Elena stood with Rory as she knocked on the door of the Salvatore house and Damon opened the door
"Hello, Rory, Elena." He greeted
"Is Stefan here? He called. He said it was important." Elena said.

"Right this way." He motioned and the two girls went indie the house
"Hey." Rory hugged Stefan
"What is this about?" Elena asked then she saw Rose.

"You." She said and everyone went into the living room
"Where am I gonna go?" Rory asked and Damon then pulled her to his lap
"Okay then..." Rory said.

"Before we start, which one are you dating?" Rose asked Rory
"Both." She said as Damon kissed her neck gently
"Oh." Rose cleared her throat.

"Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true. It's the problem with all this vampire crap but Klaus, I know he's real." Rose said
"Who is he?" Elena asked.

"He's one of the originals, he's a legend." Damon told her
"From the first generation of vampires." Stefan explained
"Like Elijah?" Elena asked.

"No. Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." Rose said.

"I'm sorry but I distinctly remember the easter bunny leaving chocolate eggs, not fucking heads rolling around, no offence." Rory voiced her opinion.

"Klaus is known to be the oldest." Stefan said
"Okay, so you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me?" Elena asked
"Yes." Rose nodded
"No." Damon disagreed.

"What they're saying is, I mean if what she's saying is true..." Damon said
"Which it is." Rose confirmed
"And you're not saying it so I don't kill you." He said
"Which I'm not."

"Then we're looking at a solid maybe." Damon said.

"You'd be a great motivational speaker." Rory turned to him
"I know, I think I could even motivate you in my bed."
"I will make Rose kill you." Rory slapped his shoulder.

"Look, Elijah's dead, right? So no one else even knows that you exist." Stefan said
"Not that you know of." Rose said
"That's not helping." Rory shook her head.

"Look, I've never even met anyone who's laid eyes on him. I mean, we're talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction. We don't know if he's real. For all we know he could just be some sort of stupid bed time story." Stefan said
"A bed time story that could give you nightmares for the next two years." Rory added.

"He's real and he doesn't give up. If he wants something, he gets it. If you're not afraid of Klaus, then you're an idiot." Rose told him
"Alright, we're shaking. You made your point." Damon told her.

Elena then stood up and Rory did the same
"No, stay here." Damon whispered to her and she shook her head
"Where are you going?" Stefan asked them.

"School. We're late." She said
"Let me grab my stuff, I'll go with you two." He said
"It's okay, We know where it is." She said and they walked out.

Rory, Caroline and Elena were walking through the woods
"Tell everyone I wasn't feeling well and I went home from school and Rory had a migraine." Elena said
"I can't believe I'm agreeing to this. I'm a terrible liar." Caroline said.

"I know, you should see her play Clue." Rory said
"And keep Stefan busy. I don't want him to know what I'm up to." Elena said
"I'm even worse at duplicity and you know this." Caroline said.

"You managed to keep me occupied when Katherine paid Stefan a visit."  Elena said and Rory choked on her salvia due to the comment
"Yeah, because she threatened me. Not that I'm saying that you should use that as a tactic, it's...Stefan's gonna see right through me." Caroline objected.

"Caroline, as my friend, do you promise or not?" Elena asked
"You had to break out the girlfriend code. Okay. I promise." Caroline said
"Okay." She said.

"Why don't you want Stefan to know?" Caroline asked
"Because he would never be okay with us doing this." Elena told her
"Yeah, especially after getting kidnapped." Rory said and they went under the ruins in front of the tomb.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Caroline asked
"Yes, I'm sure. She's the only one who knows the truth about Klaus. The only one who can tell me how to stop him." Elena said.

"But you're asking for the truth from someone who's probably never giving it. Are you sure about this?" Caroline asked
"Yeah. I can't just sit back and wait. I have to know, Caroline. Please." Elena said and Caroline opened the tomb's door.

"Katherine?" She called out then looked at Caroline
"We'll be okay from here." She said then they heard a noise and Katherine arrived at the entrance
"Hello Elena, Rory. You both come to watch me wither away? Goodbye Caroline." Katherine said turning to her.

"As long as we stay on this side of the door, she can't hurt us. Please." Elena turned to Caroline and she nodded then left
"Stefan and Damon know you're here?" Katherine turned to Rory
"I brought you some things." Elena ignored Katherine's question.

"You came to bribe me? What is it that you want?" She asked
"I want you to tell me about Klaus." Elena answered
"Hmm, you've been busy." She hummed.

"I also brought you this." Elena took out a book from her bag
"It's your family history. It says in here that the family line ended with you. Obviously that's not true." She said
"You think that if you brought me some family keepsake that I'd open up?" Katherine asked.

