Karna and Duryodhan reached the palace and went straight to the weaponry (a place where weapons are placed).

Duryodhan lifted his mace(gadaa) and was a little frenzied. His mind is conflicting with him now, whether to go and fight or not, because his wife is in the palace, and if she sees him like that, he doesn't know what would happen. He wouldn't be able to face her disgust for him, because he has seen several times that whenever Pandavas, Bhanumati and he were in a same room, which rarely happens, and if there is a verbal jab between them, then Bhanumati is the peacemaker.

He is doing all this for her, he thought with a determination. His stance and eyes hardened.

Duryodhan- Let's go Mitra.

Karna- Let's go.

Suddenly Mamashree came there with his signature staggering style.
Karna and Duryodhan looked at each other.

Mamashree- Mere bacche!!! The coronation of Yudhisthira had done!

Karna and Duryodhan (in unison)- what!!!

Mamashree- Yes.

Karna knew what did it mean to Duryodhan. He put his hand on Duryodhan's shoulder.

Karna- Don't worry Mitra. Everything is not lost. Now that Yudhisthira is crowned, you have the right to challenge his authority. It's a duty of a King to protect his kingdom and throne and if Yudhisthira is able enough he would save it, which in our case, he wouldn't. Because I'll make you win.

Duryodhan had never admired Karna more. He is the rock solid thing in the whole universe, to whom he can rely and who would never betray him.

Duryodhan- Ofcourse, my Mitra.

Mamashree, as evil as he is, knew now is not the time to let Kauravas and Pandavas engaged in a fight.

Mamashree- Mere bacche! You don't have to use your sword when a needle can do all!

Karna had never liked Mamashree's behaviour. He knew that Mamashree is a little shrewd but couldn't say anything as Duryodhan loved him.

Karna- what do you mean Mamashree???

Mamashree- Angaraj! Mahamahim Bheeshma won't let anything happen to the Pandavas. He would commandeered the army against Duryodhan and you.

Karna- then so be it.

Mamashree- you're a little boy if you don't know the potential of Gangaputra. He couldn't be defeated by anyone. Not even his own Guru Parshurām could defeat him.

Karna jaw clenched not because Mamashree was praising Pitamah, but because he had dismissed him, just like that. Like a fly from milk.

Mamashree(to Duryodhan)- Don't worry. I have planned all mere bacche. I'll make you the King. By hook or by crook. (Evilly) Ask your Angaraj, if he'll stay beside you or not even if it is Dharma or Adharma???

Duryodhan looked for Karna.

Karna was in dilemma. He had never done anything in his life to do any Adharma deliberately. And he has to choose between Dharma and Duryodhan.

Karna(placating Duryodhan)- Mitra, anything that is done unrighteously is never going to bring fruits. If you have any doubts in my abilities, just say me. I'll make sure to fulfill my promise.

Mamashree- What promise??? Your unbreakable Vow of staying with Duryodhan in any  and all time??? See Mere bacche, this is what I'm talking about.

Mamashree was trying to put Karna on his treacherous and evil plan and pushing him in a No-win situation. If he would say no, then Duryodhan would think he betrayed him. And if he would say yes than Duryodhan's side is going to outweigh far immensely than Pandavas, which is exactly he wants to put Karna into.

Duryodhan (gravely)- Dharma has always been the biggest obstacle in my life, Mitra. Can you renounce your Dharma???

So this is it. Karna was put into a situation where he have to choose between Dharma or Duryodhan.

Karna- No one had ever benefitted by renouncing Dharma.

Mamashree- That's it Angraj. This is what your limit of friendship is...

Karna(interjected)- However (looking straight in Duryodhan's eye) my only Dharma is to be with my Mitra. And that's my new Dharma. I don't know any other Dharma than him.

Duryodhan hugged Karna tightly.

Duryodhan- Mamashree... This is the greatness of my Mitra. Don't try to put it otherwise.

Mamashree (slyly)- oh I wouldn't. But now is not the right time to fight. Surrender now, mere bacche.

Karna- No way!

Duryodhan- What are you saying Mamashree???

Mamashree- Yudhisthira is your elder, mere bacche.. you only have to let it look like, not to feel it genuinely... Just do what I'm saying...

Karna- No Mitra, we don't have to play dirty. We will fight against them. And I'm with you.

Mamashree saw Duryodhan inclining towards Karna.

Mamashree(softly but shrewdly)- Is it your desire to make Duryodhan win or is it your own desire to fight against Pandavas and show your superiority???

Duryodhan (his voice in a high tone)- Mamashree!!!! If this has been said by anyone else, he wouldn't be able to live any longer.

Mamashree plan started to backfire on him.

Mamashree- Mere bacche ... I only wanted to say, it's not the right time as there would be ladies present there.. your mother, Kunti, Dushala... And your wife too. Now it's upto you.

And speaking this nonsense he left.

Bhanumati was pacing here and there. No one knows where is he. Exasperating man. She doesn't know how he is able to make her loved and angry at the same time.

Where has he gone??? She is doing so much for him to be in peace but he is always like a switch,  on and off every time. What to do with him. She cares about him so much that she got scared of her feelings for him sometimes.

Suddenly she saw Urvi approaching towards her.

Urvi was equally concerned about them. For them fighting is like playing but not for her. She couldn't see the disaster made by fighting.

Urvi- Princess Bhanumati, Pranipaat!

Bhanumati rushed to her and hugged her. She was emotionally disbalanced right now.

Bhanumati- cut with the protocols, Urvi. I'm just Bhanu for you.

Seeing the concern on Bhanu's face, Urvi knew something is not good.

Urvi- Did anything happen???

Bhanu- No. But why???

Urvi holding Bhanumati's both hands on hers. And without any preamble said what she wanted to say.

Urvi- I don't know how to say it. But you are the only one who can make Prince Duryodhan see the situation in right way.

Bhanu- what are you saying, Urvi??? I don't understand.

Urvi- Bhanu... He came to Karna and they are going to fight against Pandavas right now. They only think about fighting and somewhere that evil and shrewd Mamashree is taking opportunity of the situation.

Bhanu- I also don't like that man. He had wrapped Duryodhan on his fingers.

Urvi- I have no idea that fighting now is a good thing or bad. And this guys, so wrong in their reasoning, tongue-tied me.

Both of them are in the same situation, loves their partners immensely, but their love becomes strength and weakness at the same time.

The goal of these two women is the same thing: to save their partners. And if the force of both of them are combined, may be they could possibly save them.

They heard a commotion in the great hall downstairs and rushed on the balcony to see what's happening down.
