I felt myself go numb. I couldn't hear my surroundings as his words repeated inside my head. With wide eyes, I looked at him. He was kneeling in front of me with a ring in hand. Oh God...

My heart beated so loudly that I knew it wanted to burst out of my chest any minute now. Did I just heard him right?...M-Marry him? This is insane. He kidnapped me from Sasuke on the day of our wedding, now he's proposing to me? What's happening to this story?! Haha. Lol.

I tried to avoid my gaze, but how can I if he was practically doing his infamous puppy eyes at me? He was begging and, I guess.. I want to start over again to. A new life, with this annoying and impatient redhead. I inwardly smiled. Not a bad idea..

"Yes."

"Sakura, please say yes... I love you so much that I couldn't accept no as an answer anymore."

I raised an eyebrow. What the heck is he talking about?

"Uh.. I said yes?"

"I love you, my cherry blossom! Don't reject me tonight, please, marry me.."

"Yes! Sasori, I said freakin' YES!! If you don't cut your drama out, I'm gonna decline your offer and marry the first male reader reading this sh*t!!"

And yeah, let's just say that he kinda maybe sorta...snapped out of it? ^__^

"Don't you dare!" He barked possesively and shook me on the shoulder before going all bipolar and hugged me 'til I couldn't breathe anymore. "S-Sasori! I...can't...b-breathe...you, m-moron!" He pulled away and gave me a Chesire cat-like smile and said, "I am not a moron. I am your soon-be-to husband, Saku-chan!"

Which, in turn made me smirked. He leaned in, and kissed me lightly. A sweet and memorable kiss I know I would treasure..

He then pulled away and gently wore the ring on my finger and---

BOOM!

"Aaaahhh!"

People shouted in panic when a large explosion broke the peaceful atmosphere being felt a while ago. I jerked my head and saw an explosion cloud not too far from where we were. All the villagers panicked and ran back to their houses, no doubt there will be a stampede here later on. "Sasori! Let's go check it out!" I called but when I turned to my side, he had this serious look on his face as if he was analyzing the situation at hand.

"No, Sakura. Stay here and don't be reckle---Hey!"

I ran towards the source of the explosion. I am a ninja for crying out loud! And so with swift movements, I passed by the crowd of people and made my way towards the dark forest up ahead. Who on earth would dare do an attack during a festival celebration? "Sakura!" I ignored his calls and speed up.

I could hardly see anything. Tall trees blocked my line of view as the heavy tension rised with every step I take closer. Soon enough, I saw a light up ahead and a dark figure standing there.

"A rogue.."

I said to no one in particular and ran faster.

When I reached the spot, I saw...nothing.

Wait, shouldn't I see a crater here or even the rogue? I am a hundred percent sure this is where the explosion came from...

I stopped in my tracks and scanned my surroundings. Seriously, did I miscalculated things? I took in a deep breathe and focused my chakra when I suddenly felt a presense behind me. Oh no.. But instead of moving fast to run away or attack, I only stood there and calmed myself down. "Who are you?" I asked the man.

I could hear his footsteps from behind me.

"Don't tell me you already forgot about me princess."

My eyes shot wide open and froze on the spot. That was why his chakra felt familiar. His voice, still deep and rich that immediately sent shivers down my spine. I slowly turned around and met a pair of bleeding red Sharingan eyes.

"Sasuke..."

That was the last thing I said before darkness engulfed me.

Sasori's POV

Damn it! Why can't she just listen to me just for once?!

"Excuse me!"

I excused myself from the panicking villagers that were afraid the village is being under attack. I rapidly made it out of the crowd and saw Sakura's pink hair go inside the dark forest, towards the origin of explosion. "Sakura!" I called but, for the love of Kami, she acted like she didn't hear me!

"Damn her!"

I muttered and ran after her. Her figure soon vanished in my sight as the dense vegetation kept me from seeing her. "Sakura!" I called again, in hopes that she will at least, turn to look. But no luck.

I then saw a white light up ahead and ran faster than my legs can allow me to.

I have a bad feeling about this.

The moment I reached the area, I saw nothing but a clear grassy open located at the center of this forest. I looked around and tried to feel her chakra signature, but it was no use. "Sakura!" No response.

I was about to ran away and search for her when something that sparkled caught my attention. I averted my gaze downwards and gritted my teeth when I saw her wristwatch I gave her more than a year ago. I picked it up, and only then did I noticed a small note underneath it.

With shaking hands, I opened it and read its content..

I got her. You know where to go.
