I. Answer
Flesh;
So very gentle.
The scraps of metal
Roughly tore into my legs.
The rain continued to fall,
While the dead remained—
Wailing and whining.
Bouncing off my skin,
A quiet sizzle exited my skin;
As the water collided with my body.
Praying for an answer,
Met with silence.
Slow exhale left my lips,
Setting time in motion.
The rain rose from the ground
Back to the sly.
The bodies vanished
And it all reset.
Stayed stuck in place
Forever trapped in time.
I stay wishing
For an answer.
