Chapter 21 | February
--about a month later--
~Third Person POV~
Hikaru snorted as he and Kaoru made their way down to Music Room 3.
Kaoru looked at his brother. "What's so funny?" he asked.
Hikaru tried to contain his laughter as best as he could. He was failing. "N-Nothing...! It's nothing, really...!" He snorted again. Kaoru then noticed he was looking at something on his phone.
Kaoru looked over his twin's shoulder to see it. "What are you looking at???" he questioned.
Hikaru yanked his phone away. "Nothing." he answered a bit quickly.
Kaoru didn't buy it. He immediately snatched Hikaru's phone away and looked at it. He gasped slightly.
It was a picture of himself and Arabella, all huddled up in the sleeping bag from their sleepover on New Years Eve.
He also noticed he was looking at Hikaru's Instagram page.
Kaoru's eyes widened. "This... this is on Instagram?!" he shouted.
Hikaru laughed nervously. "Hehehe...! Surprise...! I've had this picture since New Years Eve. I saw you and Arabella sleeping together in the sleeping bag and I just couldn't resist! In fact, just last night, I finally worked up the nerve to post it on Instagram!" he said.
Kaoru's eyes flared angrily. "Tell me that's the ONLY thing on the internet you put it on...!"
Hikaru snorted again. "Of course...! I only put it on Instagram... and Twitter... and Facebook... and Tumblr..."
Kaoru glared. "WHAT?! Why would you do that?!" he demanded.
"Because! You and Arabella are adorable together! When, Kaoru, when will you freaking grow a pair and just ask her out and DATE HER already?! Everyone knows you like her! And everyone knows she likes you! Just give in already!" Hikaru said.
Kaoru huffed. "For the LAST FREAKING TIME: I do NOT, repeat, DO NOT have feelings for Arabella in ANY remote way, shape, or form!!! Get that through your thick head, Hikaru! PLEASE!"
Hikaru shook his head. "Tsk, tsk, tsk, Kaoru... This is just sad now... This is officially sad now... I didn't think you could bury yourself any deeper in denial, but apparently I was so wrong..." he mumbled.
"Yeah! You are wrong about something: I DO NOT LIKE ARABELLA! DO NOT! AT ALL! And, why would you POST SOMETHING like THAT on SOCIAL MEDIA?! Huh?! Why?!" Kaoru snapped.
"Don't blame me! You should be thanking me; Kaobella is now this school's number one ship. The picture of you and Arabella I posted on Twitter already has more than three hundred likes and re-tweets! And the comments are priceless! Apparently, everyone agrees with me that you and Arabella should be dating already and should've gotten together a LONG TIME AGO... Would you look at that! I'm totally RIGHT. Ha!" Hikaru said with a lighthearted laugh.
"Jeez... no wonder everyone was staring at me all funny when we arrived here earlier this morning...," Kaoru mumbled. "And, when did you even get the chance to take the stupid picture???"
Hikaru smiled. "Oh please, that was the easy part..."
Hikaru was the first one up. Everyone else was still fast asleep.
He and his friends were together for New Years and had celebrated it together. They also all slept over.
Hikaru suddenly shifted his position in his sleeping bag and saw something that immediately made him smirk.
Kaoru and Arabella were sleeping together, all cuddled up in Kaoru's sleeping bag. Arabella was sleeping against Kaoru's chest while he had his arms around her.
Hikaru giggled slightly before he took out his phone and crept over silently to them.
He stood over them carefully and took at least five pictures of them.
Hikaru giggled some more when he finished and looked over the pictures. This was great! Now Kaoru and Arabella have PROOF they're meant to be!
Hikaru smiled at the thought.
Unfortunately, before he had the chance to take anymore pictures, Kaoru and Arabella stirred and woke up. When they both realized how close they were to each other, they both immediately blushed and slowly inched away and out of the sleeping bag.
Hikaru sighed. Well, the moment was fun while it lasted.
Kaoru rolled his eyes at Hikaru. "I can't believe you! That's an invasion of privacy, ya' know!" he said angrily.
"I still don't see what your problem is! Everyone knows you like Arabella, everyone except you! You should be thanking me! I jump-started you and Arabella's relationship for you! Hello...! I don't hear a 'Thank you, Hikaru'...!" Hikaru said.
Kaoru just sighed before he realized they had arrived at Music Room 3. "Oh, look! We're here! Let's go in before Kyoya officially announces us late!" He pulled his brother inside the music room.
When they entered, Kyoya came up to them. "You're both a minute late." he stated.
Hikaru completely ignored him. "Everyone, everyone! Did you see it?!" he said excitedly.
Tamaki stomped up to him, glaring before he held up his phone. "If by 'it' you mean THIS," His phone displayed the picture of Arabella and Kaoru, sleeping together in the sleeping bag. The picture was labeled #KaobellaForLife. "This is an outrage!!! This better be photoshop, shady twin!!! Because if it's not, YOU'RE GONNA WISH IT WAS!!!"
