"Who is this guy, Safari Sam?" Klaus said in Alaric's body as he picked a shirt and walked to Katherine who is tied to a chair in the living room
"Okay, bad or badder?" He asked Katherine.

"The dark colours suit you better." Katherine said
"Oh, thank you, honey. Okay, pop quiz. The dagger and white ash are in the Salvatore's possession, correct?" He asked putting the shirt on.

"The dagger was used to kill Elijah, you'll find him in the basement of the Salvatore house." She answered
"Okay, that dagger needs to stay exactly where it is. The last think I need to do is resurrect Elijah. Oh, that guy is a buzz kill." He said buttoning up the shirt.

"And don't forget you're on the outs with your girlfriend, Jenna." Katherine reminded
"Right, Elena's aunt. For, uh, all the lies about Isobel. What else?" He asked
"That's it." Katherine asked and he touched her head making her flinch.

"Oh, so jumpy."
"Please just kill me, I've told you everything that I know." She said
"You see, I believe that you believe that. But what would you not know? What could they be keeping from you? Anything? Tell me." He compelled.

"They were trying to see if Bonnie could find a way to kill an Original without a dagger."
"Bonnie the best friend? I thought you said she didn't have her powers anymore." Klaric said
"She doesn't or didn't. I don't know. You kidnapped me remember, I'm kind of out of the loop."
"Well, we'll have to get to the bottom of that. Anything else?" He compelled.

"Rory. She's visiting her friends last time I checked. She's the Salvatore Brother's weakness, their soulmate." She said
"Soulmate?" He asked
"Please just kill me, Klaus and be done with it." Katherine pleaded.

"And show you kindness? I've searched for you for over 500 years. Your death is going to last half that long." He said.
He then took out a knife
"Now, I want to take this knife and stab yourself." He said and Katherine stabbed herself in the leg
"Now, take it out." And she does.
"Now, while I'm gone, I want you to do that over and over and over again and if you get bored, switch legs."
"Where are you going?"
"I'm gonna go lay eyes on my precious doppelgänger." And he kissed her forehead.

"Oh, don't looks so glum, Katerina. The fun is just beginning."

"There she is!" Damon opened his arms as Rory ran into them, he picked her up,
"How are your friends?" He asked
"They're okay. I'm so glad to be home." She said and then jumped out of his arms and then hugged Stefan.

"So are we." He said when Elena and Bonnie run up to her
"You're back!" They hug her
"Not back from the dead, so chill, you're both crushing my lungs." She groaned.

"Everything is settled and the lawyer is waiting for you." Damon said to Rory,
"Okay, I will be back." She then walked into the house with Elena and Bonnie
"Where's our kiss?" Damon asked.

"Wait until I've sorted stuff out." She told them and closed the door
"Do we tell her about Elijah?" Stefan asked
"No, she just got back. Give it time." Damon said.

"Please sign here and here." Mr Henry handed Rory a pen
"Okay." She then made her signature
"So this place is all yours? They just gave it to you?" Bonnie asked.

"For now. As sole owner, I'm the only one who can invite a certain type of person in here, if you know what I mean, the only reason it's not Elena is because she's still a minor." Rory explained
"Your own personal safe house." Bonnie said to Elena.

"That's the idea." She said
"Wouldn't want to clean it." Bonnie asked Rory and she chuckled then once it's done, she opened the door.
"Thank you, Mr. Henry." He nodded then left.

"Hey, sweetheart." Damon leaned against the door while Bonnie and Elena roll their eyes
"Hi." Rory smiled back
"Wanna let us in?" He asked.

"I mean you're a bit of a dick, gonna have to think about it." She looked up at him
"I won you a stuffed bear." He told her
"Yes to ask me to be your girlfriend. You've used that token." She scoffed.

"I'll give you the best sex of your life." He suggested and everyone grimaced
"You're disgusting. Come in both of you." She grimaced as well and they walked in.

"You didn't plead my case." Stefan told her
"Wasn't gonna take my chances after that." She chuckled
"He really needs a filter." He said and she nodded.

