CHAPTER 1:- I am so excited and the rocket crashes...
Every year the Tiger Beat Magazine allows a journalist to go to a famous celebrity's house and stay with them for one week. The journalist should understand the celebrity's lifestyle and ask questions about the unkown and use the advantage of spreading the new-found information to the world. This year the celebrity group chosen is a band called 'The Dark Side'.
KRISTEN'S POV
God, I'm so lucky to be a journalist now. I mean could anybody be as lucky as me? I'm getting a lucky chance to write an article on the 'The Dark Side', my favourite band which means I get to stay with them for a week. I was lucky to get such an opportunity cause a thousand girls would die for a chance like this. I felt like I won a lottery ticket. Well, technically it was more like a lottery. And I was just lucky to win it. Or maybe it was just fate.
I begin to pack my bag. Obviously I needed a few things. It's not like they are going to provide me with everything I need. "Please don't go." My mother and my adopted sister, Sara practically begged as they came into my room to bid me goodbye. I could not live without them as I was pretty attached to my only remaining family. But it was just one week. One week away only to get my dream come true. "Don't worry, my dahlings. We all are gonna be fine.... Plus I'll be back in a week." I say as I hug them and soon leave in a special car which stood waiting for me. God, I can't wait to get this show started...
Reaching the Dark side premises.
While travelling, I was thinking about how my week is going to be with my favourite celebrities. And finally I get to prove my point to Sara that The Dark side is anyway better than Bruno Mars. Oh man, I'm so gonna win. And she is so gonna do the dare.
If I won, she would have to drench herself in ice water and go yelling around in the neighbourhood "I love The Dark Side and I'm married to them. Don't touch my husbands!" But if I lost, I was dared to wear a Bruno Mars shirt and nothing below and do pole dancing and fangirl about it at the same time. The good part of it is we get to take a video for good old times sake.
When the car stops in front of the premises, I look out of the window to get a glance of the mansion. Huge and magnificent! Just the way I had dreamed it to be. I stepped out of the car. God, I can't believe I'm gonna live here for a week. I so want to fangirl at the moment.
The watchman shouts "Hey lady, what are you doing? What do you want?" "I am the journalist who is supposed to stay here for a week." I say softly, hoping he would be informed already. "Oh yeah, they are expecting you. Kristen Stone, right?" I nod. He let me in. I walked in slowly. I really felt like I was in heaven. The flowers around looked exotic and the house was beautiful. A dream I was about to enter. I was about to knock but then I thought what if they are already expecting me, so what's the point? So I entered. And I felt like my eyes opened for the first time.
The hall that I was looking at was humongously huge and... white but it still gave a sense of magnificence and beauty. A beautifully polished room with - "Zara? What are you doing in here?" A raspy voice asked. I turned slowly as I froze. It was Zac's voice. It had to be his. I could recognise that voice anywhere.
God, he looks hot in real life. Actually the truth is I never got to see the band in reality, only on the TV. OMG, he looks so sexy. Kristen, snap out of it. Plus- Wait! Did he just call me Zara? Surprising! Does he know? Did my Mom betray me? Or it could also be some confusion?
"Ummm... I am sorry but I am the journalist." saying it with a little uncertainty, hoping that he would recognize me. "Oh yeah, Kristy Stones, right? I'm sorry. You just looked a little lot like my little best friend." he says with a small smile. "It's Kristen Stone and yup that's me." I say with a laugh and maybe ended with smile. I can't believe it I look like one of his friends. Not only friend. Best friend! Cool!
"Hey guys, look some one's here ." he shouts. So they were all expecting me, huh?
Immediately four more boys come out of their hiding. "Finally, I am so hungry." said one of them, rubbing his palms. Dylan, I suspect by the voice. And that actually surprised me. Hungry? Am I a snack or what?
"Dylan, it's not the pizza delivery boy." Zac says as his tone suspects to be a little angry after an immediate sigh ."Guys, this is Kristen, the journalist who is supposed to stay with us and Kristen, this is Ash..." he introduces pointing to the guy in adorable curls. "Walt..." to the guy who had this mischievous grin and hair pushed back. "Dylan..." To the cute Irish blonde who thought I was a tasty snack. "Chris..." To the incredibly cute brunette gentleman. "And I'm Zac." He says with a smile, introducing himself at last.
God, they are so sexy and I was nothing compared in front of them. I feel like melting right now. They are that hot...
Each of them wave with an excited smile when they were introduced. "Like I didn't know." I mutter a little loudly before I could stop myself. Ok, that sounded pretty rude so I tried to cover it up. "I mean, you guys are freaking famous. Who wouldn't know you guys?" "But something had to be done for formalities sake." and he gives that wink and an adorable smirk. OMG!!! OK I am not going to say anything. I'm definitely not gonna say anything. But that is so.... Aah!!!!!!
