm's after getting myself dressed. We walked back to the car and I sat in the back with her. Her eyes were shut and fluttered back open after about 10 minutes of driving. "Thank Valhalla, you're okay." I breathed as I laid my forehead against her's.
"We... Have to get to Tony." She said weakly giving me a small smile.
"I know, my love. We will take off soon, you need to rest."
