John's pov

Running.

Is what I've been currently doing, back and forth through my room, my siblings and classes.

But today in particular. I'm running from your average school bullies.

Thomas Jefferson. Charles Lee, and  Samuel seabury

Its kinda pathetic if you really think about it, hiding in janitor closets and running full speed down the halls after bathroom breaks hoping not to run into them.

"DAMMIT LAURENS COME BACK HERE, YOU FUCKER!" charles Lee shouts from far behind me. Obviously mad at I spilled milk on his "new 100 dollar shirt" which was also obviously from Walmart.

Slamming myself into the nearest classroom, I back up far away from the door and hide behind one of the shelves which I've managed to push forward far enough to squeeze through.

Simply I needed to catch my breath. For if I ran any longer I would possibly pass out, or slip and they would catch me.

I can hear a few of them pass the classroom, thankfully, but I know way to well that Thomas would stop and check each classroom without a teacher in it. Knowing I was to much of a baby to talk to the teachers about why I was out of breath and scared for my life.

In panic, I slowly pull out my phone to text herc. Knowing he was near here because is classroom was down the hall. I knew it was my best hope since he and laf were the only ones who knew I was being bullied.

I never bothered to tell Alex because I didn't want him to be upset and try and fight em' he needs this collage more than anyone and I'll be damned if he loses his changes because of a couple of two year olds poking fun at me.

I wait here for what feels like forever when I hear this classroom door open, my blood immediately runs cold, knowing it could either be my enemy or my friend. Shaking slightly I hold my breathe as Long as I can

"laur?" hercs voice fills the classroom, as I immediately calm down and let out the breathe I was holding.

I squeeze out from behind the book shelf and run up to herc hugging him softly before thanking him.

"You need to be more careful dude" herc says putting a strong hand on my shoulder.

"yea..yes I know. Did you see em'? Outside I mean? Or was I being dramatic and thought they were there when they weren't? I ramble softly

"yea T-jef was out there, not far from the classroom but far enough where I was able to sneak in and get you." herc answers glancing behind him, seeing that Jefferson was no longer in sight.

"yea..ok lets go" herc motions for me to follow him after being sure Jefferson is gone. Except for lee(who is sadly in this class to) just frowns

We trail down the hall all the way to my next class before I turn around and give him a hug, if it wasn't for him. I'll probably be getting my head dumped in a toilet, or something.

"hey man thanks for looking out for me, y'know with Jefferbitch and all..You really didn't have to" I gratefully say to him, slightly pulling away from the hug.

"No problem bro, I told you. If you come down to the gym with me, laf and Alex, you wouldn't have to depend on us so much. You could bet jeffershits ass for days!" herc whisper shouts to me.

I giggle a little and shake my head patting him on the shoulder.

"I'll go to the gym, when peggy stops wearing yellow"

"well shit that'll never happen, she wears some type of yellow in all her outfits!!" herc yells as I turn my back to him putting my hand on the door knob.

"exactly hercy my boi, see ya man. Go get to class before your teacher starts marking you down as skipping to fuck laf again" I shoot over my shoulder entering the class I was already late for.

"yea yea..dick head" I hear here mumble walking away back to his class.

I gently laugh to myself before turning to meet the teachers and the rest of the students eyes. I clear my throat ready to explain my 100th excuse on why I wasn't here on time..again.

"laurens, care to explain why you're late to my class, again.'(told ya) the teacher(name???? Um..I keep forgetting) glares at me while the other students giggle. Except for lee(who is sadly in this class to) who just frowns? What the hells up with him? Besides the fact I messed up his shirt which he's seemed to change out of.

"um see, i-i..Jefferson was chasing me down the halls and-..i-i g-got stuck in a classroom..and um..You know he's taller, and stronger t-than me so I was like b-basically(laughs nervously to hide the pain) a ant running from a-a ant eater..not that he would eat me!! Because that's cannibalism..after all, but in retrospect..You could say I was and that he did?? No that's just..nasty..I'll just shut up now..ok..hi." mentally slapping my self I just shuffle to the last chair open which SURPRISE SURPRISE. It was by Lee.

"hey laurens" Lee whispers to me while I slam my head against the desk repeatedly.

"what." I answer bluntly not really in the mood since I just embarrassed myself in front of the whole class including the teacher..

"thanks for not snitching on me to..doesn't mean I'm not gonna stop bully you. You are still a useless piece of shit..but thanks" he mumbles out, I can practically see the blush forming on his features.

"mhm" I sigh out just keeping my head on the desk, hoping it'll feel my pain and take me to Disney  world or some shit. Just away from here.

Y'know this is a lesson learned. After many many lessons of course..always walk with friends even if you're at lunch and they are in class. (except for peggy and laf but I missed them while running for my life) so that you don't end up late and sit next to one of your bullies who will probably torture you IN class.. Anyways my point is. Create a buddy system.

100% will save your life, unless you don't have any..than just. Be so normal, that you can't stand out..yep that's my take on this...

"LAURENS PAY ATTENTION" yea I should probably do that.

Even a/n I really liked this chapter and I hope you guys to do, ummm I don't know if laurens rant made since but it kinda wasn't suppose to but if you got it than..yayy! Anyways imma go and update another book I guess. 💞