"We also brought this." Rory held up a bottle of blood
"See, Katherine. I couldn't give a fuck whether you die or not because as much as you have great fashion sense I cannot stand you. So your choices are, tell us about Klaus or I will pour this on the ground and your body can slowly starve itself into oblivion. Trust me, I've mummified vampires, it's not pretty." Rory whispered to her.

"Since when did you drop the nice act?" Katherine asked
"The moment you decided to go after my mother." Rory told her and then unscrewed the cap on the bottle
"So what's it gonna be?" Rory asked and started to tip the bottle.

"Fine!" Katherine said and Rory stopped then put the blood in a glass before putting it to the ground for her.
"I see why the Salvatore brothers like you." She said as she sipped the blood
"That and you haven't had sex with me."

"It's a long story, Klaus and I. It goes all the way back to England, 1492, after I left Bulgaria. Or was thrown out." Katherine started to tell as Elena gave her more blood
"Thrown out?" She asked.

"My family, your true ancestors, they disowned me. My indiscretions were not tolerated at that time. I had a baby out of wedlock. The shame." She said.
"It was kept secret?" Elena asked.

"My baby was given away. I was banished to England and I had to learn to adjust. So I quickly became English. It was there that I caught the eye of a nobleman named Klaus. I was taken with him at first, til I found out what he was and what he wanted from me. And then I ran like hell." She said and began to explain.

"So, what did Klaus want?" Rory asked
"The same thing that he'll want from your cousin. He wants to break the curse." She said
"By sacrificing the Petrova doppelgänger." Elena said.

"He wanted to drain every single drop of blood from my body."

"What does the Petrova blood line have to do with Klaus?" Elena asked as she gave her more blood
"It's really tedious but..." Katherine drank the blood before crushing the cup.

"The curse was bound by the sacrifice of Petrova blood. Witches are crafty with their spells. The doppelgänger was created as a way to be able to undo the spell. Once the doppelgänger reappeared, the curse can be broken." Katherine said.

"So you ran before he killed you?" Elena asked
"Something like that." She said.

"Rose never ended up taking you back to Klaus, did she?" Rory said
"No, but not because she had a change of heart." Katherine said
"You killed yourself?!" Elena gaped.

"Klaus needed a human doppelgänger. As a vampire, I was no longer any use to him." Katherine said
"But it didn't work. You didn't really escape, you've been running from Klaus ever since." Elena disagreed.

"I underestimated his spirit for vengeance but living in a suitcase is better than dying so you can have your blood spilled over some silly little rock."  She told her and Elena looked uncomfortable
"What's wrong? Afraid I'm right? You don't want to die? There's another way out." She then cut her wrist with her nail.

"Better hurry. Your opportunity is going, going, going and gone. I made the other choice." She said as her wrist heals.

"Rose and Trevor spent the last 500 years running because you used them. Trevor just got killed." Elena said
"I never thought he would last that long." She shrugged.

"You don't even care that you ruined their lives." Elena said
"I was looking out for myself, Elena. I will always look out for myself. If you're smart, you'll do the same." She said then opened the book.

"So how much of your little story is true?" Elena asked
"I have no reason to lie, Elena. I have no reason to do anything but sit here and read and rot." Katherine told her
"Okay, assuming it's even partially true, that's the reason why you came back isn't it? Because you wanted to be the one to hand me over to Klaus." Elena said.

"500 years on the run, I figured maybe he'd be willing to strike a deal." She said
"So you got Mason Lockwood to find you the moonstone." Elena said
"Right again."

"What else do you need to break the curse?" Rory asked
"Look who's the thinker in the family." Katherine said
"It's not just me or the stone, is it? Otherwise there would be no reason to trigger Tyler Lockwood's werewolf curse." Elena said.

"Witches and their spells: so many ingredients, so many people to sacrifice." Katherine groaned
"So you need a werewolf?" Elena asked
"Believe it or not, they're hard to come by."

"What else?" Rory asked
"A witch to do the spell. Mine bailed but Bonnie will do just fine."

"What else?" Elena asked
"A vampire." Katherine said
"Caroline."

"It could have been anyone I suppose but I like the poetry of Caroline." She shrugged
"So you were gonna just hand us all over to be killed?" Elena asked
"Better you die than I." And Katherine then backed away into the tomb.

"Come on let's go." Rory said and they stood up to walk out when they saw Stefan
"Rory. Elena." He crossed his arms
"Stefan, how are you? What are you doing here?" Rory smiled.

"I could ask you two the same question." He said
"Caroline told you." Elena said
"No, she kept your secret but it didn't take long for me to figure out what was the important that you'd have to keep it from me." He looked at Rory.

