Rory walked into the bathroom to see her cousins there all getting ready
"I can't believe Tyler Lockwood is a werewolf." Jeremy said
"We're not sure about that yet. The only thing we know for sure is that Mason Lockwood is." Elena told him
"It does make sense it always seems like that guys on steroids." Rory shrugged.

"It should be enough easy for us to figure it out." Jeremy said and Rory nodded
"There is no us. I said that I wouldn't keep things from you anymore. That doesn't mean that I want you involved in it." Elena told him
"By definition of being in this family, I'm involved." He objected.

"This is dangerous, Jeremy. You have to stay out of it, okay?" Elena said
"Alright. Just saying." He shrugged and Rory left to walk into her room to see Stefan there.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He said and Rory hugged him.

"Hi." She whispered
"Hey." He whispered back
"Are you coming to the volunteer day?" She asked.

"Yep. Damon and I promise to be on our best behaviour. Mostly Damon." He said
"Yes and remember no comments or touching, don't think anyone would appreciate me dating both of you. People are judgy." She said and he chuckled.

"Trust me. I know."

"This is all part of the Historical Society's continuing efforts to give back to the community," Carol Lockwood said as Elena, Caroline and Rory helped out at the 'Mystic Falls Historical Society Volunteer Day' "Thanks to the generous donation of the Fell family we are now standing on the site of our newest public park. Thank you to everyone who has shown up to lend a helping hand. Thanks" she said and everyone clapped

"So suddenly, she's in the running for Mother of the Year just when I'm trying to avoid her the most. I'm babbling, you don't want to hear all this." Caroline ranted
"Oh, no, sorry. Then what happened?" Elena asked.

"Well, I was a bitch which is par for the course with us." She said and Rory nodded
"Hows everything with the Salvatore Brothers?" Caroline asked
"Good." She said absently.

"Thats it?" Caroline asked
"Yep." She sighed and gave her a smile
"Boring. We will talk later." Caroline said and Rory chuckled.

Rory and Stefan walked up to Damon after he had a lovely conversation with Mason
"Please tell me that you were just bonding." Stefan said
"Sure we were." Damon agreed
"Well thats good." Rory nodded along.

"Would you like some lemonade?" A young girl asked him
"Thank you, sweetie." Damon said then took a sip then spat it out and started coughing.

"Hey! This perfectly good-" Rory took a sip then spat it back into the cup
"No it's shit." She grimaced
"What's wrong?" Stefan asked.

"Vervain! Vervain!" Damon gasped.

Rory walked around before finding Elena and Caroline
"Somethings happening." She said when Caroline stopped then started to walk to the woods.

"Where are you going? What's going on?" Elena asked
"I need to be able to hear better." Caroline said
"Hear what?" Elena asked.

"Something's wrong, Elena." She said
"Caroline..." Rory placed her finger to her lips as Caroline closed her eyes and focused on the sound.

"Oh god." She gasped
"What is it?" Rory asked
"Stefan and Damon." She said to her and they started to follow Caroline.

The trio continued to walk through the woods when Caroline stopped
"What is it?" Rory asked
"They've been here." She looked down to see blood on a plant
"What?" Elena asked.

"What are you two doing out here?" They all turned to see Mason
"Have you seen Stefan?" Rory asked
"Yeah Rory, I've seen him. Seen Damon too." He said.

"Where are they?" She asked
"You don't need me for that. I'll let your friend here sniff them out." He motioned to Caroline
"Does your mother know what you are? I'm happy to tell her." He said.

"Does Carol know that you're a fucking fury. Because I'll be happy to tell her that." Rory said and he chuckled before grabbing her and strangling her
"Don't be stupid! Necks snap easy around here." Mason told Caroline
"I can take you." She said.

"Wanna bet?" He asked
"Yeah. I do." She rushed over to him then pushed him against a tree
"I told you." She then kneed him making him hurl over then kicked him in the stomach making him hit the tree behind him.

"Come on." She told the girls
"I love you." Rory said as they left.

The girls arrive at ruins scattered across the place
"What is that?" Elena asked and Caroline paused
"Caroline. Caroline, what is it?" Rory asked
"My mom. She's killing them." She said.

"What?!" Elena asked and Rory went to ruins
"No, no, no, no!" Caroline grabbed her arm
"We have to stop her!" Rory said.

"No, I can't. Rory, she's gonna find out about me. Rory!" Caroline told her
"Stay out here and make sure Mason doesn't come back." She then went into the ruins and Elena followed her.

