Catra couldn't recall being as content as she was right now. Oh she'd been happier if she was being honest, and she'd certainly had more exciting experiences but those were different. Honestly while she'd had moments of happiness in her life & plenty of excitement, contentment was a relatively new experience for her but one she found she liked.

Laying on the alcove under the massive window in her & Adora's shared bedroom, feeling the warmth from Etheria's day time moons. Her head rested on Adora's shoulder as the blonde rubbed her hand up and down Catra's back. She didn't bother trying to suppress the purrs that eminated from her throat both because she'd come to find the sensation pleasant and because Adora loved it. Lazily opening her eyes, she was greeted with the sight of Melog resting their head on Adora's stomach letting out a purr of their own as she scratched behind their ear.

Catra knew some people used their birthday as an excuse to go crazy, to do the kind of wild, reckless things they'd never do normally but Catra's life had been full of such moments. Between being raised by Shadow Weaver & then fighting and ultimately leading the Horde through the later phase of the war against the Princesses before joining the planet-wide resistance against Prime she had never had a opportunity to just.....be before. And she had come to realize that after everything she was just so tired.

She was a little worried that she would be letting the others down when she explained this to the others but they had been completely understanding, saying that she could spend her birthday however she wanted. Glimmer had managed to get her to age to a "special birthday dinner" but otherwise told everyone to leave Catra alone. The others had agreed to stay away, sending their well wishes through video messages on their trackerpads.

She had plenty of time to hang out with her new friends & reconnect with her old ones but today she was content to just lay around with the woman she loved & the Space Cat that had been so helpful on her journey to better herself.

So that's what she did.
