▌᭚ SYNOPSIS

Mina and Seojun have been friends since childhood. They've played in the same sandboxes, went to the same schools, ate lunch side by side, and shared all their darkest secrets with one another. They were inseparable and there wasn't a single soul that could pull them apart, or so they believed.

Seojuns parents were going through a heavy divorce after his mother was diagnosed with cancer. His father claimed he couldn't handle the responsibility that came with taking care of his own wife — causing him to leave his family entirely without remorse. Seojun has no other choice but to move with his mother to the states where his grandparents resides. There was no warning, no letter to be left behind besides the memory of his kiss with Mina shared a week before he left.

Deep down, Seojun knew it was goodbye but didn't have the heart to tell her. He wasn't sure when he would return and didn't want to unintentionally string her along for a relationship that couldn't be promised. As much as it pained him, he needed to let her go so she could find someone to look after her. All he knew was that his mother needed him and he was sure to become her only priority.

After spending a year in the states helping his grandparents watch over his mother, he finally has full capability to return to KISS in Seoul to finish off his school year. But returning to the one place he purposely left behind without any knowledge of returning, he comes face to face with his childhood best friend who spent the entire year getting over him. He was back and she was angry.

Mina spent an entire year trying to get over Seojun and mend her break heart after he left. She wrote a letter almost every day expressing the pain she felt and the genuine love she held for her best friend. One letter covered in tears and continuous begging that he would return. But after recovering from her heartbreak she was ready to move on and start new. Make new friends, get a boyfriend, and make new memories. Seojun was officially in the past and that's how she liked it.

It didn't matter how many times he apologized, she would continue to ignore him and treat him the same way he treated her — with excruciating silence.

The space put between them was unbearable but Seojun wasn't giving up without a fight. He knew he wanted her even when they were children and now that he was back, he didn't planning on leaving again. No matter how hard she tried to push him away.
