CHAPTER TEN.
"She's a Fighter"
[   The Pandemonium  ]

Asher, Simon, Isabelle, Jace, and Alec all followed clary through the back alley on the way to the pandemonium. clary stopped as she touched her necklace gasping she muttered dot's name before shouting it and started running.

"clary!" jace shouted her name, she kept running. "clary stop!" he shouted again. "where are you going?" he asked clary as he stopped next to her the rest of the group following them.

"two men, circle members... the same ones who came to my house and took my mom. they have dot. they're gonna hunt her or kill her. we have to stop them!" clary shouted running into the pandemonium.

clary ran through the club before stopping in the center of one of the rooms. "no. she was just trying to help me." clary said turning to face the rest of the group her hand clasping there purple crystal around her neck. "now she's gone.

"clary, I'm sorry" simon apologized.

"you don't understand dot's like my big sister."  clary said.

"hey clary" asher turned to clary who looked at him with wattery eyes "we'll find her, I'm sure she's alright, she's a fighter" asher reassured her sending a small warm smile. clary nodded sending him a thankful smile. Isabelle watched the two friends interaction a smile on her face.

"it's not safe here. We have to go back to the institute right now." Alec said.

"So what not? Valentine had my mom and dot, and we're just gonna give up?" Clary asked.

"What about her memories?" Asher asked "they can't just be gone?"

"There is another option." Jace said.

"Don't even-"
"Absolutely not."
both lightwoods said at the same time.

"I'm not afraid of the silent brothers" have said.

"Who are the silent brothers?" Clary asked.

"They're shadowhunters with superior powers." Jace began.

"Who possess the ability to recover memories." isabelle added.

"A process that can also kill you, so there's that." alec finished.

"Your bedside manner is abysmal." Simon said to alec who turned away from him and towards Jace.

"We've broken at least eighteen clave rules and now you want to go to the city of bones? There's no way, I won't allow it." Alec said.

"This isn't our choice to make. This is clary's decision." Jace said.

"You can't ask her to do this. She doesn't know what she's facing. She's not prepared." isabelle added.

"If anyone can tell me another way to recover my memories and get the answers we need, I'm listening." Clary said looking around at everyone in the group no one saying anything. "That settles it."

"See? I told you she's one of us." Jace said.

They all began to walk back towards the entrance of the pandemonium. Isabelle linking her arm with ashers as they walked.
