An ocean of sorrow,
Of pain,
Of longing,
Yet of beauty
He was.

An ocean so deep,
So vast,
So pure,
Yet so vulnerable to downpour
He was.

An ocean of love,
Of strength,
Of faith,
He became
When I came.

He was the ocean
In which I swam.
He was the ocean
Whose sunset and sunrise I saw.
Yet, he was the ocean
Whose shore I left.

I'm sorry,
I never meant this to happen.

An ocean of sorrow,
Of pain,
Of longing
And now heartbreak
You became again.
