A VOW OF TRUE LOVE

Praying behind your better half is the best feeling in the world. And that's what Zoya was feeling. Every time they prostrate to their Lord, her heart swelled with happiness.

When Ahad confessed to Zoya that he never prayed, she was shell-shocked. All the time she assumed that he prayed five times. Seeing her expression, Ahad felt guilty and promised her he would pray five times daily and also compensate for the prayers he missed before by offering Nafl.

Today Ahad was home as it was Sunday. And hence Zoya wanted to pray with Ahad. After completing their prayer, they decided to have lunch outside and then go for shopping.

Since Ahad wanted to spend sometime alone with his doll, they left Arsh and Aysha with Haya and his mother. First they went to a Chinese restaurant on Zoya's demand. After filling their empty stomachs, they moved to the mall for some shopping.

Zoya wanted to buy something for everyone. First they went in kids section to purchase clothes for kids. She brought a beautiful pink colour frock with pearls studded at the neckline for Aysha. And a similar purple long frock for Rida. As for Arsh, she purchased a white tee with a caption 'I know I'm drool worthy' and a black jeans to go with.

She then shopped for her mother and mother in law followed by Haya, Zara and Rehi.

She brought watches for her father and father in law. After purchasing gifts for everyone, Ahad took her to a Saree store. He selected a beautiful golden saree with a black border for her.

Once done, Zoya literally drag Ahad to the men store since she wanted to select clothes for him. She brought a tee shirt with caption Smitten by my beautiful wife. At first Ahad denied but when Zoya gave him her famous glare he agreed to it.

They then moved to the ice cream parlour and ordered their favourite flavours. They were busy devouring ice cream when Zoya noticed few girl's eyeing Ahad. Ahad looked at Zoya and moved his eye's in the direction where she was glaring.

When he found girl's drooling over him, an evil idea stuck his mind. He waved his hand to the girl's and they beamed with joy. Zoya was annoyed with Ahad's gesture but stayed mum.

Taking advantage of the situation, the girl's joined Ahad and started flirting with him completely ignoring Zoya. But what made Zoya mad was Ahad entertaining them and was enjoying their company.

Unable to withstand the scene in front of her, Zoya excused herself saying she will be waiting for him near the car. Zoya managed to blink her tears and made her way towards exit. Not wanting to cry, she called Sano to divert her mind.

A while later Ahad came out and was moving towards Zoya when his eye's fell on a group of guys who were eyeing his wife shamelessly. Ahad's blood boiled at it and he nothing but wanted to kill them.

He walked towards Zoya and pulled her along with him not before giving a murderous glare to those boys. Zoya was busy talking to Sano oblivious to her surroundings. She was shocked at first but then settled with him in the car.

Ahad wanted to talk to her but she was busy discussing about the ethnic collection, designer jewellery and what not throughout the ride. When they reached home, Zoya started showing everyone the gifts they purchased.

Meanwhile Sano walked in with Arhaan and her toddlers. Both the friends hugged each other and again started gossiping.

Zoya requested them to have dinner at their places. Arhaan sat with Ahad in the living room listening to their kids babbling. While Sano was helping Zoya and Haya in preparing dinner. At first Zoya denied but later she agreed not wanting to provoke the tigeress in her.

After dinner, Arhaan and Sano left. Zoya put her kids to bed and went to change into her night wear. When she returned she saw Ahad sitting at the edge of the bed waiting for her.

When Ahad saw Zoya he went to her and took her hands in his. He was controlling his temper and said, "You don't have time to talk with me. I see you're very busy."

Zoya maintained her cool and said, "I didn't noticed that you wanted to talk."

"Exactly doll, you doesn't notice anything. You're oblivious to your surroundings not bothering how people are looking at you." Ahad snapped at zoya.

Zoya had a confused expression, that's when Ahad said her about the boys who were eyeing at her as a piece of cake. After knowing the reason Zoya had an amused expression which acted as a fuel to the already existing fire.

Ahad was annoyed when she smiled and said, "What's so funny Zoya?"

Shaking her head she replied, "You're angry because they were checking me out. What would be your reaction if I would have spoke to them?" That was the last string which she pulled and Ahad yelled at her, "Zoyyaaaa...."

At first Zoya was scared but then she looked at her kids to make sure they were still asleep. Ahad calmed down seeing his kids while zoya moved towards the balcony. Ahad followed her and closed the door behind her.

Zoya was looking at the night sky when Ahad pulled her to him and said, "What did you say inside?" She could sense his anger but now even she was mad at him.

She pulled away from him and almost yelled, "You're angry on me because few boys were eyeing me. Then what was that you were doing in the ice cream parlour? Flirting with those girl's not bothering about your wife."

Ahad was taken aback with her outburst and guilt washed over his senses. He tried to speak "Doll.. Zoya listen......." but he was cut of by zoya, "You can do whatever you want but your wife shouldn't, Right Mr. Khan." Tears spilled from her eyes which she was quick to wipe off.

Ahad took her hand in his big ones. At first Zoya protested but later gave in. He made her sit in one of the chair present their and kneel down in front of her. Still holding her hand he continued,

"I'm sorry love, I was just trying to make you jealous. I didn't intend to hurt you."

Again tears welled up in Zoya's eyes and she asked, "Why Ahad? Even after year's of marriage and having two kids you still don't trust my love? Why do I always have to prove my love for you? Can't you see it in my eyes?"

Ahad felt silent not knowing how to respond. He looked in her eyes and said, "I'm so sorry doll. I trust you with my whole being. I don't want to justify my actions because I know I was wrong and I'm really sorry for that. Please forgive me."

"Zoya your name means life and that's what you're to me My life. You're the meaning to my existence, the beat to my heart. I don't say you're my shadow because even the shadows leave in darkness. But you're my light which sweeps away my darkness."
