Take a ripe pumpkin, firm and round,
Wash it and drop it to the ground,
Clean the chunks, into pieces dice,
Now you could use a knife to slice. 

 Heat oil in a flat bottomed pot,
Add tempering spice, curry leaves;
Once the spice splutters and is hot,
Pour tamarind paste, gently please.

Lump of jaggery, salt to taste,
Then add the pieces of pumpkin,
Mix spoon of rice flour, make no haste,
Add water and gently stir in.

Cover with lid, allow to bubble,
Check it often and stir between,
Taste a lick, it is no trouble,
When it's done, add coriander green.

Soft boiled lentils mixed with white rice,
Then add a dollop of fresh ghee,
Pour the stew, flavoured sweet and spice ,
Each bite delicious, you'd agree.

Originally written for the Achievement Challenge #74 where we had to write a poem using the ingredients of a stew. A trifle confused, I wrote out how to make a stew. The poem for the prompt is # 92 - Soup for the Soul.