"Right, are your bags in your car?" Rory asked
"Yeah." Elena said
"Okay." She said and they went to leave.

"Wait, where are you two going?" Stefan asked
"To school." Elena said as if she were stating the obvious
"Huh?" He asked.

"No, no, no. We didn't create a safe house for you two to leave it." Damon shook his head
"Yeah, guys, Klaus is out there. We know that." Stefan said.

"Right. But where? No one knows. Look, I really appreciate what you guys are doing. And I'll be able to sleep at night knowing that I'll be safe here, but I'm not going to be a prisoner." Elena said and they look at Rory.

"Well I need to graduate so that's why I'm going. We all know Klaus doesn't exactly want to kill me." She gave them all a look. She did end up telling them about her being soulmates with him, she kept Elijah's secret about him being his brother.

"Don't worry, I'm ready. If he shows his face, I can take him. Know how." Bonnie said
"The way I see it, next to Bonnie is the safest place that I can be. Come on." Elena said then left
"You have class with her. You can be my eyes and ears." Rory said to Stefan and he followed her.

He saw her. The doppelgänger. Everything was going to plan.

"Hey, Ric." He turned to see her. His soulmate looking at him, he had to play it cool. He's her teacher. But also her friend.

This teacher was weird.

"Hey, Rory." He said
"I brought you lunch. Elena said something was off and as your fellow history buff, you need to eat." She said.

"Thank you." He said
"Well, I'm going home. Have fun." She said and walked out the room.

"I need my original body back." He muttered.

"Sorry, I'm late." Klaric said as he walked into the Salvatore house
"Hey, I need you to put me down as a chaperone at the dance tonight. Klaus made his first move." Damon said and he nodded
"Wait he did?" He turned his head to see Rory going down the stairs.

"Yeah, he asked me to the dance."  Elena said and Rory gasped in fake offence
"What a whore." Rory shook her head as Klaric winced slightly
"Okay, so we find him and then what, hmm? What's our plan of attack?" Elena asked.

"Me. I'm the plan. He has no idea how much power I can channel. If you can find him, I can kill him." Bonnie said
"That's not going to be that easy. I mean, he is the biggest, baddest vampire around." Klaric said.

"Alaric has a point. I mean, what if he..." Damon rushed at Bonnie and she threw him across the room with her powers.
"Well, I was impressed." Stefan said and Rory laughed.

"Rory you're not supposed to laugh." Damon groaned and Rory crouched next to him
"Oh sweetie. As much as I adore you... I'm gonna laugh, it was hilarious." She patted his face.

"It doesn't matter if he's an Original. I can take down anyone who comes at me. I can kill him, Elena. I know I can." Bonnie said and tension filled the air.

"So Klaus is gonna be there?" Rory asked Damon
"Most likely." He said
"Well, I gotta get ready." Rory went to walk upstairs.

"Why?" He stopped her by wrapping his arms around her
"Because he's my soulmate and you're hot, Stefan's hot, Elijah's hot. All of my soulmates are gonna be hot. Gotta prepare." She pulled her V-neck top to reveal her lace bra.

"Prepare for what?" Klaric asked
"First impressions." She said.
"Your first impression of him is trying to kill Elena." Damon said.

"Not everyone's perfect. My first impression of you?" Rory reminded him as Elena looked amused, Rory was the only one who made it seem like she was normal.

"Hi." Rory wrapped her arms around Stefan
"Hey." He said and they all went into the dance when Dana goes onto the stage
"Thanks for being here, everybody. We have a special shout-out tonight. This is for Rory. From Klaus." Dana announced and Rory gulped.

"That was a lame, cheap shot. He's just trying to bait us." Damon reassured her
"I know everyone here." Elena said looking around
"Maybe he's not here. Just wants us to believe that he is." Stefan said.

"It's a party, people. Blend. Let him come to us."  Damon said
"Good idea." Bonnie said and left with Jeremy

"There's Ric. Come on." He said and they walked over to him
"Special dedication, huh? This guy's a little twisted." Klaric looked for a reaction
"I'm not impressed." Damon said.

