The whole day you acted rather strangely. When i asked, you forced a tight-lipped smile.
But the eyes glistened. I knew an inner battle was playing within.
You didn't let me go for a minute, keeping me so close as if i was a vapour, ready to evaporate at any time now.
Maybe i really was.
Placing my hand over your chest, you avoided meeting my gaze. I knew something was wrong but chose not to push it further.
To lift your mood up i asked you to play hide and seek with me. And you reluctantly agreed.
Soon giggles and laughter erupted in our lives.
I still did not understood anything.
The dawn came, followed by the star-filled night sky. The heaviness of the wind heaved a deep sigh. You faced me, with a sparkle of tear droplet slipping from your eye.
Heart racing, i wondered if this was it; the ending i didn't dare to dream.
Oh God, please.
"I never wanted to leave you," you started.
With anxiety-filled hopeful eyes, I stared back at you.
"But i've to." the world stopped as i swayed in my feet. The blow your words delivered couldn't be any less painful than a knife sting.
Running into your arms as you catched me we couldn't stop tears from falling.
Our foreheads joined but you couldn't be felt. Like a warm breeze, your untouchable presence caressed me.
"We don't fall in love. We rise in love. Just as i did." your words ached my heart, leaving a deep gash I didn't think i could erase ever.
Like an invisible casted spell, my body felt light. Never lessening the toska, as i slowly started to close my eyes. Overwhelming dizziness consumed my entire being. It was purely sheer will that i forced them open. Refusing to accept the inevitable.
"It's time, my love. I promise i'll come." I screamed but no words came out. As if paralyzed i collapsed onto the soft green ground, mourning for my loss.
"I'll wait for you like the sands wait for the sea." my soul talked fluently. And I felt my hands slip from you.
'I hope we met in the same world.'
I heard you whispered, before the darkness fully wrapped me in its cocoon.
