Chapter Five
As Taehyung quickened his pace, calling out her name again, he noticed Ishita's determined stride didn't falter. Concern gnawed at him as he closed the gap between them, his voice tinged with urgency.
"Ishi, wait!" His plea echoed through the bustling street, but she seemed lost in her thoughts, her expression unreadable. Finally reaching her side, Taehyung gently touched her arm, trying to catch her eye. "What's wrong? Why are you walking so fast?"
Ishita hesitated for a moment, her gaze flickering towards him before she sighed deeply. "I just need some time to myself, Taehyung." His brow furrowed with worry, Taehyung searched her face for any hint of what might be bothering her. "Did something happen? You can talk to me. And why are you so worked up because of Jungkook?"
She shook her head slightly, a conflicted look crossing her features. "It's complicated I don't know but that boy gets on my nerves " Taehyung quickly stifled his chuckle upon seeing Ishita's glare, realizing the seriousness of the situation. He cleared his throat, trying to maintain a supportive demeanor despite his initial reaction.
"Sorry, Ishi. I didn't mean to laugh," Taehyung said softly, his concern evident in his tone. "I just... I care about you, and seeing you like this worries me."
Ishita's expression softened slightly, understanding his intentions. "I know you do, Taehyung. And I appreciate it." Taehyung felt her brushing his sleeves which he knows she does when she is embarrassed to ask for something . He smiles a little "What is it?" She looks up with puppy eyes "Can we grab ice-cream !Because of some stupid boy why should I not eat ice-cream?"
Taehyung couldn't help but smile at Ishita's request, relieved to see a hint of her usual playful spirit returning. He nodded enthusiastically, glad for the opportunity to lighten the mood. "Of course, Ishi! Ice-cream sounds perfect right now," Taehyung replied, his voice brightening with genuine happiness. "Let's go, I know a great place nearby."
Ishita's eyes lit up with a grateful smile, and together they walked towards the ice-cream shop, their earlier tension melting away with each step. As they entered the shop and began choosing flavors, Taehyung couldn't resist teasing her gently.
"Promise me you won't let that 'stupid boy' ruin your love for ice-cream," he said with a playful wink, earning a playful shove from Ishita in return. "Don't worry, Tae. Ice-cream is forever," she replied, laughing softly as they continued to enjoy their time together, savoring each scoop and sharing stories that brought back their usual camaraderie.
As Ishita sat in the ice cream parlor, her spoon swirling through the creamy dessert, her gaze wandered to a nearby table where two children were deeply engrossed in their ice cream, holding hands with a pure joy that stirred memories of her own childhood. The sight sparked a warm smile as she recalled her closest friend, Bunny, and the mischievous adventures they shared.
"Bunny," she chuckled softly to herself, remembering his playful antics and their shared escapades. One memory in particular stood out vividly in her mind—the day Bunny had come up with a quirky idea.
"We should glue our hands together cherry," he had declared with a mischievous grin, convinced it was the perfect solution to never being apart. Ishita had giggled uncontrollably at his suggestion, both amused and touched by his earnest desire to stay connected.
"We don't need glue, Bunny," she had replied, her laughter echoing through their secret hideout in the park. "We'll always be together, no matter what."
The innocence of those childhood promises flooded Ishita's heart with warmth as she watched the children at the nearby table. She realized how deeply those memories had shaped her understanding of friendship and loyalty, instilling a sense of connection that had endured through the years.
Lost in her reverie, Ishita felt a wave of gratitude for the enduring friendships in her life, including her bond with Taehyung, who had been there for her in times both happy and challenging. The simple sight of children sharing ice cream had reminded her of the timeless joy of companionship and the precious moments that formed the tapestry of her life.
With a contented sigh, Ishita returned her focus to her own ice cream, savoring the sweetness and the memories that had surfaced. She knew that no matter where life took her, the bonds forged in childhood and beyond would always hold a special place in her heart.
Taehyung enters a convivence store and looked around to buy the packets of ramen, As Taehyung scanned the shelves of the convenience store, his focus narrowed on finding his favorite packets of ramen. Lost in thought, he maneuvered through the aisles, oblivious to his surroundings. Suddenly, without warning, he collided with someone who had just entered the store.
"Oops, sorry about that!" Taehyung exclaimed, startled as he turned to face the person he had bumped into. The person, a girl with long, dark hair and a surprised expression, recovered quickly. "No problem," she replied with a small smile, adjusting her bag. "I should probably watch where I'm going too."
Taehyung couldn't help but notice her warm demeanor and friendly eyes. "Are you okay?" he asked, concerned that he might have startled her. "Yeah, I'm fine," she reassured him, her smile widening. "Just a little unexpected, that's all."
Embarrassed yet amused by the situation, Taehyung chuckled softly. "I guess we both need to pay more attention." The girl nodded in agreement, her eyes crinkling at the corners as she laughed lightly. "Definitely."
After a moment of shared amusement, Taehyung gestured towards the aisle of ramen packets. "Actually, I was just looking for these. They're my favorite." "Ah, ramen enthusiast?" she teased playfully, stepping aside to give him space to browse.
"Guilty as charged," Taehyung replied with a grin, picking up a couple of packets. "Can't resist a quick and easy meal." "Same here," she admitted, reaching for a box of snacks nearby. "Especially on busy days like today."