"No?" He looked at Damon
"Let me know if you see anything out of whack." He said
"Look after this one." Damon motioned to Rory.

"Why do I need to look after you?" Klaric asked
"He's thinks I'm going to have a mental breakdown." She said
"Why?" He asked, immediately concerned.

"Because I'm starting to have all my lasts. Last Decade Dance." She sighed
"Yeah and you didn't even do the right decade. That's 70s." He joked and she scoffed
"I'll have you know the 70s were better. I won't be here for that one anyway." She said.

"You planning any college applications?" He asked
"Nah, well, I am but they're for colleges I can do online. I want to stay here." She said
"Why? Mystic Falls doesn't exactly scream you." He said.

"Everyones here. I can't go and leave them. I might go on a road trip, Chicago or New Orleans." She sighed as she imagined it as he looked at her. He was completely hypnotised by her. Her movements, her smile, her voice, everything.

"I'm just gonna hide in your classroom and drink then go home." She sighed then left.

Rory walked out of the dance slightly tipsy when Dana walked up to her
"Yes?" She asked when she didn't talk just handed her a note and a flower then left.

"What the fuck?" She muttered before opening the letter.

'Places that scream you.'

She looked down to see a list of places then at the bottom.

'Can't wait to take you.'
'Klaus'

She then looked at the flower in her hand in amazement, it was an orange rose. The same colour as her outfit.

Rory walked downstairs to get a glass of water and aspirin when she saw her cousin
"Holy shit!" She whispered
"You need to come with me." Elena said
"Where?" She asked and Elena took her hand and led her to the basement.

She looked at Elena confused until she saw Elijah laying there dead with a dagger in his heart
"What did you all do?" She turned to her.

"It doesn't matter." Elena walked past her and undaggered him.

Rory and Elena wait for Elijah to wake up when he gasped awake
"Elijah." Elena walked over to him
"Katerina!" He gasped.

"Elijah! It's me, it's Elena." She told him
"Oh, my God."
"Rory!" Rory rushed to him as he got up, gasping for air.

"I can't-I can't breathe! What's happening to me?" He asked as he rushed over to the door but slammed into the doorway and Rory held him up
"I can't...I can't be in this house." He said to her.

"You're not invited in." She realised
"Then get me out of here." He told her, he slammed into another wall as he tried to get to the front door. He finally made it out as he gasped for air,
"What happened?" He asked and Rory placed her finger to her lip.

"I'll tell you. Not here. Can I trust you?" Elena asked in a whisper
"Can I trust you?" He asked and Rory rolled her eyes
"You know what." Rory took the dagger from Elena then gave it to him.

"Do you trust me?" She asked
"With all my life." He told her
"Well, then let's go." She walked past him.

"You're driving?!" Elena asked as she went after her
"Yeah, I have something in the back of the car, dating vampires and all." She said
"But you're driving?!"

Rory parked the car at the side of the road as Elijah sat next to her while drinking a blood bag
"The fact that you have them in your car." Elena said from the back
"Well, it keeps them distracted from drinking from my neck. Vampires are blood horny." She looked at her.

"You look better." Elena said
"Where did you get the dagger?" He asked her
"I'll tell you everything. But we have to work together, Elijah. I need your word." Elena told him.

"Your ability to make demands has long passed." He told her
"No demands. I'm offering you my help. And in return, I want yours." She said
"And why should I even consider this?"  He asked.

"The same reason that you haven't killed me. You need my help to kill Klaus. And I need you. You'd also do it for Rory." Elena said then Rory's phone rang and she answered it.

"Hey babe." Rory smiled
"Where are you? Are you okay?" Stefan asked
"Yes, I'm fine." She said.

"Where's Elijah?" He asked
"He's right here, being hot." Elijah turned to her
"Where? I'm on my way." He said.

"No, Stefan, Elijah and I need some time alone, and not that type of time though unfortunately since Elena is here." Elena playfully rolled her eyes
"Listen to me. He can't be trusted he'll use you to get to Klaus." He said.

