Part 2

"Up." I was awakened by a sudden, extremely forceful, shove. My eyes slowly pried themselves open, the harsh light from the sun filling my vision.

"I said up." This time it wasn't a shake, I was kneed in the back.

"Owwww! What the-"

"You didn't listen." My vision slowly adjusted to the light, that's when I saw Pan. No wonder it was such a harsh wake up call. He had his arms crossed over his chest, clenching his fists so hard, I was certain his fingers would break. His face was showing anger, he seemed annoyed with me, then I realized that I was literally sitting in bed staring at him when he basically commanded me to get up. Quickly, I shuffled out of the bed, wobbling as I stood, but regaining my balance in the end.

"Follow me, no questions asked." Pans strict order cut through the silence like an axe cuts wood, and with a wave of his fingers, the force field he put up last night to keep me in was removed. I followed him out of the tent, hugging my self, not being dressed for the cold wether. Since the forest was a bit lighter now than it was last night, it gave me time to examine the camp, its contents and surroundings.

Pan suddenly came to an abrupt stop, causing me to run in his back. He turned around, letting out a huff to show he was annoyed, but didn't snap at me like I thought he would. I'm assuming he could see the fear in my eyes, because that's the truth.

He petrifies me...

Pan made a 'ca coo' sound, in a sarcastic tone. Walking over to where Henry laid under a giant tree.

"Wake up!" He cheered, at least he woke Henry up nicer than he did me. He now held a cross bow and an apple in his hand, they seemed to appear out of thin air, but it's not like I've never been exposed to magic before.

"Catch." Pan chirped, throwing Henry the apple.

"I don't like apples."

"Who doesn't like apples?" Pan questioned.

"It's a family thing." Henry mumbled, making Pan and I both chuckle. But when Pan kneeled down next to Henry, his face changed, straight back into the dark threatening monster I caught a close glimpse of last night.

"Well, don't worry. They're not for eating. It's for a kind of game, a really fun game." Before I could make a move, Pan aimed the cross bow at Henry, scarring him and me to death.

"I call it target practice." Pan gestured for Henry to get up, and he stood up himself, grabbing my forearm. He pulled me behind him, turning around quickly.

"Don't move. Don't say a word. Understand?" I was shaking, no one had ever made me feel so afraid in my life. Slowly, I nodded, trying my best not to move back and make him angry, but he was towering over me, completely popping my personal bubble. He smirked at me, turning back around. I watched as he took a vile of black liquid from a lost boy, dipping the arrow in it.

"What's that?" Henry asked.

"Dreamshade." Pan replied shortly. "It's a nasty poison."

"I-If you shooting at the apple, what's the poison for?" Henry asked, his voice quivering with fear.

"Motivation not to miss." Pan replied, checking the sights on the cross bow. I watched as his arms moved quickly and forcefully, clearly giving away the fact he was strong. He could overpower me in a heartbeat. Picking a fight wasn't in the cards right now.

"Felix!" He yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Get over here." Felix sauntered carelessly over to were we stood, standing next to Pan, graciously waiting for his command.

He followed Pan like a lost puppy.

"Is Felix good? Is his aim good?" Henry asked, his voice quivering. I could disobey, I could grab Henry and run, but I had to be smart about this. My mother, Regina, taught me to always be clever. Running wasn't clever. Even though I hate it, I'll have to wait, I'll have to obey Pan.

"Doesn't matter." Pan said, looking up at Felix, who's smirk grew bigger at his words. "Your the one doing the shooting." He handed Henry the crossbow, which he took with shaking hands.

"But, I-I don't want to shoot." Ignoring Henry's protest, Pan threw the apple to Felix, giving him a few seconds to back up, placing the apple on his head.

"You won't hit him." Pan said as Henry raised the cross bow, aiming at the apple.

"Trust yourself. It's exhilarating." Pan waved his hand, signaling something to the surrounding lost boys. Then, they all began to chant.

"Shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot." Felix and Pan joined in on the chanting, encouraging Henry, but he and I both knew, one slip up, not only would Felix be dead, we would be too. With another wave of Pans hand, the boys silenced, letting Henry focus.