"I knew that I wouldn't be to stop her so I had to go." She said
"Listen to me, whatever she said to you is a lie. Do not listen to her. She's a liar, Elena." Stefan said
"What if she isn't? You didn't hear what she said." Elena said.

"You don't have to worry, I'm not gonna let anything happen to either you."
"That's the problem, you won't but you'll die trying and so will Rory. How's that any better?" Elena asked
"There's nothing you can do, Stefan. I haven't even told you the best part of the story." They turned to see Katherine.

"He killed them, my entire family, just to get back at me for running. Whatever you do to escape Klaus, he will get his vengeance on your friends, your family and anyone that you've ever loved." Katherine revealed and Rory looked at Stefan.

"No, look at me. No, do not listen to her, okay?" He said to her
"Always the protector but even you must realise that she's doomed. There's nothing you can do to stop it unless of course you have this." She held up the moonstone

"What?" Elena asked
"Oh no, there it is. It's the ultimate lie, isn't it? You spun this whole thing so that we would have to get the stone from you, didn't you?" Stefan said
"I didn't spin anything, Stefan. It's the truth." She told him.

"No, let me guess. You want to trade that stone for your freedom, you manipulative, psychotic bitch." He told her
"My freedom? That's where you're wrong, Stefan. I don't want my freedom because when Klaus shows up to kill us all and he will, I'll be in the tomb, where no vampire will enter because they can't get out. I'll be the safest psychotic bitch in town." She then walked back into the tomb.

Rory walked into the Salvatore house and into Damon's room
"Heard what you did today." He said
"Yep." She shrugged and sat next to him on the bed.

"You're an idiot."
"Actually I did maybe threaten her with blood." She told him
"And then she said no wonder you both liked me. Then I responded 'that and you haven't had sex with me.'" She quoted and he chuckled.

"I'm stealing that." He told her
"Well that's mean. What do I get in return?" She asked and he moved her so she was straddling him.

"Well you haven't had sex with me."
"You are not motivational speaking me into bed. No chance." She shook her head
"I won't. I'll not even make a sound." He kissed her neck, then he scraped his fangs on her neck as she suppressed a moan.

"What do you want, baby?" He asked
"To complete the bond." She breathlessly nodded
"All of it?" He asked and she nodded.

"Please." She begged
"You don't need to beg, they'll be time for that." He whispered and kissed down her neck.

He lifted her shirt off, his fingers trail down her bra strap as he looked up at her.

"Are you sure?" He asked and she nodded while moving her hips on his,
"Words." He ordered
"Yes." She whispered.

He took his shirt off and unbuttoned her jeans then trailed his fingers down into her underwear. Rory rested on his chest as he circled her clit and kissed her head.

Her hands trailed down his chest to his belt as she undid it
"Look who's getting impatient." He cooed
"I will get Stefan if you don't hurry up." She said and then moaned as he placed a finger in her.

"Really? Because Stefan took your virginity, I bet he was sweet. I'm not so sweet."
"Promise?" She asked as she pressed her hand against him as he suppressed a groan.

"Promise." He leaned his head back giving Rory time to kiss down his neck and then looked back then chuckled.

"What?" He asked
"I can give you hickey." She smiled
"Good. Because it would be unfair for you to be covered in them without me having any." He said and she nodded.

He unclipped her bra with one hand then flipped them over so he was on top of her, he then pulled his finger out and then helped her out of her jeans then her bra slid down off her body.

He leans down and kissed her lips
"So beautiful." He whispers against them as he catches her bottom lip in his teeth.

He took his jeans off and then looped his fingers at the side of her underwear and pulled them down.

"Are you sure?" He asked and she nodded
"Please." She whispered and he nodded.

He pulled his boxers down and went on top of her,
"Same time?" He asked and she nodded. He then bit his wrist and held it to her mouth and positioned himself at her entrance.

"Ready?" He asked and she nodded as he hid his face in her neck. Then at once she felt him push into her and bite her neck.

A moan left her lips before she brought his wrist to her mouth and drank his blood as he thrusted into her.

They pulled away and kissed, the feeling of their blood on their tongues as Damon thrusted faster and Rory wrapped her legs around his waist.

Rory and Damon noticed the mark on her wrist.

He kissed the mark and shivers ran down her spine, she then moaned and clenched around Damon.

"Damon." She moaned as he kissed her neck
"I know." He said as she hooked her hand at the back of his neck.

They both moan as they both came and Damon pulled out then kissed down her body, worshiping every part of it.

"Let's get you cleaned up." He said and she nodded as she just laid there as he got a washcloth and washed between her legs.

"Do you need anything?" He asked
"You. Cuddles. Now." She said
"Want a shirt?" He asked and she shook her head.

"Now." Is all she said and he chuckled before getting into bed with her and cuddling into her.