"Stefan, I'm gonna say this nicely cause I don't like fighting but... you didn't fucking tell me that Elijah was in the basement let alone daggered. If Elena didn't need my help I swear I would of..." She took a deep breath.

"Think what you want about this. I'm helping Elena even though you all lied to me. We will discuss when we get back." She hung up and sighed against her seat.

"Are you okay?" Elena asked
"No, I'm not. Let's just get this fucking over with." Rory handed Elijah her phone and Rory noticed blood at the corner of his mouth.

"Here." She wiped the blood with her thumb then licked it off her thumb and they both looked at her
"I make out with Damon. He's always got a blood bag somewhere." She said.

"By the way he's here." Rory said
"Klaus is here?" Elijah looked at her in shock
"He's taken over Alaric's body." She shrugged.

"Of course he has. One of his favourite tricks."
"Well, what are his other tricks? What is he going to do next? You're the only one who knows him." Elena said and Elijah looked at Rory
"Yes, I do." He said.

Elijah knocks on the door to the Lockwood mansion and Carol opened the door
"Elijah, Elena, Rory! What are you doing here? What happened?" She asked
"I've had a bit of an incident, Carol. I'm hoping you could help." Elijah said
"Well, I'm on my way to a meeting, so I-"

"It won't take but a minute of your time." He compelled her and she smiled
"Of course. Anything you need." She said and Rory gagged
"Thank you." He said and they entered.

"Well, first things first. I'm going to need a change of clothing." He said
"Well, we can try one of my husband's suits. I haven't boxed them up yet." Carol suggested
"Wonderful." He said and she went upstairs.

"How did you know she's not on vervain?" Elena asked
"'Cause I'm the one who got her off it. Right before you and your friends killed me. Twice. If you'll excuse me. I'll be down in a moment." He said then went upstairs.

Elijah, Elena and Rory sat in the living room as they spoke
"So I assume that the Martin witches are no longer with us." Elijah said
"No. I'm sorry." Elena apologised.

"And Katerina? She would have been released from my compulsion when I died." Elijah asked
"Klaus took her. We think that she may be dead." Elena said
"I doubt that. Not Klaus' style. Death would be too easy for her after what she did." He said.

"I don't understand. You say that you want Klaus dead, but you still made Katherine pay for betraying him." Elena said
"I have my own reasons for wanting Katerina to pay. There was a time...I'd have done anything for Klaus." He said then explained.

"Yes. Klaus is my brother." He confirmed
"I heard that. I'm still processing." Elena said
"Yes, I'm a little behind on the times, but I believe the term you're searching for is 'O.M.G.'" He said and Rory smiled.

"There's a whole family of Originals?" Elena asked
"My father was a wealthy land owner in a village in Eastern Europe. Our mother bore seven children." He said
"Again ouch." Rory winced.

"So your parents were human?" Elena asked
"Our whole family was. Our origin as vampires is a very long story, Elena. Just know...We're the oldest vampires in the world. We are the Original family, and from us all vampires were created." He explained.

"Right, but Klaus is your brother. And you want him dead?" She asked
"And you knew this?" Elena asked Rory looking betrayed
"It wasn't my thing to tell. Also you're really that upset, you lied to me about my soulmate. You have no place to judge." She said.

"I need some air. I'm still feeling a tad...dead. Come." He told them.

They all walked outside
"So as you've seen, nothing can kill an Original. Not Sun, not fire, not even a werewolf bite. Only the wood from one tree. A tree my family made sure burned." He told them
"That's where the white ash for the dagger comes from." Rory said.

"Yes. The witches won't allow anything truly immortal to walk the earth. Every creature needs to have a weakness in order to maintain the balance." He said
"So the Sun can't kill an Original. Why is Klaus so obsessed with breaking the Sun and Moon curse?" Elena asked.

"Right. The curse of the sun and the moon. It's all so...biblical-sounding, don't you think?" He smiled with amusement
"What's so funny?" Elena asked.

"I don't understand. So Klaus drew the Aztec sketches about the curse?" Elena asked
"Roman scrolls, African tribal etchings, and any other culture or continent we felt like planting in it." Elijah asked.

