Rory, Matt, Elena, Stefan and Jeremy were at the police station getting questioned about Vicki's disappearance
"Where did Vicki say she was going?" Liz asked
"She didn't." Jeremy said
"Did she tell her brother where she was going?" She asked.

"No she didn't say anything to me. She told Jeremy to tell me that she was leaving town." She looked up at Matt
"Is there anyone I can talk to that may know what happened to her prior to her leaving town?" She asked
"Stefan Salvatore may know. He came by the house to see her but she wouldn't talk to him." He said.

"What was he doing there?" Liz asked
"I was trying to help her, I knew that Rory was worried about her cousin, he was dating Vicki and she had a drug problems, so I tried to help." Stefan said
"So you got involved because Rory asked you to?" She asked
"I asked Stefan to help I was worried and so was Elena." Rory said.

"I had spoken to Rory about how I was feeling and she then asked Stefan to help because if Vicki got help so could my brother."
"What was her behaviour like those last few days before she left?" Liz asked
"Up and down, very sketchy, like she was coming down from some major partying." Matt said
"Any signs of aggression or violence?" She asked.

"None that I remember." Jeremy said.

"No." Stefan responded
"No." Elena responded
"No." Rory responded.

"So you believe Vicki really has left town?" She asked.

"Yes."
"Yes."
"Yes."
"Yes."

"I'll miss her but....I think it's for the best." Jeremy said.

Rory and her family walked out the station to see Stefan waiting
"Hi." She hugged him when they both turned to see Matt
"I was trying to help her Matt. That's all." Stefan said and he just rolled his eyes and left.

"I'll meet you guys at the car." Rory said
"Ok."Jeremy said
"You okay?" Stefan asked.

"I don't think the Sheriff suspected anything. Jeremy had no memory at all. All he knew was what Damon made him know." Rory sighed
"Thank you." He said
"Well, thank you for helping me. I know this could possibly have a target on your back." She said.

"It's worth it for you." He said and kissed her
"I gotta go." She said
"Hey, I want you to come over this afternoon. My friend Lexi is practically dying to meet you." He said and she nodded.

"My wallow is legitimate. I was dumped." Jenna said on the couch
"I still can't believe that scumbag dumped you." Rory walked into the kitchen for a glass of water
"Yeah. Well Logan's a jerk." Elena said
"You didn't get a brush-off e-mail say: 'I'm leaving town. See ya.'" Jenna said.

"Wanna keep it down over there?" Jeremy said at the table
"Why? What are you doing?" Jenna asked
"Homework." He said and Rory walked up behind him.

"He's telling the truth." She said in disbelief
"Since when do you do homework?" Elena asked
"I gotta finish this. I'm way behind and I have a quiz tomorrow so..." He said.

"What do you think? Alien?" Elena asked
"Some sort of replicant." Jenna said
"Alternate reality." Rory suggested.

"He can hear you."

"She's right here." Rory said as her and Bonnie entered Elena's room to see Elena laying down in her bed
"You up?" Rory asked
"No," Elena said and Bonnie walked over and tried to pull the covers off Elena's head, "no, no!"

"Why haven't you called me back?" Bonnie asked
"I'm sorry."
"Are you gonna stay in there forever?" Rory asked
"Yep."

"Move over. I'm officially worried. What's going on?" Bonnie asked as her and Rory got on the bed
"I'm tired of thinking...of talking I..."
"Can I get a one-line version so I can at least pretend to be helpful?" Bonnie suggested.

"I feel like I can't do anything right." She admitted
"I'm so sorry. Are you okay? Right stupid question. I know I've been kind of MIA when you need me the most. I suck." Bonnie said
"You wanna make it up to me. Get my mind off of it." She said.

"Just remember you asked for it." Bonnie said and closed the window then grabbed one of Elena's pillows. She ripped it and emptied it making all of the feathers go on the bed
"Hey!"
"Be patient." Bonnie said.

"Okay."
"I need to swear you to secrecy." Bonnie said
"It's kind of a bad week for that kind of stuff." Elena mumbled.

"Swear, 'cause I'm not supposed to be showing you this." Bonnie said
"Okay, I swear." Elena said
"Swear." Rory smiled.

