A world much like our own... the only exception is this that here, people have superhuman abilities.

People have had these abilities for years. They developed them from an unexplained shockwave 30 years ago. Each time these powers are passed down, they've become more safe. However, the first generation is chaotic and very destructive. Throughout the decades, there've been people with powers much like the first generation, though it's extremely rare.

The government has adapted their system to accommodate this newfound evolution of people. Though they've had breaches in their system from hackers who want the government to disband with the discovery of powers. Since then, they've updated their firewalls.

One night though, time stopped. The entire world was frozen, except for a couple spots like the Pentagon or the White House. Since then, the government had planned for a another of what they now called a 'Shift'. The plan was to get the most powerful humans they could find and get them to find out what's causing it, and if it comes to it, kill the person causing it...