"But why?" She asked
"Easiest way to discover the existence of a doppelgänger or to get your hands on some long, lost moonstone is to have every single member of two warring species on the lookout." He explained.

"So it's not Aztec at all?" Elena asked
'The curse of the Sun and the Moon...is fake. It doesn't exist." He said then walked away
"What?!" She asked.

"Klaus and I faked the sun and moon curse dating back over a thousand years." He told them
"But if there's no curse..."
"There's a curse. Just not that one. The real one's much worse. It's a curse placed on Klaus." He said.

"What are you talking about?" Elena asked
"Klaus has been trying to break it for the last thousand years. And you are his only hope." He said
"What is this curse?" She asked and Elena's phone was buzzing.

'Your phone will not stop its incessant buzzing. Answer it, please." He said and she took it out of her pocket
"Stefan...what's wrong? No. No, no, no, no. Okay, I'll be right there." Elena hung up.

"Klaus went after Jenna. I have to go to her." She said
"Wait what? I'm going too."
"I'm afraid that wasn't part of today's arrangement." Elijah said.

"She's my family, Elijah. I have to. I'll be back. You have my word." Elena said
"That doesn't mean anything to me until you live up to it." He said
"Thank you." She said.

"Elena!"
"Rory stay here." Elena said
"What? No!"

"Rory! It will be fine. Just stay here." Elena said and Rory threw Elena her keys.

Rory sighed and sat on a bench when Elijah sat next to her
"Aurora."
"How did you know who I was? I didn't see who you were until the night before." She asked.

"We have known about you for centuries." He said.

England, 1492

Klaus sat on the chair once he looked at the curse then began to sketch,
"She is ethereal, isn't she brother?" He asked as Elijah came behind him
"She is indeed." He said as the features of their soulmate came onto the paper.

Klaus finished the drawing and put it next to all the others, in a box with a lock on it.

"He drew you many times." Elijah said and took out a piece of old paper from his pocket
"I always carry this about. I have for centuries." He handed it to her and she opened it.

It was a picture of her.

"So you knew about everything. About Stefan and Damon?" She asked
"It was a feeling you felt when you first met Stefan and Damon. It was like a signal that went off and we knew who they were going to be to you."

"That's why they've met any of you. Because they didn't know." She pieced together
"We knew because we read the tales of the Aliena Reginae." He said and she nodded.

Elena entered the mansion as Rory and Elijah sat next to the fire
"Welcome back." He said
"Tell me. What is Klaus' curse?" She asked as she took off her jacket
"Please." She said and she sat down.

"Is my mom okay?" Rory asked
"She will be, yeah." She said.

"My family was quite close, but Klaus and my father did not get on too well. When we became vampires, we discovered the truth. Klaus was not my father's son. My mother had been unfaithful many years before. This was her darkest secret. Klaus is from a different bloodline. Of course, when my father discovered this, he hunted down and he killed my mother's lover and his entire family. Not realising, of course, that he was igniting a war between species that rages until this day." He explained.

"A war between the species?" Elena asked
"The vampires...and the werewolves."
"So it's his fault we have twilight. Nice." Rory said.

"So Klaus' real father was from a werewolf bloodline? What does that make Klaus? A werewolf? Or a vampire?" Elena asked and Rory realised
"He's both." She muttered
"A hybrid would be deadlier than any werewolf or vampire. Nature would not stand for such an imbalance of power. Therefore the witches, the servants of nature, saw to it that my brother's werewolf side would become dormant." He said.

"That's the curse that Klaus wants to break?" Elena asked
"He wants to trigger that part of him that's a werewolf. If allowed, Klaus would sire his own bloodline. He'd build his own race. Endangering not just vampires, but everyone." He said
"But you helped him?" Elena accused.

"I helped him because I loved him. That's changed, now he must die." He said
"We have the dagger now. We can stop him." Elena said

"When a werewolf is wounded by silver, it heals. An Original can't be killed by anything but white oak ash on a silver dagger. So you see the conundrum. The dagger does not work." Elijah said
"What, are you saying that Klaus can't be killed?" Elena asked.