Haruhi sighed. "Yeah, Hikaru, you need to learn to respect people's privacy. I'm pretty sure Kaoru and Arabella wouldn't want pictures of them posted on random social medias, especially without their knowing." she said.
Arabella approached them. "What about me and Kaoru on social media?" she asked before she took Tamaki's phone out of his hand.
Her eyes widened when she realized what she was looking at.
Arabella gently handed Tamaki's phone back. "Ahem, Hikaru? Tell me: why did you put a picture of Kaoru and me on Twitter?!"
Hikaru smiled nervously. "Also Facebook... and Instagram... and Tumblr..." he mumbled.
Arabella's jaw dropped. "Hikaru! Why?!" she shouted.
"Because you and Kaoru are meant to be and honestly it's really annoying that you two don't see that so I thought putting that picture up on social media would finally open you twos' eyes! That's why!" Hikaru said all at once. "Besides, look at all the likes it has!"
Arabella and Kaoru glared at Hikaru. "I don't care!" they said together.
"Yes! Hikaru, LEAVE MY LITTLE GIRL BE!!! SHE'S NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR PERVERTED BROTHER, FOR THE LAST TIME!!! And, even if she was, daddy will simply NOT allow it!!!" Tamaki shouted.
Kyoya suddenly stepped in. "As much as I would just love to watch you all bicker and fight like little girls, club hours begin in ten minutes. So, with all due respect, shut it. All of you." he said simply.
They all stared at him.
"Kyo-chan's right. Besides, don't we still have to change into our cos-play outifts?" Honey spoke up.
"Exactly." Mori agreed.
"What's our next cos-play?" Arabella asked.
Kyoya checked his notebook. "Love doctors." he said.
Haruhi scoffed. "Love doctors? Seriously? What the heck is that?"
"It's exactly what it sounds like: doctors of love." Kyoya said.
Arabella snorted. "Okay, but why love doctors???" she asked.
Kyoya sighed. "Am I the only one that checks their calendar regularly? Don't you know what tomarrow is?"
Everyone thought for a second.
Tamaki tapped his foot. "Father's Day? That means my little girls can get me something special!"
Kyoya sighed again. "No, Tamaki, it is not Father's Day, tomarrow."
Honey smiled. "My birthday?!" he said excitedly.
"No, Honey-senpai, your birthday was three months ago." Kyoya said.
"Time for Hikaru to get a life?" Kaoru guessed.
Hikaru glared. "Time for Kaoru to grow a pair already and ask a certain someone out?" he snapped.
"Neither." Kyoya said.
"Uh... White Day?" Haruhi guessed.
"No, but close," Kyoya said. "Tomarrow's Valentines Day. Obviously."
"Oh...!" everyone else said.
"Yes. 'Oh'. Tomarrow is Valentines Day and I've planned something special." Kyoya said.
"Really, what?" Hikaru and Kaoru asked.
"A Valentines Day party, which will be held in Music Room 3. I've also got another idea." Kyoya said.
"What's your other idea?" Arabella asked.
Kyoya smiled. "Kissing booth."
"Come again?" Haruhi said.
"A kissing booth, for our customers. Our customers get to have a kiss from their favorite host or hostess. And, don't worry, it's on the cheek ONLY." Kyoya said.
Haruhi looked more relieved. "Okay..." she said.
Tamaki looked a LOT more relieved. "Oh, thank goodness! Kyoya, you had me scared for a second there...! Daddy can't STAND the thought of someone taking advantage of his little girls!!! I will make sure NO ONE kisses them ANYWHERE but on the cheek!" he blabbed all at once.
"Don't worry, Tamaki, I think we'll survive." Arabella said.
"I'm not taking any chances." Tamaki huffed.
"Yeah, good for you, Tono! Way to lay down the law! I mean, if someone else were to kiss Arabella on the LIPS, Kaoru would get insanely jealous! Vice versa, as well. Only, Arabella would have a RAGING FIT." Hikaru said.
Both Arabella and Kaoru glared at Hikaru.
"Can I slap you?" Arabella asked Hikaru.
"I ask myself that question about him, EVERY DAY..." Kaoru said. Hikaru gasped and glared at them.
"You're just denying the truth! That's all!" he said.
"I swear it, Kaobella will he DESTROYED!!!" Tamaki shouted.
Kyoya checked his watch. "We have five minutes until club hours start. We need to get changed."
"Okay, we're going!" Hikaru said before he and Kaoru entered the dressing room.
"Your outfits should be inside," Kyoya called. "Now, everyone else, follow their lead; get dressed."
~~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh, Tamaki! You look absolutely amazing in your love doctor outfit! So handsome...!" one of Tamaki's customers swooned.
