Rory held onto Damon's hand as they walk through the tunnels with Ric
"So, the Lockwoods really have no idea that these tunnels are underneath their property?" Rory asked
"Careful where you shine that thing. Bats hate the light." Ric said
"Wait, what?" She asked.

"Don't scare her. The amount of time it took for me to convince her to be here." Damon told him
"So, you really can't get in?" Rory asked Damon
"No. Seems even the ancient Lockwoods were anti-vampire." He said.

"What do you mean, ancient?" Rory asked
"See for yourself." He told her and they walked further to see a cave with drawings on them
"Well, this is as far as I get to go." Damon said and she held onto his hand.

"You'll be fine. Ric." Damon called and Ric held out his hand for Rory and they both walked in
"What is all this?" She asked
"Well, as far as I can tell, it's a story. In simple, archaeological terms, it's a really, really old story." Ric told her.

"That right there, is the moon cycle. A man, a wolf." He pointed to drawings
"A werewolf." Rory put the pieces together
"Yeah, it's the 'Lockwood Diaries: Pictionary-Style.'" Damon said.

"I don't understand. I thought the Lockwoods came here with the Original Founders in the 1860s." Rory said
"I don't know. Maybe the Lockwoods did, but according to this wall, these werewolves have been here a lot longer than that."

"How long?" She asked
"Long. It gets better. Show her, Ric." Damon said and Ric flashed the light onto the wall
"Names. They're not native. They're written in Runic, a Viking script." He explained.

"Vikings?"
"This name here, I translated it and it reads Niklaus." He said to a name
"Nik." Rory breathed out
"And Elijah...and Rebekah." He said.

"These are the names of the Original Family. They were here before, way before." Rory said
"Carved into a cave that's been here since way before the founding of Mystic Falls. Or even the entire New World, for that matter." Alaric said.

"Okay, this isn't one of Klaus' fakes?" Rory asked
"That's what I said." Damon said
"That could be true, except this name up here made us think otherwise." He said.

"What's the name?" She asked
"Mikael." He told her and Rory instantly felt sick
"Mikael... Mikael, as in, the vampire hunter who knows how to kill Klaus?" She asked.

"Yep. I now like to call him 'Papa Original'." Damon said
"And that's not even the best part." He told Rory
"And what is it exactly?" Rory asked.

"That name over there." Damon moved the flashlight to another name.

"And what does that translate to?" She asked
"Aurora."
"And? Aurora is a very old name, they probably knew like 15 of them."

"Explain that then under your name." He told her and she looked at the words.

"Translation?"
"Our Soulmate. So in full, it says 'Aurora, our soulmate' How adorable." Damon gasped sarcastically
"Great." Rory sighed as Ric started to take photos of the drawings.

Ric was looking through the photos on the desk as Damon tried to help Rory how to fight
"These images tell a story....to learn the story, you have to decipher these images." He said to Elena as she watched her cousin try to hit Damon.

"Sloppy!" He said
"Shut up! I'm new at this." She said
"Ghost of Christmas Past Mason Lockwood set up the cave and led us to a weapon that can kill Klaus." He said.

"Which we are not going to do since Rory, Stefan and I would die. Don't really feel like dying." He said and Rory nodded
"So that's why we let Nik kill him, right?" Rory gave Damon a look
"Yep." He nodded.

"Yeah, but doesn't Mikael have a weapon?" Elena asked
"Yes. Which probably means the wall will lead us to Mikael, who we have already found...and lost. Bang! You're dead!" Damon then bit Rory on the neck and she pushed him away.

"These images at the very least might tell us what that weapon is." Alaric said
"Then all we have to do is find out what they mean." Elena said
"Fine! Fine! If I am being irritatingly optimistic like you two...how do you suppose we do that?" Damon asked.

"Well, if the story is about the Original Family living here, then we go straight to the source." She told him and then gave Rory a look
"We can ask a couple of questions but we will remain respectful since you know. It'd be kinda like asking about your parents and specific events." Rory said.

"Fine."

Elena and Rory walked into the Salvatore house when they see Rebekah walk towards them with champagne glasses
"Hey! What's up?" She asked
"You invited me over? To talk?" Elena said.

"All right girls, have at it!" Six girls then walk out with homecoming dresses on
"Okay, now twirl please." Rebekah said and they begin to twirl
"You compelled your own private runway show?" Elena asked.

"I need a Homecoming dress. So, what do you think? Pick one." Rebekah said
"I'm not here to help you shop. I'm here to talk about why you don't want me to wake up Mikael." Elena said and Rory winced, Rebekah then sped over to one of the girls, fangs out.