"You did so good, baby." He told her and kissed her head as she closed her eyes and slept with a smile on her face.

Rory walked into the house when she heard something in the kitchen then slowly walked in to see Alaric shirtless and in his boxers
"Rory. Ahem." He cleared his throat as he lowered his ice cream bowl to cover himself.

"I just came in when I heard something." She said, he chuckled nervously and Jenna walked out wearing his shirt
"That was us. I'm sorry."

"We didn't think anyone else was up." Alaric said
"But here you are." Jenna chuckled nervously
"We were just-" Alaric tried to explain when he held out the bowl to her.

"Chunky Monkey?" He asked
"I'll pass." She said
"Well... I'm naked. So I'm gonna go." He walked past Rory then upstairs.

"I'm really really sorry." Jenna said
"It's okay, Mom, don't worry about it." She said
"I know he's been staying over a lot. Are you --- are you sure it's okay?" Jenna asked.

"Seems like things are good." Rory picked off her nail polish
"They're extremely good." She said
"Then I'm extremely okay with it. But I extremely don't wanna know." Rory said.

"Wait why are you coming back so late?" Jenna asked her daughter
"Rory..." She looked at her
"This is something we don't need to talk about. Goodnight."  Rory scurried upstairs as Jenna chuckled.

Rory opened her front door to see Damon and Stefan
"Hey. Uh, can we talk?" Stefan asked
"What did you both do now?" Rory asked.

"We went to see Katherine." Damon said and she groaned
"Come on in." She opened the door more to let them past
"Why is this my life?" She looked up then shut the door.

Rory, Damon, Stefan and Elena stand around in the kitchen as they discuss
"You don't believe her, do you?" Elena asked
"No, of course not. We just want the moonstone." Damon said
"According to Rose's friend Slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break." Stefan said.

"No spell, no doppelgänger sacrifice. Ergo, you live." Damon said
"How do you destroy it?" Elena asked
"By releasing it from the moonstone." Stefan asked.

"How do you guys even know this is gonna work?" Rory questioned
"Cause we have a crafty witch on our side." Damon said
"You discussed it with Bonnie."

"She agreed to do anything she could to help us." Stefan told them
"It's Katherine who has the moonstone. She's not gonna give it to you." Rory said
"We're gonna get it from her." Stefan said.

"Well, what he means to say is, we will pry it from her cold, dead hand if we have to." Damon said
"Bonnie just needs to find a way to release the seal long enough for us to get in, get the moonstone, and get out in time for her to return it." Stefan explained.

"Wow. I mean, it sounds like you guys already have it all planned out." Elena said
"Yep. We're awesome." Damon said
"Except for one thing. I don't want you to do it." Everyone looked at Elena.

"What are you talking about? Elena, we don't have a choice." Stefan said
"What about Klaus?" She asked
"We'll find him right after we get the moonstone." He told her.

"Is that before or after he kills everyone that I care about." She asked
"Elena, if we can de-spell the moonstone, we can save your life." Stefan said
"I know. Everybody keeps saying that." Elena got up and left the room.

"I'll speak to her." Rory got up and left.

Elena and Rory walked into the Salvatore house when Rose noticed Rory
"Hey, Rory maybe keep it down next time. I know vampires don't need sleep, but still." She said and then noticed Elena
"Oh, I didn't know you were here as well." She said
"It's okay." She said.

"There's no one else here." Rose said
"Actually, we came to talk to you." Elena said and then they walk into the library and Elena explained the plan.

"It's a bad idea." Rose said
"No, it's not. From what Stefan told me, your friend Slater obviously has more information about Klaus. You and Damon just gave up before you got it." Elena said
"Because somebody blew up a coffee shop with us in it." Rose said.

"There's more to learn. We just have to find a way to learn it." Elena explained
"Why are you coming to me with this?" Rose asked
"Because you owe me. One word from Rory, and Damon and Stefan could have killed you for kidnapping us, mostly her if we are honest." Elena motioned to Rory.

"Or maybe it's because you know that they wouldn't want you doing this. And their moonstone caper gives you a chance to sneak away." She said
"We're having a disagreement, okay? They're willing to risk everyone that I love and I'm not." She said.

"They're just trying to protect you." Rose told her
"And you've proven that you couldn't care less whether I'm protected or not. So, we're back to you taking us to Slater." Elena said
"What exactly do you hope to achieve by this?" Rory asked.

"How would you like to be able to walk during the daylight?" Elena ignored Rory
"I've been a slave to shadows for 500 years, what do you think?" Rose asked
"I think I know a witch who's willing to do whatever it takes to help, if you're willing to make a deal." She said.

