Sonu's POV

Next morning we went to office for submitting resignation letters. I saw Yuvi bhai's eyes became teary when Mahi coldly handed over the letter. But he didn't protest.

Dinesh sir, Chiku, Deepak and all other staffs wept for his resignation. Except Goti sir, he neither cried nor smirked... most probably he didn't expect that sudden decision.

"I'm sorry Sonu if I ever hurted you..." Yuvi bhai said with teary eyes.

"As an elder brother you have full right to scold me Yuvi bhai, there's no need to sorry"

He hugged me and cried like kids

"Tuje apne bhai jaisa pyar kiya tha re ... phir kab milenge ?"

"My new address is Mahi. Jab chaho saara gussa bhul ke aa jana bhai"

He wept for a few minutes. Then held my face and forcefully tried to smile;

"Jee le apni zindagi"

We shaked hand and went to Chiku who was almost climbed on Mahi and crying like a little baby, that time Mahi too wept out.

"Was it necessary Mahi bhai ?"

"Shh... don't worry, we will talk regularly" then Mahi noticed me .. "Arey Chiku, see... meet your bhabi too"

We laughed with wet eyes and tightly hugged Chiku. If I'll miss someone badly that person will be Chiku.

"Don't forget to send marriage invitation Chiku..."

We byed all of them. Yuvi bhai didn't stare at Mahi directly, Mahi also stayed cool. Deepak asked Mahi to go with him and work for him... but Mahi denied for now and promised him to take him later.

We reached at railway station and saw Ravi came to pick us. First he hugged Mahi then me.

"So, how are you bhabi ?"

"Badmaash! Tu bhi mazak kar raha hai mere se ?"

"Ab se to bhabi hi bolna padega hihihi..."

After some conversations we boarded the 'Lucknow–Ranchi express'. The train's wheels took speed and a new beginning began. I sat beside window and saw how one by one stations ran away.....

The natural sceneries were attracting me most. Somewhere human habitation, somewhere paddy field, somewhere broad barren field touching the horizon. Never I saw such pleasant environment.

Mahi showing me specific places and talking about them. With all that was a great safari of my life.

"When we will reach Mahi ?"

"Tomorrow morning... bohot der hai. Are you hungry?"

"No no... I'm so happy for getting long time to enjoy the scenario!"

Mahi just smiled and hugged my shoulder with one hand. Ravi was tired, he was taking rest on middle berth. Me kept enjoying the journey keeping my head on Mahi's shoulder❣️

My eyes opened with hustle and bustle of so many people. It's evening. Omg! I slept on Mahi's shoulder.

 The train stopped at a station, the dimming lights of ceiling are turned on, people are blabbering, hawkers selling goods, passengers gathering inside and outside of the train. 

"Have a tea ?" Mahi asked seeing me awake.

"Sure" I said rubbing my eyes. Then I saw Ravi's berth is empty.

"Ravi kahan hai ?"

"Gone to smoke" he replied while buying tea from a hawker.

"Ohh"

Ravi came back with snacks in paper packet that smells very yammy!!! 

Within five minutes the train restarted and ran with its own rhythm.

The noisy area ended and again vast emty field began.

It was not much visible in darkness, only electric pillars and big trees were visible in the moonlight. 

"We are about to cross U.P.– Jharkhand border Sonu" Mahi said.

I felt a little heartache. First I left my hometown and came to Lucknow for my job, now I'm leaving the entire Uttarpradesh...... not intentional , but my eyes got tears.

I looked outside of the window, it was complete darkness. Soon the outside became foggy and a cold wind made me shiver. Mahi held me in his warm embrace and placed a kiss on my forehead when lights turned off.

Next morning 5:30 am

After a long train journey we appeared at Ranchi. It was misty dawn, rising sun's first reddish ray made the nature enchanted. Few people were wandering at the platform, birds flying out for their daily functions.

I step down on Ranchi s ground for the first time. An aged man was standing in little distance. Mahi and Ravi went and touched his feet.

"Khush raho. Kaise ho Mahi beta ?"

"I'm fine papa. See who came with me..." Mahi pointed at me.

He's Mahi's papa, me too touched his feet.

"To tum hi ho Sonu!"

"You know me uncle ?"

"Of course, Mahi told us a lot about you. How you stood with him in every situation, how you managed his household, how you become a part of his life.... everything"

Uncle soothed my face, I felt shy with unnecessary admiration. But became happy also that uncle accepted me.

We started to walk through tiny road, domestic animals wandering here and there, labours going for work, rich people came out for morning walk. Some of Mahi's friends met and hugged him, Mahi introduced them to me. They were so joyful!

Mahi showed me his broad field where he'll cultivate. Everything seems like story. Meeting with Mahi, being his home mate, being his bestfriend and now.......

Don't know what is waiting next
