This is a tale of fire and ice,

A dance of earth and wind;

Of dazzling light and watery eyes,

A tale that the heavens destined. 

When the frivolous gods above,

Wondered what the humans frail;

Could do in the name of love,

And how would they prevail?

The Gods amongst themselves bet,

The outcome of choice and chance;

Pawns were picked, the board was set,

For love and loss to take a stance.

A battle to be fought by mortals mere,

Betwixt fickle hope and dark despair.