Rose parked up below Slater's apartment, the girls walk up the staircase to the apartment then Rose banged on the door.
"Slater? Slater, it's Rose. Open up!" She shouted and nothing happened
"He's not home. Sorry." She said.

"No. We didn't come all the way out here for nothing." Elena said then Rose pushed opened the door with her strength
"After you." Elena and Rory walked into the apartment followed by Rose.

"Slater?" She called out when she stopped
"I don't think he's gonna be much help." Rory and Elena walk to Rose to see Slater's dead body.
"He really won't be." Rory shook her head.

Rose dragged Slater's body away when Elena walked over to his computer then picked up a bunch of papers
"Looks like whoever blew up the coffee shop found him and killed him for his information." Rory said.

"Yeah, probably to stop him from helping people like us. The guy was a vampire almanac. Knowing too much information just bit him in the ass." Rose explained then walked over to a window and Elena turned to her
"What are you...?"
"Tempered glass. U.V. rays can't penetrate." Rose said.

"I used to just come here and watch the day." She said
"I'm sorry about Slater." Rory said
"Any luck?" She asked.

"Um...It's password protected. I can't get in." Elena said
"No, this is fine. Let's just go." Rose said and then they heard the door open from inside the apartment.
"Stay here." She said.

"Alice?" Rose asked
"Rose!" Alice rushed towards her and hugged her
"He's dead!" She cried.

Elena pouted water into cups and Rose sat down next to Elena
"She found him a few minutes before we did." Rose said
"How is she?" Rory asked
"Overreacting. Big time." Rose told them.

"Her boyfriend just died. There's no such thing as overreacting." Elena disagreed
"Those tears are for her. She didn't care about Slater. She was only dating him long enough to see if he'd turn her." Rose explained
"Ouch." Rory muttered.

"Thank you." Alice took the cup of tea from Elena as she sits down next to her
"You look really familiar. Did you know Slater?" Alice asked
"Not personally, no. I just knew that he kept detailed records of all of his vampire contacts and I was hoping that he could point me towards Klaus." Elena said.

"Doubtful. Klaus doesn't want to be pointed at." Alice said
"Do you know Slater's computer password?" Elena asked
"Are you seriously asking me that right now? I just saw my boyfriend with a stake through his heart." Alice told her.

"I understand that. Do you know his password or not?" Rory asked from the doorway
"Who do you think you are?" Alice asked
"The person who's looking for the words 'yes' or 'no'." She said and Alice turned away from them.

"What if I could convince Rose to turn you?" Elena suggested and Alice looked at Rose
"Will you show us his files then?" Rory asked and Alice was quick to log onto the computer as Rory, Rose and Elena watch her.

"Someone's been here. The hard drive's completely wiped out." Alice told them
"Yeah, probably whoever killed him." Rose said and Rory groaned
"Lucky for you, Slater was paranoid. Everything's backed up on a remote server." Alice said.

"You know that she's not going anywhere near my blood, right?" Rose told them
"I know. She doesn't." Elena said
"Kristen Stewart. God, was he obvious." Alice said.

"These are all leads to vampires?" Rory asked as Alice scrolled through the files
"Slater was obsessed. Almost as much as me." She said
"What about that one? Cody Webber. They exchanged dozens of emails about Elijah." She said.

"I could call him." She suggested and Elena handed her phone to her
"Tell him that we're trying to send a message to Klaus. The doppelgänger is alive and she's ready to surrender." Rose and Rory's heads snapped to hers
"What?!" They both shouted.

"Oh, my God, I knew I recognised you." Alice said
"Get him the message, please." Elena begged and walked out the room
"What are you doing?" Rose asked following her.

"I'm getting Klaus' attention." She said
"If Klaus knows that you're alive, he'll find you and he'll kill you." Rose said
"Which is exactly what you wanted all along." Rory said.

"It's either me or my family." Elena said
"So this whole charade is some suicide mission so that you could sacrifice yourself and save everyone else?" Rory asked and Alice entered the room
"Cody is on his way and he really wants to meet you." She said.

Elena walked into the room everyone else was in and saw Damon and his arms wrapped around Rory
"What are you doing here?" Damon asked
"What are you doing here?" Elena asked.

"You called him?" Elena looked at Rory
"I'm not sorry, Elena." She said
'You said that you understood." Elena said.

"She lied." He said and Rory turned to Alice who was starstruck
"Damon Salvatore!" She gasped and Rory leaned into Damon more
"Get rid of her." He said to Rose.

"No...Way!" Rose then dragged Alice out of the room
"Come on. We're leaving." Damon said
"No." Elena said.

"I said we're leaving." Damon said
"I'm not going with you." Elena crossed her arms
"You do not get to make decisions anymore." He said.

