ethan waited for his girlfriend, y/n to show up at their favorite restaurant. he ordered himself a water and for her, a tea, since it was her favorite. he began to look through his phone, feeling bored. she was already late and ethan had a flight to catch in five hours, he wasn't going to have his time wasted when he could be packing.

his phone dinged and he instantly checked it.

y/n: im sorry im late!
y/n: im literally right outside, give me two seconds!

he indeed see y/n rushing with her wild hair out of the car and into the restaurant. y/n smoothed out her dress before approaching ethan with a smile.

"hey babe, sorry im late. things got a little tight at work," she laughed.

ethan made notice of how y/n seemed distant. her hair was indeed a little messy, and her lipstick look freshly applied. her whole aura just seemed off to him, and he didn't know why.

"it's fine," he waved it off. "do you wanna order?"

she gulped her tea. "yes! uh, waiter?" she craned her neck to look behind her and that's when ethan saw a purple hickey on her neck that he did not give her. "yes, we'd like to order, if that's alright?"

the waiter came over with a notepad and a smile. "what can i get you, ma'am?"

"the chicken alfredo with the white sauce, with a side of salad. thank you," y/n spoke.

ethan just stared at her with hurt in his eyes. he couldn't believe what he was seeing. she made love to another man before she came on a date with ethan before he left for a movie shoot. he was repulsed at the sight of her.

"okay and for you, sir?"

"a new girlfriend," ethan threw his water on y/n and walked out of the restaurant with a gasping y/n and confused strangers who called him an a.sshole. but only if they knew that the real bad guy was the wet girl in booth five.
