Vanessa POV:

I woke up around eight in the morning, I rolled over and looked at Austin, he was sound asleep still. After the night before I thought I would have awoken to a hangover, surprisingly I don't.

I got out of bed and put a robe on, I looked outside and decided to take a breath of the fresh air, I then walked out onto the balcony putting my hand on the rails and closed my eyes, taking a couple deep breaths. I stood out there for a bit looking at the sky and watching us move through the water, it was so peaceful and beautiful. I started thinking about, why we were on this trip and if Austin was really going to propose.

I walked back in and tried waking Austin up, seeing if he wanted to for a walk. He just rolled over and ignored me. I then tried calling Lexi and got no answer with her either.

I decided to head down to the pool since everyone was still sleeping, I put on my bikini and grabbed a towel. I then sent Lexi a message letting her know where I'll be, and left Austin a note as well.

I got over to the pool, and liked that there was really nobody around. I figured that I'll have a little peace and quiet then. I grabbed a lounge chair and laid out my towel, I then put on some sunscreen, my sunglasses and laid down on the chair closing my eyes enjoying the sounds of the birds flying by making noises and hearing the sounds of the waves was so relaxing.

"Good morning Vanessa." I heard. I didn't recognize the voice and slowly lifted up my glasses. It was Chris the bartender.

"Hello." I said with a smile.

"Can I get you anything?"

"I think right now I'll just have an ice water with lemon please."

"Sure thing." He said before walking away. I then watched him walk away and my heart felt like it was racing. It was racing so fast I thought I was going to faint. Wow.. he's so damn good looking. I put my glasses back on and laid back down to relax.

"You never called, are you enjoying your trip so far?" He asked.

I lifted my sunglasses to see he brought me my water. "Its been ok." I say quietly.

"I see you are you here by yourself, howcome?"

"Everyone is still sleeping so I decided to come here and relax, get some sun."

"Where are you from?" He asks

"Denver."

"No kidding? I'm from Greeley." He says surprised.

"Do you still live there or do you just live on this ship?" I ask.

"I do still live there actually, I just do this a few months out of the year." He says.

"Wow, small world." I say. "What else do you do for work then if you only do this a few months out of the year?"

He sat down on the chair next to me, folding his hands and smiled "I actually own a travel company, how about you you?"

"I work from home, processing medical billing." I said as I tried to look away from him, I felt nervous talking to him, and was worried about what Austin would think if he saw him talking to me.

"It's always nice to work from home, you set your own hours, and it's up to you if you want to work weekends or not." He says smiling.

"Yea I enjoy it, I still have to go in once a week but that's fine with me." I say with a nervous giggle.

"Well I better get back to helping the other people, don't be a stranger." He says standing up.

I looked around quick to see if Austin was coming or even Lexi, and feel a little relief that they didn't see me talking to him. I lay back down and think about how he only lives about an hour away from me, what a small world.

If he owns a travel company, why the hell is he on this cruise bartending? I think to myself. I grab my water and take a drink, I then see Austin, Lexi and Drake walking up to me all in their bathing suits.

"I can't believe you came down here by yourself." Lexi says as she sits down next to me.

"I tried calling you."

"Sorry, I was nursing my hangover." She says putting on her sunscreen.

Drake and Austin walk by and both jump into the pool doing cannonballs splasheing us, and causing both Lexi and I to scream.

"That's it, they're in trouble now." Lexi laughs as she stood up "Come on, let's go get them."

I stood up and we both jumped in the pool splashing the guys. We had a little fun with them as we started jumping on their backs like were little kids, wrestling with them as they both tried dunking us under the water.

Chris POV:

I couldn't help myself but watch her, I don't know why, there's something about her, she's obviously taken. but that smile of hers is contagious that makes me smile. Seeing her with him, and hearing about how he treats her, irked me. I sorta felt a little jealousy seeing her smiling and laughing while she was with him. I then smacked myself what the hell am I thinking? I don't know her, and she doesn't know me. She's here with him, I just need to let her be. I know I know him from somewhere, but where?

I finish serving my guests and happened to notice her get out of the pool, with them following behind. She grabbed her towel, dried off and started walking over my way. Damn my heart just skipped a beat just watching her walk over here.

I had to shake my head, and started making myself look busy so she didn't notice me eyeing her. I couldn't help but roll my eyes up to see her, while washing glasses. Damn that body of hers, those curves, her breasts and those long legs, wow. Who am I kidding? She's here on vacation with someone else, I need to stop thinking about her.

"Hello."

I heard her beautiful voice and looked up, she was smiling, which got me to smile back at her "What can I get you?"

She was leaning over the bar, and hopefully she didn't notice that my eyes took a quick look at her breasts "What do you suggest?" She asked innocently.

"How about a kiss on the lips." I blurted out.

She blushed "That's a drink? She asked with a questionable look.

"Yes ma'am." I smiled.

"What's in that?" She asked as she sat down on the stool.

"Well, it's blended in ice with peach schnapps, mango mix and a little grenadine." I smile and lean forward looking in her eyes "Unless you would like me to actually kiss you on the lips." I say lowly, then realized what I said and stepped back.

She turned a little red and looked as if she didn't know what to say "I'll take both." She giggled.

"As much as I would be willing to take you in my arms and passionately kiss you, I don't think your boyfriend would like that... how long have you been together anyways?" I ask curiously.

"Well I was only kidding about the kiss, but we've been together for six years now, we had met in college." She said with a smile.

"Hmm..." I hummed. After mixing the drink I handed it to her "Taste it." She then took a small sip "So how does it taste?"

"I like it." She says taking another sip.

I was just about to ask her another question, but saw her boyfriend walk up behind her. I stepped to the side and smiled at him.

"Hey man, can I get two glasses of beer, a pina colada, and four shots of tequila." He asked irritated.

"Sure thing."

"I see you got yourself a drink." I heard him say to her.

"I want sure what I wanted, he suggested that I try this drink, so I had him make it quick to see if I would like it. I was about to order the other drinks when you walked up." She says.

"Can we get a tray to carry these drinks please?" She asked kindly.

I reached down below the bar and pulled out a tray setting it on the bar, I then placed all their drinks on the tray for them.

She grabbed the tray and carried it back to their table. What an ass, I thought to myself as I watched her carry the tray with him just walking behind her, he never even offered to carry it for her.

Vanessa POV:

I carried our drinks back to the table setting the tray down, and handed everyone their drinks. As I hand Austin his beer I notice his expression on his face, he hasn't been acting the same as I've always known him and it's almost as if he has something on his mind. I've also noticed that he's a lot more distant and more snippy.

I know that we port at St. Maarten tomorrow, maybe we can do some exploring by ourselves and finally have a talk, it would be nice to know what his deal is.

Later that night we we're getting ready to go to sleep, when I heard his phone going off, I looked over at him and smiled when I saw that he ignored it.

I then tried to snuggle up to him thinking that he might want to fool around

"Sorry hun, not tonight. I'm really tired." He says rolling to his other side. I felt a little hurt and rolled over.

I tossed and turned for a while and decided to get up and look at his phone. I turned his phone on saw that he recieved a text message from Kenna, I then clicked on the message, but it came up asking for a password.

What the fuck? I say quietly setting his phone down. I could feel tears starting to form and knew something wasn't right. I got dressed and decided to go for a walk.
