I went for a walk under the stars,
Though late I was not the only one,
There were other people all about,
Though only few appeared to have fun.
I walked and I wondered about them,
The couple seemed to be in sorrow,
Why the young girl in angry whispers,
Argued with the man who did follow.
A school boy, heavy bag on his back,
Cycled with no joy, rushing to be home,
Everyone lost to worries and thoughts,
None enjoying under stars to roam.
