I wish James was here...

Its raining. He always liked the rain..

Peter looked sad, but he told me not to worry, that he would take care of me.

We had breakfast with the maids. They were quieter than usual. One of them, Maria, hugged me tight and said she would make my favorite pancakes. It made me feel a little better.

I went to James's room today. It still smells like him, like old books and the wood from his stuffs. I found a picture of us from last summer and I held it close. I miss him so much.

Peter played with me outside again today. He's trying really hard to make me smile. We picked flowers for James and put them by his picture. Peter said James would like that.

I asked Peter where Mama went, but he just hugged me again and said she needed some time alone. I hope Mama comes back soon. I miss her too.

I wish you were here, James. You would know what to do. You always knew how to make things better...