"I said pick one, Elena." She said
"The...red one." Elena said
"There. It wasn't so hard, was it? Go away. Remember nothing." She told the girls and they left.

"You do not threaten me. You'll learn what I allow you to learn. Is that clear?" Rebekah asked and then walked past her.

They ended up in Stefan's room
"How fun is this?" Rebekah asked as she looked through his drawers
"We shouldn't be here..." Elena said.

"Course we should! Come on, like you've never wanted to snoop. Boxer briefs. A lot has changed since the twenties." Rebekah held them up and Rory chuckled
"Are you gonna root through his stuff all night or are you gonna start to tell me your story?" Elena asked.

"Ah...you really are no fun. What do you want to know?" Rebekah asked
"Well, Elijah said that your father was a landowner in Europe. How did you guys end up here?" Elena asked.

"My parents had just started a family, when a plague struck their homeland. They lost a child to it. They wanted to escape and protect their future family from the same fate." Rebekah said
"So, how did you end up here? This part of the world hadn't even been discovered yet." Rory asked.

"Not by anyone in your history books. But my mother knew the witch Ayana, who heard from the spirits of a mystical land where everyone was healthy...blessed by the gifts of speed and strength. That lead my family here, where we lived amongst those people." She explained.

"The werewolves?" Elena asked
"To us, they were just our neighbours. My family lived in peace with them for over 20 years, during which time my family had more children, including me." She said.

"You make it sound so normal." Elena said
"It was." Rebekah told her
"Once a month our family retreated into the caves beneath our village. The wolves would howl through the night and by morning we'd return home..." She told.

"One full moon, Klaus and my youngest brother Henrik snuck out to watch the men turn into beasts. That was forbidden. Henrik paid the price..." She said mournfully
"And one of the last moments my family had together as humans." She said and then Rory's phone began to ring.

"You better get that. That'll be Damon checking up on you." Rebekah said and she stepped out of the room to answer the phone
"Hello?" She asked.

"Hey!" Rory heard music and talking
"Damon, where are you?" She asked
"No idea, but I'm pretty sure I'm overdressed...Still standing?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm fine, but I can't talk right now." She said
"I'll be at the bar." She heard a voice
"Is that Stefan?" She asked.

"Yeah, I kinda went off a bit. Don't worry. I know what I'm doing." He said
"Damon! How could you let him out?" She groaned and then walked back into the room
"I will be about an hour, got to track down my dumbasses of soulmates. Behave both of you." She told both of them and then left.

Rory walked into the bar, being able to actually track down Damon's phone to see Damon and Stefan taking shots
"You both have some real fucking explaining to do." She said as she approached them.

"Rory, baby, have a seat." Damon pulled her to his lap
"Yeah, relax." Stefan said as he moved her hair to the side and bit her neck with his blunt teeth making her shiver.

"No! Usually I would fine with public 'things' within limit but this I draw the line." She said
"Oh come on, we had so much fun on the road trip," Stefan leaned in closer to her, "in Vegas." Shivers went down Rory's spine as the memories came fresh in her mind.

"No! I cannot believe you!" Rory turned to Damon
"What? I needed a drinking buddy, Ric's busy." He shrugged
"No more sex! Either of you. Feed on someone else." Rory said.

"Woah, let's not be irrational. I get it, I screwed up but it doesn't have to be brought to extremes, Rory." Damon told her
"No, if you want to do to do this. Fine. But I want you to know this is what you've missed out on." Both of their phones pinged and they looked at what she had sent them.

"Rory!" Damon whined
"Bye boys." She waved and then left.

"Now, I get it you have no emotions but come on." Damon turned to his brother
"I know I don't have feelings but I still." He cleared his throat and Damon chuckled
"Welcome to the club."

Rory walked through the Salvatore house when she heard sobbing then saw Rebekah kneeling down on the floor.

"Rebekah." Rory rushed to her and hugged her
"What happened?"
"Ni- Nik. He- he killed my mother." She sobbed.

Rory looked on the ground to find the photos of the drawings that Ric took photos from the cave, she instantly figured out what happened and that Elena had part in her soulmate's upset.

"If it makes you feel better, my mother came back from the dead with her witch cult and tried to ritually sacrifice me." Rory said
"What?" Rebekah lifted her head.

"How about we make some cupcakes and watch TV, I'll let you pick the movie."
"Movie?" Rebekah looked confused
"You know, maybe I'll pick the movie." Rory winced.

