That evening, Jacob ended up staying at Janice's house overnight. Amacher hadn't seen Jacob leave Janice's home yet, and when she walked over to say 'Hi' to Janice, she heard laughing and talking inside, though couldn't make out any words. She knocked and Janice answered, still giggling and blushing. "Having a good time with Jacob I see." Amacher said. "How did you know Jacob was here?" Janice said. "I saw him go into your house around noon and didn't see him leave. Anyway, I was just stopping by to say 'Hi.' Have a good night!" Amacher said and left. Janice walked back over to Jacob and they continued talking. At around 11:00pm, Jacob realized how late it had gotten. "I think we should turn in for the night." he said. Janice yawned and agreed. They decided to build a fort like when they were kids, got dressed into some pajamas, and got some sleeping bags. They eventually fell asleep, holding eachother's hands. The next morning, a phone call woke Jacob up, and he noticed he and Janice were still holding hands and facing eachother. Blushing, he answered. "Hello?" Jacob said quietly. "Dude, where are you?! I've been knocking for an hour!" James spoke in his ear. "O-Oh, sorry about that, I-I'm at Janice's house still." Jacob said and yawned. "Oh, did you spend the night?" James asked. "Y-Yeah, Janice is still asleep and your call woke me up." Jacob said.  "Cool. Anyway, I was going to ask how your time was at Janice's house if you were here, so I'm on my way home right now. Talk to you later!" James said and hanged up. Jacob fell back asleep for a short while. Janice woke up and saw Jacob next to her, sleeping peacefully, his hand holding hers. She blushed and kissed him on the forehead. She never expected him to like her back before the sleepover a few days before, but she guessed it was obvious, the way he looked at her when they were talking to one another. She sighed and looked at her phone notifications, seeing 8 missed calls from Amacher and James. Janice got up, made breakfast, and got dressed, and when she went back to the fort, Jacob had woken up. "Hey." he said, yawning. "Oh, hey. Good morning. Breakfast?" she said. They talked while eating about things and a question passed through Jacob's thoughts. "Hey, how long have you liked me without telling me?" he asked Janice. "Um... about 3 years actually. That one time we all got ice cream together at that theme park, I realised it. What about you?"Janice answered, blushing lightly. "Around the same time, actually, that same summer." Jacob said, blushing. "Hmm... I wonder what would've happened if we told eachother sooner." Janice said. "Same here." Jacob replied. Then there was yet another knock at the door.