Right at the last second, Henry faced Pan, pulling the trigger, sending the arrow flying straight towards his chest. A gasp escaped my lips, I closed my eyes in fear, yet instead of hearing a bloodcurdling scream, the boys started cheering. I opened my eyes, to see Pan holding the arrow, barley an inch from his chest.

"Told you it was exhilarating." He took the bow from Henry, handing it to one of the lost boys.

"Come on, I have something to show you." He gestured for Henry to sit down on a log a little away from the boys and he obliged, sitting down waiting.

Pan turned back to me, holding out his arm. Oh, sure, now he pretends to be a gentlemen. The smirk on his face was taunting, practically screaming 'you don't have a choice', and I knew I didn't. Slowly, I reached out, slipping my arm through his as he lead me over to where Henry sat.

"Look at the fun their having." Pan said, pointing back at the boys. "The thing of this place, Henry, is that no one ever tells you no. You can do whatever you want." I squinted my eyes, my mouth falling agape slightly. This was the same boy who told me not to speak while my brother nearly shot him, the one who put up a force field to keep me locked inside a tent! My head turned to look at him, and the moment I was about to snap at Pan, I felt him grab my forearm, squeezing it so tightly it made me want to scream. As soon as I shut my mouth, Pan let me go, continuing his conversation with Henry. I looked down at my arm, clutching it in my hand.

He left bruises. My wrist was already coated in the blue and black bruises. There was a stringing sensation on the underside of my arm, but when I saw it, my eyes widened even more. Little red droplets of blood strained my arm from where his finger nails had dug into my skin. And Henry didn't notice. Pan barley did anything, yet here I was, his prisoner, nearly crying because of him.

He could hurt me, he could kill me.

"So you think I'm supposed to save magic?" Henry questioned, bringing me back down to earth.

"Oh I don't think, I believe. Remember I said I had something to show you." Pan reached inside his pocket, pulling out a small sheet of paper, folded up into a thin line.

"Here. I've had this for a long time, long before you were even thought of. Take a look and you'll see why I'm so sure your the hero magic has been waiting for." Pan handed Henry the paper, standing up. He signaled for me to follow him, which I did, reluctantly, but before we could leave Henry stopped us.

"I don't believe you." Henry said, making Pan chuckle.

"You remind me of your father." I squinted my brows, staring up at Pan. He grabbed my arm again, yanking me along behind him. I was dragged back to the tent, shoved straight back inside, but I was determined not to fall again. Pan came in behind me, waving his hand again and as before, the force field trapped me inside.

"Sit down." He demanded, taking a seat at his 'desk.' I stood there, my arms crossed over my chest, refusing to just obey him like a dog.

"It wasn't a question, Aspen. Sit. Down. Now." His words made me scoff, shifting my weight from one side to the other.

"What happened to 'no one ever tells you no, you can do whatever you want?'" I snapped, mimicking his British accent to the best of my abilities. Pans head snapped up, his eyes becoming dark. One second he was sitting at his desk, the next he was directly in front of me, grasping my shoulders tightly.

"That doesn't apply to you." I rolled my eyes.

"Of course it doesn't." Pan put his fingers over my lips, pinching them together so I couldn't speak. His pink lips curved into a smirk when he saw how much it bothered me.

"If you were a good girl, then I would trust you." I swatted his hand away from my mouth, wiping my lips in disgust, to which his smirk only grew.

"Why don't you trust me? What have I done now?"

"Well, for starters, you don't obey. Now," Pan pointed at the table behind him, grabbing my jaw with his hand and squeezing until he got a tiny whimper out of me.

"Sit. Down." He let go on me, walking back to his seat. So, reluctantly, I followed him, taking a seat across from him. Several minutes went by, neither of us saying a word, but Pans stare never left me. His forest green eyes, memorizing everything about my face, it was one of the scariest things about him.

His stare.

I felt like he could read my mind with it, like he could look straight into my soul. It makes you feel like a bug under a microscope, he could belittle you, make you terrified of him with a single stare.

"Why do you want to protect Henry so badly?" Pan asked suddenly.

"What?" I snapped back, watching as he clenched his fists.

"You heard me, I won't repeat myself." He's so thick headed. I narrowed my eyes on him, trying to see any sign of emotion on his face, but he remained still, waiting for my response with a blank face.

"In the end, the only thing that matters is what I've done for the people I love. I love Henry, he's my brother-"

"Adopted brother." He corrected.

