synopsis.

Penelope Beetle was rather popular at Hogwarts. her grades were spectacular, she was an excellent flyer, and somehow always got away with half of the spontaneous things she's done. if having Fred and George Weasley attending Hogwarts wasn't enough, why not in the female version of the twins to make things more interesting? it was impossible to ever get on her bad side or make her angry; unless you're Draco Malfoy — then that's just inevitable. Penelope was kind to anyone she met and left her mark anywhere she went, which made her quite a remarkable person.

the first time she met Harry Potter was during their first year on the train when he had the unlucky chance of running into Draco Malfoy. Penelope quickly put the sticky blonde haired boy in place and sent him on his way before she would be forced to give him a black eye. she would never use physical force on a person unless in desperate need — it was easy for Penelope to get under somebody's skin, but when it came to Harry Potter, she would send the world burning to protect him.

and that's why he couldn't love her the way he wanted to. Harry's life was already in shambles and so far each year at Hogwarts has progressively gotten worse. not to mention the absolute chaos that's always being caused at home — it's not like he could bring his best friend home for the holidays to meet the family. Penelope was too important to him — which is why he couldn't find it in him to put her in danger by loving her.
