You're Mine Now (Encre x Fallacy Part 1)
Encre was taken to Fallacy's castle after she had been
damned by her father for sleeping with a vampire.
The child proves it! (Apparently)
And her hours upon hours of staying in the forest which is forbidden also proves it!
So Fallacy whisked her away into a life of isolation. Where she
eventually had her first child, whom she named Gradient.
Fallacy, after the birth of his son, turned Encre, with Encre's permission of course, into a vampire! He had quite the colorful fangs too! They were rainbow! A beautiful pair of fangs for the the vampire kings master piece!
The End!

"Encre!" My mother called.
"Coming mother!" I exclaimed while packing a small suitcase that lay open on my bed.
My name is Encre. I live with mother and father in a nice home. Mother loves art while Father loves everything to do with science.
Folding a few of my dresses I placed them neatly inside said suitcase along with my other necessities.
Im supposed to be going on a trip across the world with mother, to another kingdom so she can paint a portrait of a kings newly born son. But father has to stay here since he's working for our king in this kingdom. I'll miss him but I want to learn to paint from mother.
I closed the suitcases lid and clipped it shut.
Father mainly focuses on dangerous monsters because of how destructive they are. Or that's what he tells me. I don't really understand how they're so destructive.
Glancing around my art covered room I spot my satchel next to the newest painting of my parents home. I quickly went over and retrieved it, putting it over my shoulder.
To me, every monster is a painting. You can try and draw the same design over and over in the same place but it won't come out the same. Art is a never ending cycle of difference, there will always be something different no matter how small.
I ran back to my bed, grabbed my suitcase and rushed out to the stairs. My feet padded down the stairs, my different shaped eye lights catching father giving mother a kiss. He turned to me and scooped me into his arms, giving me a hug.
But why are dangerous monsters any different?
Doesn't every monster have something different about them? Is it right for us to shun them and hurt them just because they have different views then us? I don't understand.
"You be good to your mother okay Encre." Father smiled at me.
I nodded my head with giddy excitement, "I will father!"
Father chuckled, turning towards mother who gingerly took my 7 year old self from his arms.
"We love you Encre. Never forget that." Mother kissed my cheek while I giggled in response.
With last farewells, mother and I were on our way to the kingdom of humans and monsters.
~Time Skip 13 Years Later~
Sighing, my pencil hit the page I was currently working on. It was supposed to be a beautiful butter cup filled field with a gentle breeze flowing threw it. But I ended up drawing a thorny red rose trapped in a glass sphere.
Mother and I never did return to our old kingdom. Shortly after my mother and I left, our kingdom was massacred by an enemy kingdom. My father included. It hurt when mother told me about it twelve years later. She had kept it from me for so long
I sketched cracks on the glass sphere.
With father's death and the new appearance of monsters that are known as vampires, it all seemed to be getting out of hand.
Mother had gotten sick last year, forgetting everything constantly now. Even me.
The scientists don't have a name for this illness or an answer as to wether it is curable or not.
I ended up receiving mothers job as a royal painter after she got too sick to continue. She still lives in the castle, just with a maid tending to her on hand and foot. She finds the maid irritating but doesn't say anything against it.
I start painting the rose with a vibrant crimson coloring.
I hope mother gets better soon. Watching her paint is a wonder. And the king wants to see her up and lively again. But I can't help feeling as though she won't make it into next Christmas. Although mother was never one to give up easily.
Shading the petals of the rose I deemed it finished for the day. Cleaning up my art supplies I organize everything into its rightful place, just like mother always had it. Leaving my painting on the slightly bent table, I grabbed my worn satchel and headed out of the room.
It was late at night, possibly the middle of the night, as I headed down the corridor. Apparently the night before the guards had caught a vampire. I've heard rumors but I would like to see if they are true. If vampires are really savages only looking for blood.
'Maybe it's a bad idea to go down there alone.' 'But it's behind bars.' 'But it can still reach through the bars.' 'Not if your far enough away.' 'What if it tries to use magic or enchant me with its eyes?' 'We have magic binding bars for a reason. And just don't look into its eyes if it bothers you that much.' I sighed in defeat and rerouted my course to the holding cells.
'I still think this is a bad idea.' 'But you could get answers that were left unanswered.' 'Isn't my subconscious supposed to tell me not to go near anything new or possibly life threatening?' 'I'm not a normal subconscious now am I?' 'Forget I even asked.'
I reached the wooden door to the cells all to soon. No guards were present which was strange. Unless they were inside? Reaching for the door nob, I slowly open it and peek through only to find no one? Actually now that I think about it, where is everyone? I cautiously entered and closed the door behind me beginning to walk.
Dimly light lights littered the cobbled walls. This place seemed like it hadn't been used in a long time. It was a short corridor before I reached the beginning of the cells. Gripping onto my satchel out of a nervous habit, I proceeded down the slightly narrower then I wanted hallway. I glanced inside of each cell until I reached the last one. A little ball of black seemed to huddle in the corner.
'You should speak to it.' 'Did I ask for your opinion?' 'I was just thinking maybe, oh I don't know. If you TALK to it then it would stop your constant shaking?' I puffed out a sigh of annoyance. My subconscious was right, I was shaking like a leaf. Maybe talking would do some good.
I faced the bars and upon closer inspection of what seemed to be a small being, little shakes and shivers could be seen. I felt sad for it, "Excuse me?" It flinched but turned its head so it could look at me. It was a child? A dark boned child at that. Are the guards sure that this is a vampire? The child's eyes are a vibrant magenta with a golden star in one of them. His eyes are wonderful!