"There's one way to kill any supernatural species...at the hands of the servants of nature themselves." Elijah said
"A witch. If they can channel that much power. But it would kill them." Rory said.

"The curse must be broken during the full moon. When Klaus is in transition. That's when he'll be at his most vulnerable. A witch with enough power...can kill Klaus." He said.

"What if I told you that I knew a witch that could channel that much power?" Elena told him
"We can't do that to Bonnie." Rory shook her head
"She can do that thing with your blood Rory." Elijah turned to Rory confused.

"May I remind you that the last time something like that happened, I almost died of blood loss then became anaemic." She said 
"Then I would tell you there's one more thing that you should know." Elijah interrupted them.

"You found a way to save the life of the doppelgänger?" Elena asked
"Yes, Elena. I did. But unfortunately, Katerina took matters into her own hands first. I believe you already know how that played out." He said
"You cared about her, didn't you?" Rory softly smiled.

"It's a common mistake, I'm told. And it's one I won't make again." He told her

Rory, Elijah and Elena walked into the Salvatore house to see Damon and Stefan fighting
"Fucking stop!" Rory shouted and everyone looked at her, she never really shouted, everyone could agree it was terrifying.

"Now you've invited him in?" He asked
"He's my fucking soulmate Damon and he's helping us."
"Really?" He asked

"The two of you will come to no harm at my hands. I only ask for one thing in return." Elijah said
"What?" Damon asked
"An apology." He said.

"A what?" He asked

"I'm sorry for the part that I played in your death. I was only thinking about Rory's happiness with Elena. I will always put Rory first and I didn't think about you being her soulmate." Stefan said
"I understand." He nodded and they all look at Damon.

"The sacrifice is going to happen, Damon. Bonnie will be able to kill Klaus without hurting herself and Elijah knows how to save my life. I told you I'd find another way. And I did." Elena said
"Is that true?" He asked Elijah.

"It is." He nodded and he looked at Rory
"And you're trusting him?" He asked
"I am." She said.

"You can all go to hell." He left and she scoffed
"He's angry with me right now. But he'll come around." He said to them
"Perhaps." Elijah said and Rory stood there thinking.

"No fucking way." She said and followed Damon
"Is that safe?" Elena asked
"Yeah, they'll shout and argue then they'll make out. Then he'll apologise because she threatened no sex." Stefan said.

"How do you know?"
"Because they do it every time they watch Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team."  Stefan groaned
"Really? Damon watches that?" Elena asked.

"Yep and they always argue about who got cut." He said.

Damon was standing in his room when he quickly turned and caught a book being thrown at him by Rory
"What the fuck?" He asked
"You all can go to hell. Who the fuck do you think you are?" She asked.

"I'm not in the mood." He went to his bed
"I wasn't in the mood to find out you daggered my fucking soulmate."
"Oh my fucking god! You've known the guy for like what? A day or two? Now you're like 'he's my soulmate' 'he's my future husband' right." He scoffed.

"What is going on?" She asked
"You were never like this to me when you found out who we were. Elijah has done way worse than anyone in this town has. Except Klaus who you are the exact same with." He said.

"So you're jealous?" She asked
"Of course! I had to prove myself to you while they just stand their in their Originality and you're dropping your panties for them." He said.

"I am not. You see this?" She held up her wrist
"I don't see a E.M or a N.M. Meaning I haven't done anything with them! Only you and Stefan!" She shouted
"I want to spend time with them because I have to spend the rest of my life with them!" She exclaimed.

"You don't think this is hard. I have to look at someone I am going to have to love knowing he tried to kill my cousin and then everything with my mom." She slumped her shoulders
"I am trying my hardest to figure out what's going on with my life." She looked up at him.

"I know this is hard. But I need you there, life is getting hectic and I need you and Stefan." She sighed and rested her head on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry." He whispered
"I'm sorry too." She said and kissed him lightly.

"But I swear, you do anything out of line and no more sex!" She told him.
