fifty.one | apple's curse.
Pale lips, cold hands,
Heartbeat still and soundless;
She lay upon a bed of glass,
Within a quiet forest.
Tearful sobs from seven dwarves
Stirred something deep within her,
Alas the poison proved too strong
And forced her mind to stutter.
Metal shoes against soft earth,
A horse's whiney sounds,
The seconds passed with grace, for him
A fearless knight she found.
He knelt before her, filled with grief
Her soul had left its shell;
Then gently placed on hers his lips,
To bid his last farewell.
A stroke of luck, or pure true love,
Awoke her from her sleep;
The apple's curse now broken clean
Her life was hers to keep.

Recently I've been getting inspiration from Disney classics, the previous poem on Sleeping Beauty and this on Snow White. How do you find them? Should I do a few more Disney-themed poems? Let me know in the comments💙
