Convoluted emotions, barely spoken words 
Yet unbridled determination   
And passions to the fore 
Running away from the shadows
I'm so much more.   

On the ashes of dreams 
I believe in my beliefs 
Over the tears unsplashes 
A Phoenix rises within the lashes 
Burned to the core   
And I still soar. 

Broken wings in flight 
There's turbulence in full sight 
And I still strive with all my might 
Steeled through my soul