The little one cocked its head to the side, quite clearly examining me. A tiny closed lipped grin graced its features and the child stood, walking over to the bars. The child placed its hands on the bars and frowned.
I crouched closer to the bars then I wanted but still far enough away that even if the child did reach out then he couldn't grab me. Examining the child I noticed just how sad he looked. His clothes worn and torn. A bruise here and there.
Then an idea popped into my head, my shaking died away. 'You better not be doing what I think your doing.' 'I am and I will. I want to see this child smile.' I took out a small square piece of paper and a pencil from my satchel. Starting to sketch I kept looking from the paper to the child.
The child was looking from me to the paper curiously.
Just as quick as I started, I finished it and looked it over. It looked exactly like the child, only without color. Feeling satisfied, I folded said paper and held it out to the child.
He took it gingerly as if trying not to scare me off and opened the paper. Upon seeing what was on the paper the child seemed to bite back a squeal. He looked up at me and gave me a large toothy grin, a pair of fangs on the top row of his teeth.
I could only stare and give him the gentlest smile I could muster. In truth I was very afraid of vampires but I also had a weird fascination for them. I have a feeling that's from my father. But this child is a vampire. Any disbelief I had was instantly washed away.
I stood and brushed off my tan dress that raised just above my shoes. 'Your gonna need to get that dress cleaned.' Ignoring my subconscious, I waved at the child who took on a saddened look.
"Your not coming back. Are you." The child stated, shocking me with his quiet and soft toned voice. It didn't occur to me that the child could actually speak.
I blinked at the child, "I can't come back. I'm not supposed to be down here in the first place. The only reason I was even able to come down here is because the guards, for some reason, aren't on duty." I explained.
'You probably shouldn't be telling a VAMPIRE this information.' 'It's a KID! What's a child going to do?' 'I don't know, maybe FLY out?' 'Magic binding bars remember?' 'Tell me, do vampires need magic to use their wings?' 'I'm not going to answer that.' 'Because you know I'm right.' 'Well I wish my subconscious would be helpful instead of leading me astray.' 'Your the one who created me when mother wasn't around.' I puffed out a sigh.
"Excuse me miss, could I know your name before you leave?" The child asked sweetly.
'Don't give him your name.' I ignored my subconscious once again, "My name is Encre."
"That's a lovely name! Come back tomorrow?" He gave me an innocent pleading expression.
I shook my head, "I could get punished for doing something like this." I realized I didn't have a name for the child. Maybe the child will give me his name if I ask? Opening my mouth to speak but the child shook his head and put a finger to his lips. I tilted my head in confusion but didn't hear anything.
When I opened my mouth again he shook his head furiously and beckoned me over but I shook my head. That's when I felt it. A presence behind me that seemed dangerous. 'Run.' I decided to listen to my subconscious this time. Turning on my heel I sprinted back down the hallway and through the wooden worn door closing it quickly and quietly.
Backing away from the door I was panting. Putting my hand over my furiously beating soul. 'You felt someone behind you right?' I didn't even respond as I turned away from the door. 'Nothing seems right. Everything seems wrong.' I walked down another corridor while glancing around. 'What seems wrong?' 'Everyone is gone.' 'Maybe their sleeping?' 'Why of all times, when a vampire is in the castle, would the guards be sleeping?' 'Just an idea.' The conversation ended there.
Glancing around I didn't see anything suspicious. Although I should go home now. Maybe tomorrow everything will be fine.
I don't live in the castle like mother. I have my own home which I transformed into an art shop. The king insisted that he will pay for any of my needs but I want to be independent. Working as a painter is fun but it's tedious and unrelenting.
I walked out of the castle and wave to the few guards who were actually outside. Maybe I should tell them about the small vampire? 'That would be a good idea.' Quickly walking over to the guards and explaining the situation while leaving out the part where I sketched a picture of the child and gave it to him. They cautioned me about being more carful and to never do it again and sent me on my way.
While walking away I glanced back and noticed that the guards were now panicking. They were running around with fearful expressions seeming to be looking for something. Whatever it was, I don't know.
I increased my speed a small bit and made it back to my home.
My shop was a good ways away from the castle so I don't get many visitors.
Opening the door I walked through closing and locking it. Going around my shop I opened a door to the upstairs, closing it behind me. Walking up said stairs, I opened the door to my room going inside. I left the door slightly agar behind me.
A sigh of relief escaped me as I walked over to my messy bed and sat down on it. I grabbed my satchel and opened it only to have two black balls shoot out, making me shriek in frightened surprise.
My satchel now discarded on the floor, I glanced around but I didn't see anything suspicious. Maybe it was just my imagination? 'Maybe your seeing things?' I put my skull in my hands and laid down on my bed, "I need actual lights in here." Muttering I grabbed whatever blanket was behind me and snuggled into it. "Maybe tomorrow will be like any other normal day." Yawning I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
~
I woke very uncomfortable since I had forgotten to change into my pajamas. Sitting up, I rubbed my sockets as I looked around my now lit up room. Stretching, I got up receiving a few satisfying pops from my spine. I didn't feel like getting up since it was my day off but got up anyways since I still needed to change.
Getting up I changed my clothes but couldn't help but noticed when I looked up that two black balls were up in the rafters of my ceiling. Curious, I grabbed a broom that was in my room from how messy my art projects got. I wasn't going to whack them hard, I was just curious as to what they were.
The rafters were low enough that I didn't have to stretch far and the broom was more then capable of reaching far. I poked the bigger black ball and it flinched in response.
Were they living creatures? Bats maybe?
