Chapter 16
It was the first rays of sunshine that awoke him, but also, it was the fact that Eve felt rather unusually warm than normal.
He could feel something hard poking at the base of his spine, a warm object coiled around his torso with warm fingers splayed across his chest.
Panic caused his heart to stop before resuming its function at an even faster pace. He slowly turned his head, his eyes falling at the most handsome creature he had ever laid eyes upon. Shirtless, with only a pair of blue boxer peeking from beneath the sheets, Adam looked like a god with each breath he took. Black shadows covered his jaw, the roughness of his morning beard scratching against his pale shoulder, his warmth breath soothing the abused skin.
What have I done? Eve thought, his breaths coming in faster when he realized his nakedness beneath the sheets and the fact that the hard object poking his lower back was actually Adam's morning wood. He wanted to jump out of the bed and scream but he also wanted to stay in Adam's embrace, smelling the unique scent that only Adam had. He felt conflicted and begun to move, trying to pry himself from Adam's grip.
"Stop moving," a voice groaned, muffled by the pillow.
Eve panicked, his body jerking from an unknown muscle spasm, sending him falling over the side of the bed with a dull thud.
"I told you," Adam muttered when he peeked at Eve who had yet to move from the floor. Eve could feel his face grow hot from embarrassment, his nudity in full display in Adam's gaze. The male merely sighed and hopped off the bed, setting the blanket on Eve's naked form, leaving him in his blue briefs that accentuated the perfect curve of his behind, the dimples on his lower back shifting every time he took a step, "I'm going to take a shower."
Eve blinked. He was confused. Why was Adam acting so casually after what happened the night before? Not thinking of his own appearance, he rushed behind Adam and grabbing his arm with the sudden burst of confidence that flowed through his veins.
"Wait!" Eve cried out, his breath coming in soft puffs. The older male looked at him, his expression unreadable. Eve could feel his confidence waver but nonetheless he spoke with a trembling and unsure tone, "Aren't we going to talk about last night?"
Adam frowned, "Why? You already got from me what you needed," the male said, pulling his arm away from Eve's grasp and making his way into the bathroom.
What did he do that made his only friend upset?
********
Evan. Evan.
It was a name Adam had begun to despise. A name that for some reason Eve was still able to mutter in his sleep, despite the bruises that still marred his precious and delicate skin.
"Fuck," Adam muttered under his breath as he leaned his forehead against the wall of the shower, letting the warm water soothe his turbulent thoughts. Things were getting worse.
He had never expected his feelings for Eve to increase but with last nights little rendezvous, he couldn't help but wonder that maybe deep inside Eve's big heart, there would be a place just reserved for him.
I want all of him, Adam thought, his selfishness causing him to clench his fists the urge to rush out of the bathroom and pull the frail Eve into his arms, not matter what words came out of his pretty mouth. A mouth that had felt full and soft last night, the red tint that had appeared when the slender male moaned while Adam touched him.
A groan left his throat, blood rushing towards the particular member between his legs. Without much thought, he turned the knob, letting the freezing water keep him from thinking of ways of ravishing Eve.
*********
Eve glanced at the breakfast Adam had made, a dish the was hot and ready after Eve had taken his own bath, washing away the memories of the night before.
He felt his cheeks flush, the sudden beating of his heart forcing him to stuff bacon into his mouth to keep from squealing of embarrassment. It had been his first sexual contact with anyone, the tingling sensation from his first orgasm sending shivers down his spine.
Quit it, he thought, It's most likely it'll never happen again.
"I thought we should do something relaxing today," Adam murmured, "Like a park or something."
Eve blinked, his eyes falling on the taller male, "What for?"
Adam rubbed the back of his neck, "Or we could stay in if you want."
"Meow," he heard Wolverine say, his white fur brushing against his leg,his green blue eyes blinking up at him as if saying, Are you gonna talk about the elephant in the room?
Eve glanced at him, "Enough. I want us to talk."
Adam frowned, "Talk?"
Eve stood up, the origin of his confidence unknown when he pushed Adam against the refrigerator. Since when did he get so bold?
"Why are you acting so causally?" Eve confronted. he watched as Adam's eyes darkened, his jaw clenching.
"Why do you want to know?" the taller male murmured, "So you can laugh at me?"
Eve blinked in confusion, "Why would I laugh at you?"
Blue eyes slid over his, anger simmering in his eyes while the rest of his face remained stoic, "Just go home Eve," he said.
Eve could feel his own anger swell up inside him, "Fine."