"When have I ever made a decision? This is my decision." Elena said
"Who's gonna save your life while you're out making decisions?" Damon asked
"You're not listening to me, Damon. I don't want to be saved. Not if it means that Klaus is gonna kill every single person that I love." Elena said.

"Get your ass out the door before I throw you over my shoulder and carry you out myself." He said and moved away from Rory to grab Elena's wrist
"No!" She got out of his grip and went to punch him when he caught her hand
"Don't ever do that again." He said and walked away with Rory.

Damon opened the door from the bedroom as Rory, Rose and Elena sat on the couch
"Time to go. Alice is soundly sleeping and won't remember a moment of this horribly stupid day." Damon said then suddenly the door burst open and three men walk into the apartment.

"We're here to meet the doppelgänger." One of them said
"Thank you for coming." Elena went to walk forward when Damon pushed her back
"I will break your arm." He threatened.

"There's nothing here for you." He said to the men when suddenly one of them falls dead, Elijah was behind him. Rose sped out of the apartment as Elijah looked at Rory and the others.

"I killed you. You were dead." Damon said
"For centuries now." Elijah replied as Damon brought Rory closer too him
"Who are you?" Elijah asked the vampire.

"Who are you?" He asked
"I'm Elijah." He said
"We were gonna bring her to you. For Klaus. She's the doppelgänger. I don't know how she exists, but she does. Klaus will want to see her." He said.

"Does anyone else know that you're here?" Elijah asked
"No." He said
"Well, then, you have been incredibly helpful." He then plunged his arms into the two vampires chest and rips their hearts out. Then unexpectedly he sped out of the apartment.

"And this man was referred to the fucking easter bunny!" Rory shouted.

Rory, Elena and Damon all walk onto the porch of Elena's house
"Thank you for bringing me home." Elena said, turning to Damon
"Well, your ride left you. I didn't want to leave you stranded especially since Rory would of killed me." Damon said.

"She was just scared. She didn't mean to run." Elena said
"Yes, she did. She's been running for 500 years." Damon said
"I can't believe Elijah's alive. Why do you think he killed those two vampires and just let us go?" Elena asked.

"I mean he did look hot while doing it." Rory murmured and they both gave her a look
"If I had a dollar for every time some evil vampire surprised me." Damon turned to Elena
"What you did today was incredibly stupid." He said.

"Actually, the only thing that was stupid was that I got caught. I don't question why you and Stefan and everyone else tries so hard to save me. You shouldn't question why I would try to save all of you." She said and then opened the door.

"Damon, good night, okay?" She said and entered the house as Jeremy looked at Rory and Damon
"What?" He asked
"It's Stefan." Jeremy said.

Rory rushed down to the tomb
"Stefan! Stefan!" She shouted and was about to enter the tomb when Damon stopped her
"Don't you dare." He said.

"I'm not a fucking vampire Damon I can get in there."
"May I remind you, Katherine is still in there. She would drink you dry."
"And then kill Stefan and you. She's obsessed with him!" She shouted and Stefan went to the entrance.

"Of all the idiot plans, Stefan." Damon said
"Yeah."
"I'll find a way to get you out." Rory said.

"Ah, it's all right. I'll handle myself. Bonnie has the moonstone. Work with her. Try to figure out how to de-spell it." Stefan said
"You martyr yourself in a tomb and I get partnered with a semi-competent witch. Wonderful." Damon said
"Keep Rory away from here."

"Get fucking lost!" Rory shouted
"Yeah. 'Cause that'll be easy." Damon motioned to her
"Promise me. No matter what happens. You'll protect her." He said.

"Promise." Damon took her arm and Rory looked at him with tears in her eyes as they left.

"That right there was the biggest mistake you've ever made." Katherine said to him.

Rory was in Elena's room with Bonnie as Elena looked at the moonstone
"Now that you've got this back, what are you gonna do with it?" Elena asked
"Right now, it's what is binding the Sun and the Moon Curse. If I can figure out a way to remove the spell from the stone, the stone becomes useless." Bonnie said.

"And according to Katherine, Klaus becomes vengeful." Elena said
"Maybe. If he finds out." Bonnie told her
"Bonnie, can't this wait? Stefan is stuck in the tomb with Katherine. We've got to get him out." Elena said, she knew how her cousin was getting, the constant reading of Shelia's books trying to find out a way to get him out without anything like last time happening.

"Stefan wants me to focus on this." Bonnie said
"But-"
"We're not gonna let you get used in some creepy sacrifice ritual." Bonnie cut her off.

"What are you guys arguing about?" Jeremy asked
"We're not arguing about anything." Bonnie dismissed 
"I need a coffee." She said.

