Gale's POV

It's been 7 years since the war ended. I'm going back to District 12. I tried to forget about Katniss but I just can't. I'm still in love. I tried to come back earlier but my job kept me busy. And I didn't come back with her because I knew she needed time to be alone after her sister's death.

She has probably been so lonely since Bread Boy went crazy that she'll probably kiss me the moment she sees me.

I talked to my mom and she said that Katniss moved to another house because she couldn't take the memories of hers and she now leave in a house behind the bakery. I guess that's because she missed Bread Boy.

But now she'll forget about him. If she hasn't already.

My train stops and I walk towards the new bakery.

Once I arrived I go around the corner and find a nice looking house. It looks like it's two stories. It's painted with a nice free and the fence is orange. There are primroses planted along both sides of the house. And you can see a willow tree in the backyard.

I knock the door and hear running on the inside.

A little girl that is almost a copy of Katniss but with blue eyes and looks like 5 opens the door. A little boy who looks like a replica of Bread Boy but with gray eyes looking slightly younger than the girl stands behind her.

'I must have gotten the wrong direction.' I think.

"Hello." The little girl says. "How may I help you?"

"Hello. Is this the Everdeen residence?" I ask.

"No sorry. This is the Mellark residence."

"Do you know we're I can find Katniss Everdeen?"

"Maybe my mom can help you better. I don't really know nobody by that name."

What do the teach this kids now a days? They should know who Katniss is.

I will have to talk to my mom for giving me Bread Boy's direction instead of Katniss'.

"Yes please. That would be helpful." I say to her.

"MOMMY!!!!" She calls out.

"Coming!" I hear a familiar voice yell back.

I then hear two voices have a little conversation. Bread Boy must be home. I wonder who married him?

I come out of my thoughts when I hear two pairs of steps coming downstairs.

First appears Bread Boy and scoops the girl up in his arms laughing but when he sees me he stops laughing.

"Who's at the door Peeta?" His wife asks but I can't help but think I know that voice from somewhere. But where have I heard it before?

And then Katniss appears next to him saying:
"Hey what's wr..." but cuts herself of when she sees me. "Gale." She whispers.

"Hey Catnip." I say.

"What are you doing here?" She asks holding on to Bread Boy's arm. He then puts an arm around her waist. And she doesn't take it off.

"I'm here to see you."

"Who is him mommy?" Asks the little boy.

"He used to be my best friend." She says emphasizing 'used'.

"Can we talk in private?" I ask her.

She looks up at Peeta as if asking for permission and he slightly nods.

"Ok." She says. "Just let me go get my jacket and shoes."

I take the opportunity to ask what I've been the most curious about:
"What are you doing here Bread Boy?"

He looks at me strangely be fore saying
"I live here."

Just then Katniss comes back says bye to her kids and gives Bread Boy a peck on the lips.

"Let's go" she says and I nod. We then walk out the door.

We walk silently until we reach the woods.

"You know I still love you right, Catnip?" I say.

"Gale..." she says sounding somewhat annoyed but I cut her off.

"What were you and your kids doing at Bread Boy's? Isn't he kind of insane? Who's the father by the way?" I ask.

"His name is Peeta and no he's not insane anymore." She says angrily. "And we live there. Peeta is their father and my husband."

"WHAT?! YOU CHOSE HIM OVER ME?!" I yell.

"OF COURSE I DO!!! YOU LEFT ME WHEN I NEEDED YOU THE MOST!!! NOT TO MENTION YOUR BOMB KILLED MY SISTER!!! AND HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS ME!!!!" She yells back and then runs away. Probably to her husband's arms.

I think it'll be better if I go back to District 2.

Katniss' POV
(Before Gale arrived)

I wake up wrapped up in Peeta's strong and safe arms. As I like and as it always is.

It's been 7 years since the war. Peeta and I married 6 years ago. We have 2 kids. Willow,who's 5, looks exactly like me but with Peeta's beautiful blue eyes and his personality. And Rye, who's 3, looks exactly like Peeta but with my gray eyes and personality.

"Good morning beautiful." Says Peeta from besides me.

"Morning handsome." I reply with a smile.

After waking up the kids and having breakfast we go upstairs to get them ready for the day.

Once I'm done with Willow she goes downstairs to play with Rye. I go into my room in which I find Peeta laying on bed.

I go up to him and kiss his cheek. He's just irresistible.

"You missed." He says and then kisses my lips.

We keep kissing which soon turns to us making out.

"MOMMY!" Willow calls which makes us jump apart.

"COMING!" I yell back I then look at Peeta and his hair and clothes are all messy and he has my lipgloss al over his face and neck. I must look similar by the way he looks at me. We look at each other and start laughing.

After we fix ourselves we go downstairs to see Willow and Rye wait by the open door.

I go into the kitchen to drink some water and I hear Peeta laugh but then he abruptly stops.

'Something's wrong' I think.

"Who's at the door Peeta?!" I called out and when I get no response I walk up there and say:
"What's wr..." I cut myself of when I see him. "Gale." I whisper.

"Hey Catnip." He says as if he hadn't been gone for 7 years.

"What are you doing here?" I ask holding on to Peeta's arm for support and he put an arm around my waist. He knows me and understands me so well.

"I'm here to see you." Gale says.

"Who is him mommy?" Asks Rye.

"He used to be my best friend." I say emphasizing 'used'.

"Can we talk in private?" Gale asks me.

I look up at Peeta to see if he is ok with and he slightly nods.

"Ok." I say. "Just let me go get my jacket and shoes."

I go inside put my boots and my jacket and go back out. I then say bye to the kids and give Peeta a peck on the lips.

"Let's go." I say and Gale nods. We then walk out the door.

We walk silently until we reach the woods.

I arrive home and dash through the door.

Peeta, who was in the living room watching tv turns around and sees my state. He opens his arms for me and I don't hesitate to run into his warm embrace. I cry in his shirt but he doesn't seem to mind.

"What happened?" Asks Peeta and I tell him everything. As always because we keep no secrets from each other.

When I'm done telling he he says:
"Shh. It's ok. It's gonna be ok. Shh." Trying to calm me down. After I calm down we get the kids for dinner and continue with our live.

I really do love my Boy With the Bread and our children more than anything in this world. And I couldn't be happier.