Rory hit a deputy over the head with a plank of wood and Liz heard the noise and pointed the gun at them
"Elena! Rory! What are you doing?" She asked
"You can't kill them." Rory said.

"Rory will die if you do." Elena said and the deputy pushed them both forward and aimed his gun
"That was fucking rude." Rory said.

"Are you a vampire as well?" Liz asked
"What? Absolutely not." She said
"What about the lemonade you spat it out." Liz said.

"It was shit lemonade, a fucking kid made it!" She shouted then they all heard the door close
"What was that?" The deputy asked
"Who else is with you?" Liz asked and Caroline attacked the deputies before looking at her mother.

"Hi mom."

Damon and Stefan woke up and Damon fed on a deputy as Stefan panted in pain as Rory comforted him
"You need to drink some deputy blood." Damon said
"No. I'm gonna be fine. It's just gonna take a little bit longer." Stefan shook his head.

"Damon's right you know. If there's ever time to break your diet..." Caroline said
"Do you want some of mine?" Rory whispered and he shook his head
"This is a most unfortunate situation. Two deputies dead and you." Damon turned to Liz.

"What am I gonna do with you?" He asked
"You won't tell anyone, will you? Mom? Mom? Please. Look, I know that we don't get along and that you hate me but I'm your daughter and you'll do this for me, right? Mom, please. He will kill you." Caroline begged.

"Then kill me." Liz said
"No!"
"I can't take this. Kill me now." Liz begged.

"But you were gonna drag it out so painfully." He grabbed her and she stood up
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no!" Caroline begged
"Damon, don't!" Elena said.

"Damon, please!" Stefan said
"Relax guys. No one is killing anybody." Damon reassured
"You're my friend." He told her then looked at the dead bodies.

"We've got to clean this up."

Later Rory was at the Salvatore house with Elena when she opened the door to see Caroline
"Hey, sorry that took forever. I just didn't know how long my mom was gonna be here." She said with a suitcase in her hand.

"Damon says it'll take three days tops for the vervain to leave her system. Maybe even sooner." Rory reassured when Stefan came up to them and kissed Rory's head
"Hey! You get some bunny in you?" Caroline asked and Rory chuckled.

"Yeah, I'm feeling much better, thank you."
"Can't believe you ate thumper." Rory shook her head as they walked down to the basement when they overheard Liz talking about Caroline. She immediately dropped the bag and left while Elena went after her.

Rory then took the bag and placed into the room
"I'm gonna say this in the nicest way possible because you've been nothing but nice to me." Rory sighed and then turned to her.

"You're a fucking bitch and a coward if you think you are just going to abandon you're daughter. I get it, it's hard but you're her mother, you're supposed to love her unconditionally no matter what." She then left
"Believe me, that was nice, should of heard what she said to Kelly Donavan." Damon said to Liz.

Rory found Stefan and approached him to see multiple blood bags in front of him
"What are you doing?" She asked
"Katherine took a little vervain every day and built up a tolerance to it...I could do the same with blood. I could learn to control myself on it." Stefan suggested.

"You don't have to." She said
"I almost died tonight, Rory. Because I was too weak." He told her
"But the last time that you drank human blood..." She hinted.

"I told you I'll find a way to stop Katherine, didn't I? Well this is it, this is the only way because she's stronger than me. And unless that changes this, I can't protect you." He told her
"I can't ask you to do that for me." She said
"I'm not asking you to do that. This is what I'm gonna do." He told her.

Rory walked up to the living room to see Caroline and Elena
"Can I take you home?" Rory asked
"I can't go home." Caroline shook her head.

"Why not?" Rory asked
"Because I'm scared." She admitted
"Why are you scared? Caroline, you can talk to us ." Elena said.

"Katherine's gonna be there and she's gonna want me to tell her everything that happened today. She told me I had to spy on you and report back to her." She started to cry
"I know and I've been so mad at you. But then, I tried to put myself in your position so that I could understand why you would do this to us and to Stefan because he's been such a friend to you. Who did she threaten?" Elena asked.

"Matt, she threatened Matt and I'm so scared of her Elena! I am so scared of her." She cried harder as Rory hugged her
"And you should be. Caroline, we all should be." Elena told her.

"Not really the best thing to say." Rory said
"Why is she doing this? What does she want?" Caroline asked
"That's the million dollar question." She said.