Ash walks in front. "Hey, we know you are tired and you need to rest. Come I'll show your room. " He leads the way. Instead of following, the room began to turn around and for once it seemed like I was the only stationary thing around. Black spots began to dance in front of my eyes and the next moment I knew, I was on the floor, in some body's arms. The last thing I saw before I blacked out was a pair of brown eyes gleaming by the rays of the blazing sun.
ZAC'S POV
She was fine one moment and the next, she is on the floor. Two possibilities- either she is our die hard fan and has fainted because she got a chance to stay here or she fainted because of exhaustion even though the second sounds more reasonable.
"Chris, please take her to her room while we hide all the evidences." I say. Chris sighs with a nod and picks her up in a bridal style, going up to her decided room.
I turned to the rest of the lads. "Why did you guys get her here?" I demanded to know the explaination. But all of them looked at me like they couldn't comprehend my words. "Why did you guys choose her when I specifically told you not to?" I asked again, only this time softer. "Well, we were curious." Ash muttered and he knew I clearly heard his excuse. "Don't you see? We could- Ah, forget it! The damage is already done." I say with a sigh.
"Anyways we need to be extra careful. Cause I heard she is pretty smart..." "Heard?" All of them with a questioning look. I roll my eyes with a groan. "Ok! Know." I admitted. "And Dylan, please don't say that again. It really bring a question to the mind that whether you are a cannibal or not." I say irritated, a quick change in the topic. I mean how many times am I supposed to tell him this and there comes the same answer, rolling out of his tongue. "I really am hungry." He tries to defend himself. I sigh, mentally hitting my palm on my forehead."Go, there is some in the fridge and don't finish the stock."
KRISTEN'S POV
I open my eyes and my hand goes to head. Arrgh! That hurt. I must have hurt my head pretty hard. Ouch!
I look around to see any thing familiar. I was sleeping in this spacious bedroom which had this amazing mixture of red and dull cream. Nice choice. Though I wonder whose bed room this is?
"Hey, I see you're finally awake." I freaked. I didn't know someone was already in this room. I see Ash leaning on the door with a tray. He gives his known naughty smile. His green eyes quite prominent like emeralds in the ocean. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you there." He apologizes before walking up to me. He puts the tray at the side and sits on the bed, beside my legs. "How are you feeling anyways?" He asks with a tenderly smile. "Fine I guess." I say frankly as I try to sit up.
"Here, I made your favourite soup." He hand the bowl of tomato soup to me. For a while, I look suspiciously into it. "What's wrong?" He asks with a face filled with confusion. "Does it have a lot of butter in it? " I ask, still pretending to be suspicious. "Well a lot!" "Ah then nothing." I give my sweet smile. I take in the aroma and soon gulped it down. It felt nice as the hot liquid soothed my dry throat of exhaustion. "Ash, I didn't know you are such an amazing chef." His eyes lit up. "You liked it? You really really liked it?" He asked like a kid who has done his first big achievement. I nod with a smile. "It's amazing. You really need to teach me how to cook cause when it comes to cooking, I'm a disgrace." I say with a tiny smile.
I remember the last time I tried to cook, I mixed everything up and I ended up making a chocolate spaghetti cake sandwich, in short a mixture of everything. It was the worst but the funniest memory of my depressed life. Coz I actually made it look like a hurricane had come and invaded the kitchen...
Ash chuckled. I looked at him. What was he laughing at? "Ummm... You really need your rest. Come down at eight. I will leave you for now." I nod as he walks out with the tray and the empty bowl on it. I was fresh. Didn't think I needed more sleep. So I decided to go for a bath. I tied my hair into a messy bun and stepped into the shower. The water felt warm against my cool skin. It felt nice... and I need soap. I looked around and found a strawberry smelling soap. God, I love this smell. I take a long, nice bath and wore a red halter top with black denim shorts and I turn the messy bun into a neat side plait.
OK,at least now I look presentable.
ZAC'S POV
"Ash!" I shout. "Yes!" he shouts back as he enters the living room. "We have hidden all clues. How is Zara?" I ask with concern. That mattered more than anything else. "The name is Kristen. You have got to remember that!" Chris yelled from the other room. "Ya, ya, fine! Kristen... How is she?" I ask, roll my eyes and then turn back to Ash.
"She is fine." he says, busy doing his work. "And the soup?" was again asked curiously by me. "She loved it!" He smiled. Well, it was a good thing cause none of us really get to appreciate the food he makes. "It's quite amazing how you still remember things about her." Chris compliments as he appears from the other room. "Well then you are definitely forgetting the reason for our existence." I tell him before turning my attention to Ash.
"Anything we should know about her?" "Hmm... She has very cute and funny memories about her life?" I change the topic. "She will be down in any minute. Dylan, I'm warning you, better not say that again... Do you understand me?" And he nods innocently with all the cheese stuffed in his mouth...