They exchanged a few more friendly remarks as they both gathered their items. Taehyung found himself enjoying their brief interaction, appreciating her easygoing nature. "Well, I better let you get back to your ramen hunt," she said, nodding towards his hands filled with packets.
"Thanks," Taehyung replied, feeling a twinge of regret that their encounter was coming to an end so soon. As they parted ways with a polite nod and a smile, Taehyung couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity about the girl he had bumped into. He tucked his ramen under his arm and headed towards the checkout counter, his thoughts lingering on their unexpected meeting in the convenience store aisle.

As you set down the bags of ramen on the kitchen counter, your mind kept wandering back to the boy from the convenience store. He had this mysterious air about him, a kind of presence that lingered in my thoughts. Meanwhile, Lucas and Minji were engrossed in their show, laughing at something one of the characters did.
You tried to focus on joining their conversation about the latest episode, but snippets of the boy's image kept flashing in your mind. His earnest eyes and the way he smiled briefly as he left the store replayed in your thoughts.
"Hey, are you alright?" Minji's voice interrupted your reverie, bringing you back to the present moment. "Yeah, just thinking about something," You replied, shaking off the distraction with a smile. "What did I miss in the show?"
"Oh, nothing much," Minji replied with a knowing grin. "Just the usual drama and plot twists." Lucas nodded in agreement, adding, "You know how it goes. The usual suspects causing trouble again."
You chuckled, grateful for their easygoing demeanor that helped shift your focus away from the boy at the convenience store. You all settled into a comfortable evening, slurping ramen noodles and exchanging jokes about the characters on the screen.
But every now and then, amidst the laughter and banter, your thoughts would drift back to that chance encounter. Who was he? Why was he on your mind? The questions lingered, adding a subtle layer of curiosity to an otherwise ordinary night with friends.

After completing all her class work , Ishita stretched her body feeling relieved and satisfied. The weight of completing all her class work lifted off her shoulders as she stretched, enjoying the sensation of her muscles relaxing. Ishita glanced around her room, the tidy desk and completed assignments giving her a sense of accomplishment. She leaned back in her chair, taking a deep breath and reveling in the moment of relief after a productive day.
"I heard this apartment has swimming pool on the terrace "As Ishita mumbled to herself, a spark of curiosity ignited within her. She imagined the possibility of a serene swimming pool nestled on the terrace, a hidden oasis above the bustling city below. The thought of cooling off in the water after a long day's work enticed her, offering a glimpse of relaxation and escape from the daily routine.
Ishita's heart skipped a beat as she approached the rooftop terrace and caught sight of the swimming pool ahead. The gleaming water reflected the evening sky, inviting her to step closer and immerse herself in its cool embrace. Her excitement peaked, but as she prepared to shed her bathrobe, she noticed someone already in the pool. Curiosity mingled with hesitation as Ishita observed the figure from a distance.
The person's back was turned towards her, their silhouette rippling gently in the water. She hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to announce her presence or quietly retreat. Was this person a neighbor, enjoying a peaceful swim just like she had hoped to do? Or was it someone else? Ishita stood at the entrance of the terrace, her towel clutched in one hand, debating her next move. The allure of the pool was still strong, but the unexpected presence gave her pause. Should she wait for them to notice her, or should she announce herself?
Ishita's breath caught in her throat as the person turned around, revealing none other than Jungkook. Her surprise was matched only by the realization of his striking physique, accentuated by the water glistening off his toned form. For a moment, she was taken aback, unsure of how to react to this unexpected encounter.
"What the fuck?" She mumbled to herself . "YOU!!?" She heard him which made her roll her eyes. Ishita's eyes widened as Jungkook's gaze met hers, his expression unreadable. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the only sound being the gentle lapping of the water against the side of the pool.
"What are you doing here?" Ishita asked, trying to sound calm despite her racing heart. She hadn't expected to run into Jungkook, especially not in such an intimate setting. Jungkook's response was slow and deliberate, his voice low and smooth. "Just enjoying the pool," he said, his eyes never leaving hers.
Ishita felt a flutter in her chest as he spoke, her mind racing with thoughts of how she had stumbled upon him like this. What was he doing here? Was he alone? Did he live in this apartment building?
The questions swirled in her head as Jungkook began to swim closer to the side of the pool, his movements fluid and effortless. Ishita felt herself backing away, her eyes fixed on him as if mesmerized. As he climbed out of the pool, water droplets glistening on his skin, Ishita's breath caught in her throat. She had never seen him like this before - relaxed, almost... vulnerable. The sudden shift from rockstar persona to normal guy was jarring, and Ishita wasn't sure how to react.
"Uh, sorry to interrupt," she said, trying to sound casual despite the awkwardness. "I didn't know anyone else from school other than Eunwoo lived here." Jungkook's gaze narrowed slightly as he wrapped a towel around his waist. "I don't live here," he said, his tone neutral. "I just... stopped by for a swim."
Ishita raised an eyebrow. "Stopped by? At night?" Jungkook shrugged. "I like swimming at night. It's... peaceful." The silence that followed was heavy with unspoken words and unresolved tension. Ishita felt like she was drowning in the depths of his gaze, unsure of how to tread water.
Finally, Jungkook broke the silence. "So, are you going to join me?"