Rory tucked in the blanket around Caroline as she slept on the couch and Damon walked in
"Caroline's sleeping on the couch." Rory told him
"I heard and you?" He asked.

"I'm staying, Elena's went home . What you did for Caroline's mom, that's the Damon who I'm dating." Rory said
"Hey, Stefan didn't drink the people blood, if you were curious, but he needs to and deep down you know that." Damon said and Rory nodded then headed to the library where Stefan is.

"Do you really think that you can control it?" Rory asked
"I don't know but if I don't try..." He said
"So a little bit every day?" She asked.

"Yeah, just a few drops of blood in my system. I think it's worth trying." He told her
"Okay, you'll drink the person's blood you've already drank." She then grabbed a letter opener
"What are you doing?" He asked and she cut right under her mark.

"We completed the bond after what happened. You've already had my blood." She told him and held out her arm to him
"I'll help you. I trust you." She told him and he began to drink her blood. He then used the letter opener to make a small cut on his arm and Rory drank it, healing the wound.

"I love you." Rory kissed him.

Rory woke up wearing Stefan's shirt as she rested on his shoulder watching him sleep
"You're staring." He said
"I'm gazing." She corrected
"It's creepy." He told her.

"It's romantic. Edward Cullen watching Bella while she slept. That was creepy." Rory told him and he put a pillow over his face
"Hey! Rude!" She took the pillow away and took a piece of gum from the nightstand and kissed him then she checked her phone.

"Okay, I, um, I need to be in the shower." She said to him
"Love it, let's go!" He told her
"No, just me. I'm late. I'm decorating at the Lockwood charity thing." She told him.

"Well, what do you know. So am I." He said
"You think that's really a good idea to be at their house today? Mason Lockwood tried to kill you." Rory asked.
"I don't trust Mason. I want to be there today to keep an eye on him." He said and she nodded.

"Okay."
"Now for that shower?" He asked
"Absolutely not. I want to enjoy your shower on my own." She said.

"You always do that. It's like the only reason you stay over is so you can use my shower."
"That's not true. I use Damon's as well." She said and walked into the bathroom.

Rory was sorting through masks with Elena when Damon walked up to them
"What are you doing here?" Rory asked
"Looking for my baby bro. Speaking of, would you tell yours to stop following me around?" Damon asked Elena.

"What's going on?" She asked
"Ask eager beaver." He left as Jeremy walked to them
"Jeremy, what is he making you do?" Elena asked and Rory looked at her.

"Woah, what?"
"He's not making me do anything, Damon and I..." Jeremy said
"Uh, no. No way. No, no, no, no. There is no 'Damon and you'. There's Damon and whoever Damon is using, and those people, they end up dead. Whatever is going on Jeremy, I want you to stay out of it." Elena told him.

"Excuse you." Rory said
"I don't really care what you want, Elena. It's because of you that I'm in this mess in the first place, so I'm sorry, but you really don't get to tell me what I'm gonna do." Jeremy said.

Rory noticed Stefan and Damon talking when Rory went up to Damon after Stefan left
"What is going on?" She asked and he gave her a look.

Stefan walked into the woods to the well
"What's going on?" Rory asked and he turned to her
"You shouldn't be here." He said
"I know, but I am. What's going on?" She repeated.

"Bonnie thinks the moonstone is down here." He said and pulled the lock off the iron grating then put the grating on the ground. He turned on the flashlight and handed it to Rory and went to the edge of the well and Rory handed him it again.
"Hey. Be careful." She said.

"I'll only be down there for a minute." He promised then jumped into the well and Rory waited to hear him at the bottom. Once she did she heard him scream in pain
"Rory!!!" Rory then looked down to see him and his skin sizzling
"Stefan?! What's happening?!" She asked as he attempted to climb out.

"Vervain. Oh, God! Help!" He screamed
"Stefan!" Rory jumped off the edge and tried to pick up a chain from the ground but she wasn't strong enough
"Rory!" Caroline sped to her.

"Caroline, Stefan's down there and the chain is rusted." Rory said and Caroline went to go onto the well
"No, no, no! You can't, it's filled with vervain. Caroline, we've got to get him out. Now!" She panicked and Caroline grabbed the chain and Rory climbed to the edge of the well.

She then wrapped the chain around herself then hooked it around a link.
"I got you, okay?" Caroline reassured
"Yeah." Rory nodded
"What's going on? You just took off in a blur." Rory turned to see Bonnie.

