"are you guys ready?" you yelled up the stairs of your shared home with ethan and grayson.

you all decided to become roommates because you all were great friends and got along well. it was almost christmas and they were going down to new jersey to visit with their family. you too were going to visit your family, but you decided to drive.

ethan came down the stairs with his luggage followed by grayson. he pushed back his blonde hair and smiled.

"im ready!" he walked out the door and ethan followed close behind. you noticed how off he seemed. maybe he was just nervous for the plane? but you couldn't be sure.

they put their luggage in the back of your car before they got in. you locked the door to the house and got in the drivers seat. grayson sat in the back and ethan sat besides you, plugging in the aux cord.

the whole ride was silent besides the music playing on the aux. the twins were quiet as they stared out the window.

"are you guys alright? you don't seem like yourselves," you spoke.

grayson looked to ethan and nodded. "yeah. just a little nervous. thats all."

ethan turned up the music which drowned out your response and you scrunched your eyebrows.

when you finally got to airport grayson hugged you from the backseat and wished you a merry christmas. "see you next year!" grayson joked as he exited the car.

ethan stayed still and turned to you slowly. "um, y/n. look, i wanna apologize about the other night. i wasn't thinking and i don't know what came over me."

the other night you and ethan were talking and joking around until he gave you this look. he leaned in and his lips met yours for the first time. you didn't realize what was happening and he instantly pulled away with a frown.

"no, don't. it's fine, eth. don't worry about it."

he stared at you for a little longer before a small smile reached his lips. "merry christmas, y/n."

ethan exited the car, leaving an envelope to fall out of his back pocket. he hadn't noticed as he and grayson walked into the airport. you took the envelope and saw the writing.

you nervously swallowed and proceeded to open the envelope.

dear y/n,

i couldn't leave without telling you how i feel about you. that night i kissed you was a total surprise and i don't regret it. i've been crushing on you since we first became friends and i've been falling for you day by day. im not sorry for what i did, im actually really happy about it.

anyway, i hope this letter somehow does something for me. i hope you understand.
