as dylan said in his recent interview, we have made the amicable decision to break up. although we know we don't owe anyone an explanation, we feel that because we publicised our relationship, you should, at least, be aware. thank you for the kind messages and comments, i've seen all the love, and i greatly appreciate it. please don't harass anyone, especially dylan, as like i mentioned, it was a mutual decision that we both agreed on, and there is absolutely no animosity between us. i'll be back soon. thank you. i love you.

Clara furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she heard a knock on her front door. She glanced at her phone to check the time, as it was late, and she hadn't invited anyone over.

Standing up from her position sitting comfortably on her couch, Clara made her way to the door, looking out the window to find Harry standing there.

Clara huffed a small, albeit confused, chuckle as she opened the door and crossed her arms over her chest. "Harry? What are you doing here?"

An amused smile took over Harry's features as he slightly tilted his head. "What happened to 'hello Harry, how are you?'"

Clara raised her eyebrows, and she couldn't prevent the small smile that tugged at the corners of her lips at the playful words as she recited them. "Hello Harry, how are you?"

"That's better." Harry grinned, his dimples becoming more prominent as he did so. "I'm great Clara, how are you?"

Clara's smile grew as she nodded at the words, stepping aside to allow him to enter her house. "I'm good, Harry. Better now, actually."

Harry huffed a chuckle as he watched her reaction, pleased that he made her laugh and, possibly, forget about her breakup for a while. He entered her house, waiting for Clara as she closed the door behind him and walked further inside, before following after her.

"Do you want anything? A drink, or a snack?" Clara questioned as she walked towards the kitchen, Harry sitting on one of the chairs in front of the counter as he rested his forearms on the table.

"Just water, please." Harry answered politely, Clara nodding as she pulled out a glass from one of the kitchen cabinets and poured cold water in it.

"So, what brings you here this late, H?" Clara started as she approached the counter, standing opposite Harry and handing him his glass, which he gladly took.

"I thought I'd surprise you in person, instead of FaceTiming again. I've missed seeing you in person." Harry briefly explained, taking a sip of his water as he did so, eliciting a grateful smile from Clara at the words. "I would've come over earlier, but I had to do a few more things for the documentary."

Truthfully, he wanted to make sure she was okay. Even though Clara had insisted on just FaceTiming almost every day, despite wanting to see him in person, Harry knew her insistence was purely because she just didn't want to inconvenience him.

Despite routinely telling her she wasn't a burden, Harry still knew that, deep down, Clara still felt bad for talking about her problems. She thought she could handle everything on her own without stressing out anyone else, too. Harry knew exactly how that felt, and he also knew that occasionally, some problems can't always be fixed alone.

"Well, thank you for coming over." Clara rested her palms on the countertop as she felt a tinge of warmth tug at her heart when she caught Harry's gaze. "I appreciate the company."

"Of course, it's no problem at all." Harry grinned. "Really, I don't mind."

Clara gratefully smiled again, and began to make her way to the living room, speaking up as she sent Harry a glance on the way. "Come on, I'm halfway through 'Love Actually'."

"Yes, that's one of my favourite movies!" Harry excitedly exclaimed, successfully eliciting an entertained chuckle from Clara, as he stood up and hurriedly followed after her, breaking out into a half-jog mid-way.

As the two sat down next to each other on one of Clara's couches, Harry suddenly grabbed her legs and pulled them up to rest across his thighs, resulting in Clara's body slightly, and involuntarily, reclining.

Clara's eyebrows raised in surprise as she didn't expect the action, catching Harry's attention, the man just sending her a tight-lipped smirk as he gently patted her legs in response, his hand holding onto her ankles so her legs didn't fall off. "Just getting comfortable."

Harry and Clara acted like this frequently, and while they had continually insisted to everyone who joked around with them about it that their actions were just fun and platonic, Harry could still hear his friends purposely baiting him in the back of his mind.

Containing the wide smile that threatened to appear on his lips at the sound of the many comments about him and Clara being a couple voicing in his mind—as the idea was all he could ever want—Harry just turned to face the tv, as Clara pressed play on the remote.

As Clara tried to focus on the movie, she successfully pushed back the butterflies that scurried around her stomach, and the happiness she felt when she occasionally glanced at Harry, who was still loosely holding onto her ankles, his other elbow resting on the arm of the couch, his thumb holding up his jaw, his index finger resting on his cheek, and the rest of his fingers slightly curled in front of his lips in concentration.

Observing the way his chest calmly rose and fell with every breath he took, the way the creases under his eyes became slightly more pronounced and the corners of his lips tugged upwards when he found parts of the movie amusing, the way strands of his hair curled and draped across his forehead, and generally every small movement he made, Clara suddenly had to remind herself where she was.

Snapping out of her daze, Clara blinked, turning to face the tv again as she remembered that if she stared for too long, Harry would eventually feel it and question why.

Luckily, he was heavily invested in the movie, and he didn't seem to notice.

Furrowing her eyebrows, Clara had to question herself for what had just happened. Her friend's voices rang out through her mind, asking her if she had feelings for Harry, and joking around with her about it, and Clara suddenly stopped herself from reflecting on her own feelings for too long.

Convincing herself it meant nothing, Clara decided it was a problem for later her to deal with, and she successfully shifted her focus back to the movie.