"I heard Rory screaming. Help her, now!" Caroline told her and Bonnie helped Rory to the edge of the well.
"Are you ready?" Caroline asked
"Yeah." She nodded as she is lowered into the well.

Suddenly Caroline lost hold of the chain but quickly grabbed it in time
"Sorry!" She shouted down
"It's okay, keep going. Come on!" She said and she goes into the vervain where Stefan is unconscious. She unhooked the chain to wrap it around Stefan when she looked at his burnt.

"Oh my God."
"Rory, what's going on down there?" Caroline asked
"Pull him up!" Rory shouted and she pulled up the chain as Rory turned on the flashlight.

"Rory? Ready for you!" She said
"Hold on! I need to find the stone." Rory started searching
"Hurry!" Caroline said when Rory found a box.

"Hold on! I think I found it!" She shouted up when she saw a snake wrapped around her arm. A scream left her lips as she tried to keep a hold of the box
"Rory! What's going on?!" Caroline said
"I got it. Come on! Bring me up!" Rory tied herself to the chain before going back up.

Bonnie helped Rory out of the well as she turned to Stefan
"Oh, god! Stefan!" She rushed down to him as she placed the box down
"Stefan! Stefan." She tried to shake him away, she then grabbed a rock near by and cut her wrist and placed it to his mouth. His eyes opened and he drank from her.

"I've got the stone, Stefan. Stefan, it's gonna be okay, everything's gonna be okay."

Later at night Rory and Caroline were laughing as they were talking
"He won a panda for you?" Caroline asked and Rory nodded
"I thought he was gonna compel the worker for the bear." She said.

"That is so adorable." Caroline smiled
"So, have you..."
"No, I just started dating him and to be honest we don't have the time." Rory said and Caroline.

"Got to clear your schedule just to have sex?" She asked
"Yes I do. I haven't even sleep with Stefan since my virginity because there's been no time." Rory laughed
"My life motto is there is always time. Especially if it's good you should specifically make time for it." Caroline laughed.

Then Rory's phone started to ring
"Right you answer that I'll get the nail polish." Caroline said and Rory exited the room as Caroline picked out the polish.

"Ruby Red or Perfect Pink?" Caroline asked as Rory entered the room
"Rory?" She turned as tears were streaming down her face
"Can you take me to hospital? It's my mom." Caroline nodded and wrapped her arms around her.

Rory walked into the emergency room to see Elena and Jeremy
"Is she okay? She's okay right?" Rory asked
"The doctors told Alaric that she got lucky. She's gonna make it. She's gonna be okay." Elena said.

"Does she remember what happened?" Jeremy asked
"No, nothing. It's all a part of Katherine's mind compulsion." Elena said
"Why would Katherine hurt Jenna?" Jeremy asked.

"Because she's trying to send a message. That she could get to anybody." Rory said as tears roll down her face, it was a rarity for either of her cousins to see her cry
"Hey, hey, hey, come here." Jeremy hugged her
"She needs to be okay, she's my mom. I need her." Her voice cracked.

"It's gonna be okay." He told her
"No, it's not." She hugged him tighter
"She's gonna pay, Rory. I don't know how but she's gonna pay." He told her.

"I'm sorry but I can't be here." Rory shook her head
"Thats okay. We will keep you updated." He told her and she nodded
"Bye." She whispered.

Rory walked into the library at the Salvatore home when Stefan turned to her
"I'm so sorry." He said
"We were stupid. We thought because she couldn't kill us it would stop." Rory said.

"I know."
"We did this. Stefan, my mom is in the hospital and Jeremy could be next. All because we didn't - we didn't listen to her. Because - because we're together. Stefan..." Rory said
"This isn't going to stop, there is no way of stopping this." She said.

"I think it's best if we had a bit of space." Rory said
"Damon won't agree."
"I know, I mean just us." Rory said, both of their hearts broke at that moment.

"Rory-"
"She went after my mom. She nearly killed my mom." Rory shook her head
"I love you with all my heart but I need my mom as much as I need you." She said and he nodded and kissed her.

"I'm going to find Damon." She said and he nodded.

Rory walked up to Damon's room
"Rory. I riled Katherine up. I - I wasn't thinking. I didn't think." He told her
"It's okay. I just want to sleep." She said then laid next to him and cuddled into him.

Damon felt the tear drops come into contact with his shirt as he wrapped his arms around her.
