It was a fair and calm Thursday evening.

      All the kunoichis in Konohagakure, just came back from their missions.

Which means..

      "Ugh! Forehead, move your sleeping mat, will ya?!" A blonde haired female yelled at the lying pinkette. "Tsk. Oh come on, Ino! Go lay yours by the window." Sakura countered. The purple haired heiress and the brunette just shook their heads at their friends' childish behaviour.

"Ino, don't be too stubborn. It's just a sleeping position."

"T-TenTen is r-right, I-Ino-chan."

      The four of them were now at the Hyuuga mansion. Earlier this afternoon, Ino suggested them to have a "Girl's sleepover" since the boys were all sent on missions.

"Argh. Fine." Ino scowled and place her sleeping mat near the window. Sakura mentally snickered.

'Aha! Take that Piggy-chan!'

'What? Serves her right for attempting to steal my place near the fireplace, ya know!'

You are such an idiot.

'Well, thank you. But I'm you, remember?'

'Bleh. But we're not finish Saku-chan!'

Ugh. For the love of-

      "S-Sakura-chan?" Sakura inwardly slapped herself for spacing out. She turned to the voice, "Yeah? What is it Hinata?" Said girl just blushed and looked away. "N-Nothing."

      Ino heard their conversation and teased, "Hm.. is this about Naruto, again?" TenTen laughed as Hinata grew redder. "N-No!"

"Don't deny it Hinata. So, what is it?" She persued.

Hinata immediately shook her head in denial. "B-But it's nothing! R-Really!"

"Hinata..."

After that, said girl sighed. "F-Fine. I j-just want t-to ask if.. i-if Naruto-kun i-is.."

"Go on." They said in perfect unison and leaned closer.

"..c-cheating on me."

"WHAT?!?!?!!"

      Hinata couldn't help but giggle at her friends' reaction. After recovering, Sakura turned to her and seriously asked, "And what the hell makes you think that, Hinata?"

The heiress thought for a moment before answering the pinkette,

"B-Because, N-Naruto-kun seems a l-little ..distant to me l-lately."

       The other girls gasp except for a certain blonde who fumed in anger. "The nerve of that ramen-freak!" She then grabbed Hinata by the shoulders and shook her quite violently. "Hinata, tell us more! Once I find out he's cheating on you, he'll be nothing more than dead meat! I'm telling ya!"

     "I-Ino-chan! Don't you t-think that's a l-little too much?" The poor girl tried to reason out as the other two tried to calm the blonde.

      "Nonsense Hinata! That bastard literally needs some beating if ever you're right about him doing so!" Sakura held onto her bestfriend and sighed. "Ino, we don't even know if it's true yet."

Truthfully, Sakura knows Naruto isn't doing that to Hinata..

'FLASHBACK'

     One morning, Team Seven were going on a mission in Amagakure. They were meeting at the gates..

After a whole one hour of waiting,

      "Oi! Sakura-chan! Teme! Sensei!!" Naruto called out as he ran towards them. But when he did though,

BONK!

      "Ow! Hey, what's that for?!" He cried as the kyuubi container held his head in pain from Sakura's punch.

"BAKA! What took you so long?! We waited an hour for you!! Heck, even Kakashi-sensei is two minutes earlier than you!!!"

      Kakashi shook his head and smiled while sarcastically adding, "Why, thank you so much for that wonderful compliment Sakura! I feel so loved!"

      Sakura was about to slap him again for laughing histerically at what their sensei said when she suddenly noticed the rather large bags under his eyes.

Lack of sleep, again?

"Hey Naruto,"

"Hm?" He replied as they started to walk out the East gates of Konohagakure.

"Are you getting lack of sleep again?"

"Uh.. yeah."

      She sighed after his reply. "Naruto, why won't you just tell me what you're preparing for her? Better yet, maybe I could help you finish it.. You're really torturing yourself from the lack of sleep you're getting in finishing your 'surprise' for her, you know." She scolded.

       For the last two weeks, Sakura noticed how Naruto would stay up all night in his apartment. He would do so, even until 1:30 AM! He was just too busy finishing his 'surprise gift' for Hinata, he haven't even noticed yet how distant he became to the said girl. It was eating his time for her.

"Naruto.."

"Nah. I can handle it! What's the use of giving her my gift, when I know that I didn't put all my efforts in it! It'll be done soon, and she's gonna love it. Dattebayo!"

       Sakura rolled her eyes at her blonde best friend. A tad bit jealous of his suicidous sacrifice for his beloved girlfriend. Now, she kinda wish Sasuke hadn't been on yet, ANOTHER, S-ranked mission in Otogakure.

"Oh! And Sakura-chan?"

"Yeah?"

"Please don't tell her. Okay?"

"Ugh. Fine.."

'END OF FLASHBACK'

Oh Naruto..

      "Hinata-chan, you know.. you shouldn't skip to conclusions. I'm sure he has a pretty good reason for not having time for you." She reassured and layed on her sleeping mat.

"I-I hope so S-Sakura-chan.."

What a cute couple.

"Oh, I know so."