Rebekah and Rory sat on her bed, cuddling as they ate cupcakes. Rory noticed Rebekah looking at one of the photos and noticed it was the one about her
"Why is my name carved into the wall?" Rory asked.

"It all started when we turned into vampire." Rebekah explained
"When we turned we were bombarded with a chant of a name. Aurora. When we finally got sleep we saw you, you were dressed in a green dress, you looked like a princess. A queen."

"We spent years trying to find you, the image of you was embedded in our minds. Nik drew pictures of you, then over time we all got daggered. Except Nik, of course." Rebekah said.

Rory turned to Rebekah and kissed her. Rebekah smiled into the kiss.

Rebekah then straddled Rory's lap and kissed down her neck
"Fuck." Rory whispered and Rebekah lifted her head.

"What do you want?" She asked and Rory looked up at her, pupils blown
"I need words." Rebekah demanded,
"I want to complete the blood bond." She whispered and Rebekah smiled.

"I knew you could do it." And cut her shoulder with her nail
"What are you doing?" Rory asked
"What? Do you think I'm going to be boring and do it from the wrist?" She asked moving her hair to expose her neck more.

"Oh." She nervously chuckled
"Are you okay with this?" Rebekah asked
"Yes." Rory nodded.

Rebekah then kissed her again before kissing down her neck making her where she had cut on her shoulder just above Rory's mouth.

Rory then felt a pinch on her neck and then her lips met Rebekah's shoulder and they both instantly relaxed and then after a little while they pulled away.

Rebekah smiled at Rory and kissed her, her blood mixing with hers and then she rested her forehead onto hers,
"Do you have it?" She asked breathlessly and Rory then lifted her arm.

"I can't believe you're making me go to Homecoming. I already graduated." Rory complained over the phone
"That is why you are my date. So you don't look too old." Rebekah said.

"Yeah, yeah." She muttered
"You have a dress, right?" Rebekah asked
"Yes I do." She said.

"Colour?" Rebekah asked
"It's a surprise." Rory smiled
"Fine. I'll see you then." Rebekah said.

"Bye."

Rory was getting ready when Caroline messaged her saying homecoming was at Tyler's since the gym got flooded.

Rory then texted Rebekah and continued with her hair when she got a message back.

'Okay, meet you there.'

Rory walked through Tyler's house when she immediately heard Caroline's voice
"How did he plan a better party than me so fast? What? Is that a band outside?" She complained as Rory walked closer
"Who are all these people?" Bonnie asked.

"This is weird! Where is Tyler?" She asked
"I don't know and you're right. This is weird." Rory said
"Oh my god! Rory! You look amazing!" Caroline hugged her.

"Thank you." Rory smiled and hugged Bonnie
"Have any of you seen Rebekah?" She asked and they both shook their heads
"Okay then. I'll go try and find her." Rory walked away and tried to find her.

She looked at the stage to see Klaus stood there
"Good evening everyone! I wanna thank you for being here with me to celebrate! It's been a long time coming!" Everyone cheered and Klaus noticed Rory and smiled.

Rory stood there with a drink in her hand when a arm wrapped around her waist
"Hello, love." Klaus whispered in her ear
"Hi." She got out of his grip and looked at him.

"What? Still angry. You haven't answered any of my calls." He said
"I am very well aware." Rory sighed and took a sip. Klaus then grabbed her wrist
"You've been busy."

"Wouldn't really say that, it just happened." She said
"Where is Rebekah?" Klaus asked
"I don't know. I've been looking her for the time I have been here." She sighed.

"Listen, I need to go somewhere. Go home for the night and I will meet you there." Klaus told her
"Okay." She nodded and he kissed her gently
"I'll be back."

Rory walked to her car when someone grabbed her wrist
"What the fuck?" She asked
"Who the fuck are you?"

"No one you'll live long enough to know." He said before everything went black.

"Well that hurt." Rory groaned
"Rory?" She groaned as she turned her head to see Elena
"What's happening?" She asked and everyone stayed silent.

Suddenly they were dragged up to where Klaus was and the guy who hit Rory
"Come out and face me, Niklaus. Or they die." He threatened
"Go ahead. Kill them." Klaus said
"Excuse you." Rory said offended.

"No, Klaus. He'll do it." Elena said
"If she dies, this lot will be last of your abominations. And if she dies, well, there's no one to love you now."
"I don't need them. I just need to be rid of you." Klaus said.

"To what end, Niklaus? So you can live forever, with no one at your side? Nobody cares about you any more, boy! What do you have other than those whose loyalty you forced? No one. No one." He said
"I'm calling your bluff, father. Kill them." Klaus said.