"It doesn't matter!" Without realizing it, I slammed my fist on the table, making Pan quirk an eyebrow, almost like he was pleased by my response.

"Henry is my brother, Regina is my mother. Adopted or not, they are my family. Emma is like my second mother, and Snow and David have always protected me. They'll find us, and you will lose." He scoffed, leaning over the table, getting even closer to me.

"When they get here, do you really think they'll come for you?"

"Yes. They will come for Henry and I."

"No, Aspen. Will they come for you?" I scrunched my eyebrows. "Think about it. Emma isn't here for you, she's here for her son. Snow White and her charming prince are here for the boy as well. Regina doesn't love you, she only adopted you because she felt pity for you, she is just here for Henry." I shook my head repeatedly, trying to assure myself more than Pan.

"No-"

"Don't lie to yourself, Aspen. IF they get Henry back, which they won't, do you honestly think they'll care about what happens to you. Because I can promise you now, rarely will you ever be out of my sight, you'll never be free, Aspen. They will leave without you, not a drop of guilt either."

"No!" I yelled, making him smirk at my watering eyes. "They love me. They will come for me, and you will fail." Pan chuckled, standing up and leaning over me.

"Actually, sweetheart, Peter Pan never fails." Then, he blinked out of the room, leaving me trapped inside, alone, as always. His words had the same effect as his stare, he could make you feel like your whole life was a lie in a matter of seconds.

My family loves me, don't they?

I couldn't help crying, I can't be strong forever.

Regina's POV.

"Regina, everything is going to be okay." Snow said as she stood next to me.

"Snow, I can't take anymore of your feel good nonsense. My kids are somewhere out there! They could be suffering!"

"Only Aspen is suffering actually." The sudden voice behind all of us was smooth, slick, and deceptive, starling the Charmings.

Pan.

Our weapons were aimed at him, though he strode through our camp like I couldn't throw a fireball at his face.

"Where are my kids?!" Emma yelled.

"Actually, Henry is your son, Aspen is Regina's daughter." He replied smugly, raising an eyebrow.

"She is our family and we love her." David said, keeping his sword aimed at Pans throat, but he paid him no mind.

"Let my kids go before I melt your face off." Pan chuckled heartlessly, putting his hands on his hips before waving his hand. In a split second all of our weapons were flung out of our hands, flying into the forest. The fireball in my hand was put out, but I felt a restraining feeling, one that wouldn't allow me to use my magic.

"I don't think any of you have it in you. It's not like you'd care what happens to Aspen away way."

"That's not true! We love her!" Snow yelled.

"Well, you and I know that, but Aspen, well, she no longer believes that." Pan replied smug as can be, a smirk lining his lips.

"You heartless condescending little imp." I spat. "What did you tell her?!"

"Oh, simply that you didn't love her." He said, as if it were nothing. But something inside me snapped. The thought of my child thinking I don't love her, believing the worst, it was overwhelming. An animalistic growl came from my lips, running at Pan without a second thought. I grabbed the collar of his shirt, bringing a smirk back to his lips.

"I WILL RIP YOUR HEART OUT!" My furry only made him laugh. He raised an eyebrow, his smirk growing.

"You said yourself I was heartless, and your right." I let go of him, shoving him backwards. My magic was still being restrained or I would have killed him on the spot.

"I'm simply here to warn you. If you find Aspen, which you won't, she'll never want to leave this island. After all, what does she have to go back to? She knows you don't love her." We were all silent while Pan basked in his glory, but it soon ended with the demon himself speaking again.

"Well, I hate to end this lovely chat, but I'll have to be going. Bye now." He blinked out of the campsite, leaving us all alone. I felt my magic return, but he was gone, it was no use.

"Regina? Are you okay?"

"Regina, love." Hook said.

"What?"

"Don't let the boy get you down." I turned around, facing the pirate. He instantly noticed the scowl on my face, slowly cowering backwards.

"He's not a boy! He's a demon!" I spun on my heels, fuming as I walked into the forest.

"Regina! Where are you going?!"

"To find my kids! You're either with me or against me." They all stared at me for a moment before the savior spoke up.

"She's right. It's time we stop playing Pans game and he starts playing ours. We will find our kids, Regina, no matter what."

And I won't stop until they are safe.