"Most definitely! I can't wait for the Valentines Day party you guys are throwing tomarrow! I bet you'll look even more handsome than you look now! If that's even possible!" said another.
Tamaki smiled. "Why, thank you, ladies! Only, although my beauty is amazing of itself, it's nothing compared to yours! You are more beautiful than the sunset on a spring day!" he said romantically.
All his customers sighed with hearts in their eyes. "How romantic...!" they all sighed.
Across the room, the twins were entertaining their customers.
Everything was going normally until one of their regulars spoke up. "Hikaru, I saw your Instagram post this morning!" she said.
Hikaru smiled as Kaoru's eyes widened.
"You did? Well, what do you think?" Hikaru asked.
"I loved it! I have to agree that your brother and Arabella would make a great couple!" the customer said.
Hikaru turned to Kaoru. "See? Everyone seems to think you and Arabella are perfect for each other. I rest my case." he said.
Kaoru rolled his eyes.
"I have to agree too. It's kind of obvious you two like each other. What's stopping you from being together?" another customer said.
Kaoru turned pink. "W-Well, nothing, but--"
Hikaru cut him off. "My brother here is a bit shy. He's afraid Arabella over there will turn him down!"
"I am NOT!" Kaoru protested.
Hikaru shushed him. "He's totally terrified." he whispered.
"I'm not!" Kaoru said.
Hikaru gave him a look. "Oh really? Okay then, why don't you go right over there and ask Arabella out. Right here. Right now. In front of everyone." he smirked.
Kaoru's eyes went wide before he coughed nervously. "So, girls, how excited are you for our Valentines Day party??? Huh??? It's gonna be epic!" He immediately changed the subject.
"Oh, we're extremely excited!" one said.
"We can't wait! It'll be so much fun!" another said.
"Absolutely!" said a third. "We especially can't wait for the kissing booth! What a genius idea!"
Hikaru smiled. "Of course! We wanted you ladies to get the full Host Club experience!" he said brightly. "Right, Kaoru?"
"Most definitely! And the full Host Club experience DOESN'T include certain people embarrassing other people in public while saying completely made up things." Kaoru said with a fake smile.
"Oh, you'll get yours, Kaoru, you'll get yours..." Hikaru said.
Over at Arabella's hosting table, Kyoya said, "Arabella, you have another visitor. This one is a unique one."
"Send 'em in." Arabella said.
Sakura Yamaguchi stepped up to Arabella's table.
Arabella blinked a few times to make sure she wasn't seeing things.
She wasn't.
Sakura sent Arabella a fake smile before she sat down.
"So, Arabella, I can see you foolishly ignored my previous warning, just like the stupid female dog you are." Sakura snapped.
Arabella sighed. "Do you have anything better to do than insult me? Because, if you don't, that's honestly sad and you need to get a life." she shot back.
"You're gonna wish you followed my warning, because now I'M DONE. And I'm pissed off. And when I get pissed off, BAD THINGS happen to people like you. And when bad things happen to people like you, they tend to be AWFUL or EMBARRASSING or just plain CRUEL. Maybe all three if I'm feeling like it. So, be prepared for something bad. Because it's coming." Sakura said.
"Whatever you say, Sakura. Nothing you say scares me the least bit. Nice try." Arabella said, not fazed at all.
Sakura smirked. "Oh, that's alright, you'll be sorry soon," she said. "Oh, and that lame kissing booth idea? So STUPID. I bet you're the one that came up with that incredibly awful idea, right?"
"Actually, it was me that came up with that awful idea."
Arabella and Sakura turned to see Kyoya and Tamaki. Kyoya was the one who had spoken.
Sakura immediately shot them a smile. "Kyoya...! Tamaki...! Did I say awful? I meant awesome!" she gushed.
Arabella rolled her eyes.
"We know what you meant to say. Now, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave. The Host Club doesn't tolerate bullying, especially when it's done to one of our friends!" Tamaki said.
"We're afraid we're going to have to eject you from the Host Club at this time. Come back next time, or never, whichever suits you." Kyoya said.
Sakura gasped before she stood up in disgust. "Ugh! Fine. I know what's really going on, though! Arabella had probably brainwashed you guys or something! It doesn't matter right now! I'll see you all at the Valentines Day party." And, without another word, Sakura held her head high and stomped out of Music Room 3.
"Well, that just happened..." Tamaki mumbled.
"It did, it most certainly did." Kyoya said.
Arabella smiled at them. "Thanks for sticking up for me, guys. I know Sakura's a real pain, you didn't have to do that."
"Anything for my little girl! No price is too big!" Tamaki beamed.
"What are friends for?" Kyoya replied.
Arabella smiled again. "Well, thanks anyway."
Well, at least this time she didn't have to face Sakura alone.
However, that didn't mean anything for the next time she'd face her.