"There's no windows open, right?" Bonnie said
"Right."
"There's no fan. No air conditioning." She said
"None. What are you doing?" Elena asked.

"Grams just showed me this. You're gonna love it. You ready?" She asked and then suddenly a feather levitates
"Bonnie what's going on?" Elena asked in shock and then suddenly Bonnie levitates several more. Elena and Rory watch in amazement and shock.

"It's true Elena. Everything my Grams told me. It's impossible and it's true. I'm a witch." She said.
"I knew it." Rory smiled
"I believe you."

The girls sat on the bed with smiles on their faces
"It's Weird huh? After all This times joking about being psychic. I really am a witch. You don't think I'm a freak now, do you?" Bonnie played with a feather.

"No of course not. Bonnie I just...don't understand though. If your Grams asked you to keep all this a secret, why did you tell me?" Elena asked
"You're my best friends. I can't keep secrets from either of you." Bonnie said and Rory hugged her.

"Right, I gotta go."
"Where?" Elena asked
"To see Stefan, it's his birthday." She said.

"What are you giving him? Your virginity?" Bonnie asked and her and Elena laugh
"Ha ha. Laugh it up. No it's not. That's going to you." Rory kissed the corner of her mouth and Elena and her gasp.

"Look who's laughing now."

Rory knocks on the door of the Salvatore Boarding House
"It's open! Come on in." She heard a girl shout and Rory walked in to see a girl in a towel
"Omg, you must be Lexi, I'm Rory." She said.

"Yes I am. I have heard so much about you." Lexi smiled at the girl,
"Where's Stefan?" Rory asked
"He's in the shower. Do you want to wait?" Lexi asked.

"Yeah, I'll go find Damon."
"Damon?" Lexi asked
"Yep. He's helping me with something." She said and went to his room.

"Damon?" She called out and stepped into the room
"Yes?" She turned around to see him
"Did you get it?" She asked.

"Yes." He said and handed her a box with wrapping paper on it
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." She hugged him and gave him a kiss on the cheek
"I gotta give this to him." She said and ran out the room.

"Stefan! Hurry up!" She groaned
"What?" He asked walking out with a towel on
"Oh." Rory turned away with her face heating up.

"Let me quickly- um-"
"What is all the commotion?" Lexi walked in and then looked at the situation
"Oh." She smirked at the two.

"Let's go sweetie. Wouldn't want to see his dick just yet." She said grabbing her arm and covering her eyes
"Thanks. I know the situation is weird."
"It's not I mean you both just started dating I'm sure it must be weird." Lexi nodded and then noticed Rory's silence.

"You both are dating right?" She asked
"Nothing has been made official. I mean we've kissed a couple of times but no girlfriend/boyfriend status yet." Rory said and Lexi looked at her in shock
"One moment." She said and marched back into Stefan's room.

"You dumb bitch." Lexi threw a pillow at his head
"What?"
"You haven't asked her to be your girlfriend!" She shouted.

"I mean I didn't think I had to?" He asked and she groaned
"You are 162 years old! How are you this naive?!" She put her head in her hand
"Well I can't do it right this second." He said.

"Why not?" Lexi put her hands on her hips
"Because she can hear you." He said
"No she can't."

"She doesn't have to be a vampire to hear your voice." He said and she scoffed
"I'm also saying this on the fact that her and Damon seem to be friends and we all know what happened the last time you and Damon got along with the same girl." She held up the picture of Katherine.

"Trust me. Nothing like that will ever happen again." Stefan said.

Stefan and Lexi came out of the room to see Rory sitting there with the box
"I have a surprise." Rory smiled
"Okay?" He said.

"One moment." She said and turned away from them
"Damon! Here! Now!" She shouted and Damon appeared right beside her
"Yes?" He asked.

"I was just about to give Stefan the surprise." She gave him a look
"Oh yes. Carry on." He said and smiled at Stefan
"Okay now I am worried." He said.

"Oh don't be. It's fine." Rory brushed off
"Drum roll please." She said and Damon patted her head
"Happy Birthday Bambi Killer!" She shouted and Lexi laughed.