"I'm gonna research some more." Rory said and then went to her room
"What did you do?" Elena shouted and Rory walked out of her room
"It's for the best, Elena." Bonnie said then Rory saw Elena trying to go out the house but failing.

"Holy shit." Rory laughed

Damon walked into the house as Elena sat on the couch
"You should really lock your door. Oh, come on, pouty. At least give me two points for ingenuity." Damon looked at her
"Do you think this is funny?" Elena asked.

"Yes Elena. I find hilarity in the lengths that I have to go to repeatedly save your life." He said
"What does Stefan say about this?" Rory asked as she made her coffee for her shift
"We had a good laugh." He said.

"And what did he say about Elijah still being alive?" She asked him and he approached her
"Yeah, that...I didn't tell him." He said
"Why not?" She raised her eye brow
"Well A: he can't do anything about it; and B:...what I just said." He said and gave her a kiss.

"Where is Bonnie?" Damon asked Jeremy who grimaced at the sight of him and his cousin
"I thought she was meeting you." He said
"No, she's on moonstone duty and I'm on Elena patrol." Damon said.

"Oh please you asked me if I was able to come over." Rory scoffed
"Actually good point. Might go to the grill." Damon said
"And who's on Tyler Lockwood and the full moon?" Jeremy asked ignoring the couple.

"Vampire Barbie asked me if she could handle it, and I said, why not? Figured if she screwed up, he'll bite her and then I'll be rid of two of my problems." Damon said and Rory hit the back of his head
"Hold on a second. Tonight's the full moon?" Elena asked and Damon's phone rang.

"Change of plans. You babysit. I can drive you to work." Damon said
"Hey you know, you should get out, enjoy the sun. Oh wait, you can't." He said and Elena threw a pillow at him as Rory and Jeremy laugh.

Rory was on her shift when a woman walked up to the bar
"Hey, excuse me. Crazy question: do you know Tyler Lockwood?" She asked
"Sorry, no." Rory said, she didn't want to talk about him. Or anyone. She wanted her money and her shift to be over.

Then Alaric joined her and pretended to be drunk
"Well hello. Can I have a scotch and whatever this beautiful woman is drinking." He said and Rory fake gaged
"No, one is my limit." She said.

"Oh come on, it's not like I'm a freak. I'm just being friendly to somebody who's new to town."
"Not a freak?" Rory scoffed under her breath
"Okay, if you insist. How do you know I'm new?" She asked.

"Because I've never seen you here before and I am here every night."
"He is." Rory nodded as she gave them their drinks when Damon arrived
"Excuse me, is this guy bothering you?" He asked.

"I'm not bothering anybody." Alaric said
"Perfect. Well...Do it elsewhere." Damon said.

"Don't worry, he's harmless. He's sort of the town drunk. And you know, when we get tired of him we just put him in a cab and send him back to wherever he came from." Damon said and Rory noticed Alaric put something in her drink then handed Rory money and a note.

Wolfsbane

"Please don't talk about me like I'm not here." Alaric said
"Why are you here?" Damon asked
"Thank you for the drink." She said and Alaric raises his glass and left.

Rory noticed she didn't drink and left it there.

Rory walked into the house with a sigh
"Hey, mom. I'm home." She said and the first person she noticed there was Elijah
"Hey, this is Elijah, he's here for historical research on Mystic Falls." Jenna said.

"I got roped in by Mrs Lockwood." She whispered to her
"Can I get roped in?" Rory asked
"You like history?" Elijah asked.

"Oh, 'like' is a very delicate to describe this maniac."  Jenna said
"Okay, so studying the years from 3000 BC to 1901 means I'm a maniac then sure." Rory shrugged
"The years of greek mythology to the end of the victorian era." Elijah said and Rory smiled.

"Exactly."

"So you're welcome to stay here and rummage through this stuff or Elena and I could help you load it into your car." Jenna said referring to the boxes
"Or I can get someone to pick it up tomorrow." Elijah said
"Also a good plan." Jenna smiled.

"Thank you so much for inviting me into your home, Jenna; and Rory..." He stopped at her while walking out
"I hope to see you again sometime soon." He said and Rory then went upstairs.

Rory walked into her room to see Elijah standing there holding her copy of Fifty Shades of Grey
"Fucking hell!" She shouted
"Sorry, didn't mean to frighten you." He said putting the book down.

"It happens more than you think." She sighed
"Rory!" Elena shouted from outside
"Yeah?" She asked and Elena walked in.

"Oh." She said looking at her and Elijah
"Good, we are all here. I think it's time you two and I had a little chat." He said.

"Forgive the intrusion. I mean your family no harm." Elijah said
"Why did you kill those vampires when they tried to take me?" Elena asked as Rory sat on her bed holding onto her panda.