"Come outside and face me, you little coward. And I won't have to."
"My whole life you've underestimated me. If you kill them you lose your leverage. So go ahead. Go on. Kill them. Come on, old man. Kill them. Kill them!" Klaus shouted.

"Your impulse, Niklaus. It has and will forever be the one thing that keeps you from truly being great." He stabbed Elena and she fell to the floor then stabbed Rory who also fell to the floor.

Rory was completely disoriented when someone stood over her, but she was unable to see
"Rory?" She thought it was Elena's voice but it wasn't. It was Katherine's.
"I got you. Come on. Drink." She encouraged and Rory opened her mouth, feeling blood go down her throat.

Her vision started clearing up and the pain in her body started to fade when her eyes closed.

"What did you do?" Klaus slammed Damon to a wall
"I only did it so you would give back Stefan's freedom, we knew he wasn't gonna kill you." Damon said
"Really? Well clearly you don't know anything." He said.

"I will admit I am now hesitant." Damon said
"And what about Rory?" Klaus asked
"I didn't know that is why I saved you along with Stefan." He said.

"She could of been killed!" He shouted
"You don't think I know that!" Damon shouted back
"Then why did you do it!"

"To help her! Ever since you took control of Stefan she has been miserable! She tries to distract herself but at night she is in her bed crying!" Damon shouted
"As much as this shocking to hear! Rory needs help!" Katherine shouted and Klaus rushed to her and sped off, carrying her body.

Rory woke up not in her own bed, she felt her hand in someone else's. She peered up to see Klaus sitting beside the bed
"You've got some fucking grovelling to do." She said and he lifted his head then hugged her.

"I thought I lost you."
"Well, hate to break it to you but you'd be dead if I was." Rory replied
"I am so sorry I told you to go home, I should of thought-"

"It's not your fault. I'm more pissed at the others for that. But then again if you didn't compel Stefan to be your little minion, wouldn't of happened in the first place." She said
"I will spend our eternity together making it up to you." He said.

"Can't you just compel him to switch his humanity back on?" She asked
"Not that simple, they have to be willing."
"I don't think Stefan is quite willing to do anything at the moment." She muttered.

Rory walked through the Salvatore House when she instantly got picked up and slammed into someones arms
"You're back, I am so sorry about what happened. I love you so much, I didn't know what Mikael was planning." Damon rushed out.

"Right, first, you're crushing me." Rory said, he let go of her and caressed her face,
"Second..." Rory brushed his hair back and then leaned forward
"The grovelling you have to do is chronic." She chuckled as she leaned back.

"Rory..." He groaned
"No, you helped with something shitty, Nik did something shitty. Stefan... as soon as he turns his humanity back on he will be grovelling till I get pregnant by one of you and yes I am saying that because it is impossible!" She exclaimed.

"I will, in many ways." He brushed her hair back to reveal her neck
"Oh and that means no sex." Rory told him
"Rory-"

"Nope." She pulled away and went to walk upstairs
"Well, maybe speaking of Klaus doing something shitty." Damon said
"What now?!"

Klaus and Tyler were talking when they heard Rory's voice
"Niklaus Mikaelson!" She shouted
"Oh shit, you're dead." Tyler said and tried to leave when Klaus grabbed the collar of his shirt
"You're not leaving." Klaus ordered him and Rory entered the room.

"Tyler. Leave. Now."
"Sorry, dude. You're on your own. She is scary." Tyler left
"Hello love. You look radiant today." Klaus smiled.

"What in the world is wrong with you?" She asked
"What do you mean?"
"Don't play dumb. Getting one of your minions to compel Jeremy to outside in the middle of the road to get hit leading Alaric pushing him out of the way and getting hit. What the fuck!" She exclaimed.

"Listen, love. You have to hear me out."
"Hear you out! No, you say the words 'hear me out' when you show a photo of a guy you like to your friends knowing that he's not that attractive but you think he's the hottest guy you have seen. Not when you make someone hit someone else with a car!" Rory shouted.

"They let you be in the middle of danger! You could've died!" Klaus replied back
"Let me ask you this. Has any of your friends contacted you? Elena? Jeremy? Matt? Bonnie?" He asked and she thought for a moment
"1, Matt is not my friend. 2, that is besides the point." She said.

"I am trying to protect you. I got angry and I spiralled, I was scared they were going to take you away from me." He admitted and she hugged him
"I understand, but you can't go after my family. I don't interfere with your family issues, you don't with mine."

"Yes but I have no intentions of sleeping with your family members." He said
"Shut up we are having a nice moment."