She held out a box wrapped in Bambi Wrapping Paper, Stefan smiled as he placed it on the table and unwrapped it, it was multiple Bon Jovi Limited Edition Vinyls with some signed posters and pictures.

"Where did you get all of this?" He asked
"I know a guy." She smiled and then picked off her black nail polish
"Do you like it?" She asked.

Stefan looked up at her with a smile on his face, he put the stuff back into the box before picking her up and hugging her
"Thank you." He said as she laughed
"You're welcome." She nuzzled her face into his neck.

Lexi looked at them with a smile on her face then turned to Damon who just glared at the couple, specifically Stefan.

Stefan walked into the Grill to see Lexi and Rory dancing and laughing with each other, he understood Lexi. What the hell was he thinking not asking her out. She was smart, funny, kind, beautiful, she made him laugh, she clearly gets along with his friends. She obviously wasn't perfect but she was perfect for him.

"Two shots of tequila. Make that three." Lexi said as she noticed Stefan
"I need to see some ID." The bartender said
"No you don't." She compelled.

"That'll be-"
"Free!" She compelled again
"On the house." He said and poured the shots
"Thanks!" She smiled and walked over to Rory.

"I cannot remember having this much fun." Rory laughed taking the shot
"Well, I cannot remember being as happy as he is with you." Lexi admitted
"I think he's starting to regret not asking you out sooner." She whispered and Rory laughed.

"I have to ask... what is it with you and Damon?" She asked
"Nothing. Stefan said he felt this tether to me but he also said Damon felt it as well." Rory explained
"I noticed Damon looking at you. Multiple times." She said.

"I know what happened with Katherine and it's honestly none of my business especially their rivalry. I'm just confused." She said. Lexi gave her a reassuring smile before passing a shot to her
"Drink." Rory smiled and took the shot.

"Well, Stefan is a great guy. He likes you, really likes you. You being in between him and his brother is not your fault and your doing. It's them idiots. Don't worry I'll kick their asses for you." She said and Rory laughed.

"Right speaking of one of the idiots. I better go see him." She said and went to Stefan to where Stefan is playing pool.

"Yep, I drank yours, sorry." She said and Stefan laughed
"Thank you." He said looking at Rory
"You weren't supposed to be listening." She said and he looked at her.

"I was feeling epic, whatever."

Rory sat down with Stefan
"So how do you feel, birthday boy?" She asked
"I don't usually do anything for my birthday but I'm glad I did." He said and Rory grabbed his hand.
"So am I." She said.

Stefan looked at her and then looked behind her
"Oh my god!" He said
"What is it?" She turned and he stood up and tried to leave
"Excuse me, sorry." He said and then he sees one of the deputies at the door
"Can't go out this way" He said.

"We can go out the staff door." Rory said and they walked to it and left. Once they were outside they could the officers and Sheriff taking Lexi to the police car when she threw the officers off. Sheriff Forbes shot her with wooden bullets, but Lexi is too strong. Out of nowhere, Damon appears and staked her.
"Oh my god!" Rory gasped.

"Stefan! Stefan! Wait!" Rory shouted after him
"He killed her! He killed Zach; he killed Tanner; he turned Vicki; I have to kill him!" He shouted
"When has killing ever fixed everything!" She asked.

"Why are you trying to save him?! Rory he's never gonna change! Don't you see that?! He's never gonna change!" He shouted
"I'm not trying to save him! I'm trying to save you for not being like him!"
"Everywhere I've been, pain and death follow; Damon follows me. No more." He said.

"Stefan-"
"No. Stay away from me." He said
"You know what? Do what the fuck you want."

Rory had learned from a very early age when to let things go. When people died or if she was no longer friends with them she would shut down her emotions. Completely. She would feel numb. That's when she would lash out. She would get anger at the people she liked the most because if she pushed them away hard enough, she wouldn't be as hurt as she would if they had left her.

Rory walked to where she had seen Sheriff Forbes put Lexi, the morgue. Ironically.
"Hi." She whispered
"Look, I'm sorry this happened to you. Damon is a dick." She said.

"I just wanted to say goodbye. You have been more of a friend than some of the people I've known for years." Rory said
"Goodbye." She said and kissed her forehead before sneaking out of the morgue.
