Cassie POV

The car lurched to the right and then jerked to its proper lane. It was driving at a very high speed. It kept increasing the speed as it was moving. Looking at the steering, a sapphire stoned ring was on the finger of the driver. The hand was shaking with fear and burning anger. But It was exactly how I felt at the moment. Why would I be feeling what the driver was feeling? I looked at the driver's mirror and saw the green eyes. It was me. Terrified, the car jerked at my loss of control. It spins a few time and everything goes black.

I jerked up and gasped. I could feel myself fidgeting. I was shaking with fear.

Every time I try to sleep, the same dream keeps coming up. I hated it. I hated the damn fact that I had to live like this.

I stood up to look at the mirror. I looked frustrated and my sweatshirt soaked with the cold treads of sweat dripping down my spine. I just sat down staring, not knowing what to do. My aunt who is a doctor happened to be on night shift.

Just then my stomach started making noises. I hadn't eaten since i came back. Only the slices of pizza that I took from Lozzi's cafė. I liked the boys- obviously except the asshole, Ken. They were all friendly, nice and had their own personalities.

Since they were friends with Kenton, I thought they would be like him.But they definitely aren't the hell like him. Instead they made me laugh mostly Calum, and they made me feel welcomed.

As i got to the kitchen, i decided to take some cereals. I brought out the Kellogs Frosties carton and a jug of milk from the cupboard. Took a bowl and a spoon, then went to the sitting room to watch a programme.

I sat down after preparing the cereals and changed the channel to E! Please who doesn't love E! channel? Cause i so fucking do. After watching the same channel for like an hour, i became so bored and frustrated. Couldn't sleep, no interesting show again, nobody to talk to and no fun thing to do.

Then i recalled how Ashley and Amanda continuously begged me to come over for the party till i decided to go home. I kept saying the NO word till i got tired of responding. Thinking i had escaped the torture of the girls, Neil started his on our way to his house. I waskept t like what the hell did i get myself into. I  accepted to drop him at his place, since his car was under repair which was a big mistake.

Come for the party Cassie.... Their voices kept echoing in my head. Finally i gave up being head strong and decided to go. I picked up my phone and sent a message to the group chat Ash added me to. Also I found out that the boys were also on the group chat. So at least one person would see my message.

Me: hey Ash, was just wondering if the party is still on.

Then i was replied to immediately.

Ash💕: Sure!! You wanna come over?

Calum😈: Please say yes🙏....

Neil😃: Cassie you're missing a lot! You need to come over.

Amanda😋: Its actually true Cassie. Its nice over here.

Me: Alright.... I will. Just that i can't drive at night. I really hate it. So..??

Ash💕: Oh...Calum dropped Amanda and I. So sorry.

Derek💀: You don't mind me coming over to your place to pick you?

I was utterly shocked. It's not like i don't like or whatever...Nope. I was just surprised that him of all people wanted to pick me up. You know that suspicious feeling you get when someone -pops out- and ask if you would like some ice cream. Especially knowing that it's the thing you love most.

I cleared my throat and before i could reply, my phone started buzzing of their chats.

Neil😃: Wait. Did Derek just offer to pick up Cassie? Or am i having problems with reading?😕

Calum😈: Yup, he did. Believe me.

Drew😜: That's nice of you dude. Need me to tag along?

Jeremy😒: Well, true. It's unlike Derek. When did you start becoming the free ride giver? Hmm....so suspicious...

Ash💕: Oh please. Can't a guy be nice to his new friend for once? You guys should give him a break. He's getting better.😏😏

Me: Thanks Derek. Would be happy if you could. So...in how many minutes time would you be here?

Derek💀: Just give me 30minutes. And Drew, you better keep holding the babe you've got there.

Me: Uhmm....my address is...

Derek💀: Don't worry. Neil will describe the route to me.

Neil😃: Hmmmm......

Me: Alright thanks.

I was kinda better, not that i didn't still have those suspicious lingering feelings but i felt at least he was giving it a try.

Turning off the TV, i rushed up the stairs to my bedroom to have a quick shower and changed from the sweatshirt to something simple and nice.

After showering, i started deliberating on what to wear. But finally concluded on wearing a sleeveless white gown with two black stripes across it, that was above my knee. The top part of gown was net which made my cleavages revealed a little.

Then i wore a black and gold chain, with black studs. I just applied mascara, powder and an almost blackish wine matte lipstick since it was night already. I wore a Gold bangle and my black sandals boot-like heels. I then packed my hair in a ponytail with a Gold ribbon.

Just at the right moment, the bell rang. I was ready. And i knew that it was Derek. I took a last look at myself at the mirror, smiled, picked up my black purse and phone, then left room.

I left a note telling my aunt, in case she came back before me, that i was at a friends place. Took my pair of the keys to the house, opened the door and smiled at Derek, whose face just looked expressionless and locked the door.

We got into his car and he drove off.
