Sooooo has anyone else noticed how EVERY character, whether they start out as Royal or Rebel, or even seem neutral, show a rebellious side sooner or later?! Apple is seriously the ONLY true Royal in Ever After High! Here, let me give you some examples:
Briar
She starts out as a fashionista who is true to her destiny. But then...THRONECOMING. Now she's scared of her destiny because she'll lose her friends...which doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Yes, while she may lose Apple and Ashlynn or the like, whose to say she won't make friends with the castle staff or the nobility at the castle? She won't lose everyone, especially her family. Family before friends, right? I mean otherwise she's implying that her friends are more important to her, which makes her seem like a bad person. We don't want that Mattel, right?
Ashlynn
One word: HUNTLYNN The ship that ruined it all. In my opinion, she's one of the cutest and (was) most devoured Royals. Have you SEEN her with shoes? First episode anyone? But now, Hunter, who isn't even that attractive in my opinion, has stolen her heart and now she can only be with him, even if it means forfeiting her destiny!
Daring
He seemed like the perfect prince..well sorta. The narcissim is kinda hard to get by. But, now he's in a relationship with 2 girls and likes another! Aside from being a player, he's no longer true to his story. However, to be fair, he doesn't exactly know his destiny yet. In the books, and correct me if I'm wrong, daring is only considered to be the Snow White prince, but he hasn't actually signed the Storybook yet. Still, it does seem highly likely, and even so, he's a Royal, so he shouldn't be cavorting with girls, even if he might be in a destiny with them.
Lizzie
About the same reasons as Raven. She's a villain and doesn't want to be one. Case closed. Also, she's kinda caught up in the whole Dizzie thing, although it's unclear as to if she has gone on any other dates with him. The whole 'nicer Queen of Hearts' is ruining one of the most profound Royals ever! In the beginning, we are deceived! Before Lizzie's character really develops, in Stark Raven Mad, Headmaster Grimm describes her as "a true villain" or something like that...someone know the exact quote? Anyways, why couldn't she stay that way?!
Maddie
This is a little different. It's the fact that Mattel made her a flat out Rebel without a reason. Maddie LOVES being mad, embraces the idea of being the next Mad Hatter and all of that. WHY ISN'T SHE A ROYAL?! Now don't say it's because she's friends with Raven. Apple is still friends with Raven, and she is THE Royal. And if the only reason is because when Mattel started the EAH doll line, they needed 2 royals and 2 rebels, well that's just about the stupidest reason ever.

Ok so I'm done. And yes, I know that Bunny and Alistair are Royals, but trust me, as their characters develop, we'll see something rebellious and I bet it's their romance.
