38. Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time, we met.
It's a memory which I do
and do not regret.
Living in our own past
Our lives collided at last.
It was an icy December
As I can clearly remember.

Sometimes we talked.
Most of the times
we just walked.
Enjoying each other's
presence
Never knowing that one day
we would have to become
used to each other's absence.

Leaves fell
And now all we do
is dwell
In a fantasy
we made together
In memories
we both still treasure.
It was never meant to be,
we knew.
Yet it hurt like hell
when it was time for adieu.