"Because I didn't want you to be taken. Klaus is the most feared and hated of the Originals, but those that fear him are desperate for his approval. If word gets out that the doppelgänger exists, there'll be a line of vampires eager to take you to him and I can't have that." Elijah explained.

"Isn't that exactly what you're trying to do?" Elena asked
"Let's just say that my goal is not to break the curse." Elijah told her
"So, what is your goal?" Elena asked
"Klaus' obsession has made him paranoid. He's a recluse. He trusts only those in his immediate circle." He said.

"Like you?" Rory asked
"Not anymore." He turned to her
"You don't know where he is, do you? So you're trying to use me to draw him out." Elena asked.

"Well, to do that I need you to stay put and stop trying to get yourself killed." Elijah said
"How do I know you're telling the truth?" Elena asked
"If I wasn't being truthful, all your family would be dead and I'd be taking you to Klaus right now. Instead, I'm here and I'm prepared to offer you a deal." He said.

"What kind of a deal?" She asked
"Do nothing. Do nothing, live your life, stop fighting and then, when the time is right, you and I shall draw out Klaus together and I shall make sure your friends remain unharmed." He said.

"And then what?" Rory asked
"Then I kill him." He told them
"Just like that?" Elena asked.

"Just like that. I'm a man of my word, Elena. I make a deal, I keep a deal." He said
"How are you gonna be able to keep everybody safe?" Elena asked
"I notice you have a friend; Bonnie, is it? She seems to possess the gift of magic. I have friends with similar gifts." He told her.

"You know witches." Elena said
"Together, we can protect everybody that matters to you. So, do we have a deal?" He asked
"I need you to do one more thing for me." Rory said and he turned to her.

"Anything."

Rory led Elijah into the tomb and he opened the door
"Elijah." Katherine gasped
"Good evening Katerina. Thank you for having the good sense to be frightened." He said then looked at Stefan.

"Your release has been requested." He said
"What? By who?" Stefan asked and Rory placed her head in her hand
"The lovely Aurora drives a hard bargain. However, Elena and I reached a peaceful agreement. Please." He said and Rory turned to him.

"How the fuck did you my legal name?" She asked.

"Come." Elijah motioned to Stefan
"I can't." He said
"Yes, you can. I've had the spell lifted." He told him then Stefan slowly stepped out and hugged Rory.

Katherine rushed and tried to leave but the barrier was back
"As for you however, you should not exit until I say so. When Klaus comes, he'll want to know exactly where you are." He compelled then he turned to the couple.

"You're free to go. Elena will explain the arrangement to you. If she keeps her word, I'll keep mine." He said and went to leave
"Wait." Rory stopped him and he turned to her.

She went up to him and hugged him
"Thank you." She whispered.
"You're welcome, Elskan."

Rory went up to her room and saw Elijah holding Fifty Shades of Grey again
"Would you like to borrow the book?" She asked and he looked up at her
"No, I don't think I would want to read something I already know." He said.

"So... I'm gonna change and wash my face. Then I want answers." She told him as she took her clothes, went to the bathroom and washed her face then changed as Elijah just stayed there patiently.

Rory walked out with her glasses on and an oversized jumper with some shorts. She then walked up to her bed and sat down facing Elijah
"You're my other soulmate." She said and he nodded.

"Do you know who my other ones are?" She asked and he nodded again
"They're my siblings."
"Your poor mother. That's like 7 kids." She winced and he chuckled.

"Tell me about them. Please." Rory said
"Rory there is something you should know." He said and she picked her nail polish
"Klaus... is my brother and is your soulmate. Your mark would have the start of his full name. Niklaus." He told her.

"So you're telling me... the vampire who wants to kill my cousin and could kill my friends and family is someone I'm going to have to live the rest of my life with." She nodded through what she was saying.

"I thought you were going to kill him."
"I was. But that was when I fully realised because of you, he can undagger my siblings because are your soulmates as well." He said.

"I'm just a thing to get your siblings back. I'm being used." She said
"Not at all. I'm saying that with you I believe in my brother and that he could change his brutal ways with the help of you."

"This is our first conversation together. How you have that observation about me is beyond anything." Rory said
"I've been paying close attention to you."
"So you've been stalking me." Rory said.

"Paying close attention to you." He repeated.

"Aurora, I promise to find a way for your cousin to live. No matter what, I would do anything."
"Like what?" She asked
"I would burn the world into dust if you asked me to." He told her.

"Don't worry, I'm easily impressed, Damon bought me a stuffed bear and here we are." Rory chuckled then yawned.

"We can discuss this for another time, Elskan." He kissed her head as she curled up under her covers.

"Good night, 'lijah." She whispered
"Good night, Aurora."
