kehlani watched him carefully as he talked about his career, she could honestly listen to him for hours as she was intrigued by him "no a/c? how do you do that?" she asked him and he chuckled "we have ice packs wrapped around us underneath the suit we wear" he explained 

"58-72 laps in the hot weather has to be killer, but better you than me" she said as he laughed, but immediately her head started hurting, she grunted at the pain but tried to put on act so he wouldn't notice but lewis noticed "you okay?" he asked putting his hand over her head 

"yeah just a headache" she said but it just got worse. he said something but she couldn't hear him that good, she closed her eyes and flashbacks came to her mind again. this time she was in a museum and the same guy was there laughing, she could make out the laugh but it sounded familiar and then it disappeared 

her headache was gone and she opened her eyes seeing him. he looked so worried "you sure you're okay? I can take you to the hospital" he said getting up "no no im fine I just been getting these real bad headaches lately, im fine really they dont last long" she assured him 

he looked at her so worried "kehlani you sure?" he said the way he said her name made her feel special, a feeling in her heart melted at the way he said it "im fine I promise" she said looking around and noticed everyone was gone "I think we need to go" she said laughing as he looked around  andnoticed the two bartenders standing by the bar with two waiters who looked annoyed 

"yeah we should.... im sorry here is a tip for staying back long" he gave the 4 each $400. he grabbed her hand and they walked out the door, she pulled her phone out getting ready to get an uber since she didnt drive here "no ill take you home" he said looking at her, lewis wasnt letting the woman he loves get in a uber at 1 in the morning 

"no its fine I dont want to bother" she said trying to open her phone again, he closed it and grabbed her hand opening the passenger door and helping her in before he buckled her in "dont worry I got you" he said smiling at her,  she looked at him go around to the drivers seat 

he got in and started the car up, he handed her his phone but took it back fast almost forgetting the picture he had saved as his screensaver "sorry hold on" he said he opened it and went to the maps and handed it back to her. she typed her address in, she noticed he had one of her old addresses as his favorites but she didnt think much of it and gave his phone back 

he drove off and followed the direction from his phone "how long have you been a singer?" he asked, she loved when people asked her about her passion "since I was 13 years old, I wrote my first song at that age too I always felt music was my scapegoat" she said smiling "music has always made me feel complete... being able to write down your feelings or experience on paper and then record it to make a hit will always be my happy place" she said 

"is kehlani your real name or stage name?" he asked "no my name Is sevyn but ive always been called lani since a kid" she said "why did you choose kehlani?" he asked as he came to a red light "my mother name is kehlani, everyone always said I looked like her and would call me lil kehlani and its always stuck with me" she said 

"but im nothing like my mother honestly we might look alike but thats it" she said with a sad look, he could tell she was still hurt by it so he didnt want to press the issue anymore.  he felt he already knew her family issues and didnt need to open that wound to her 

"my mum and dad split when I was young and then got remarried, both had their own set of kids with their new lovers which made me feel left out till I started getting into go kart. my dad noticed I could actually be good and started paying attention to me but I always felt like if I didnt take this career path, would they even care about me?" he said changing the subject 

she looked at him and noticed his face, she felt his pain. she always felt like her family only dealt with her because of her career because growing up only eve, Brandon and AK cared about her, everyone else just treated her like nothing 

she saw him sigh, he looked a little bit sad "its gonna be okay we can be loners together" she said, she looked at him and he was smiling, he liked that idea "deal" he said to her and she smiled as they pulled into her driveway "thank you for the ride" she said as he parked the car and she unbuckled her belt "you're welcome sevyn" he said 

the feeling she felt when he said her name felt familiar, she looked at him and smiled before closing the door and going up the steps. she unlocked her door and turned around then waved at him before she walked inside closing the door.

"how was your night?" eve said scaring lani "shit! where did you come from?" she asked turning to look at her sister "I was watching some tv waiting up for you, who dropped you off?" she said "this guy named lewis" she said, eve eyes widened but quickly she fixed her eyes "oh really? how did yall meet?" she asked 

"we sat next to each other and kinda stayed pass the time of the ball talking, he offered to take me home" she said as she took her shoes off "umm... did he say anything?" she asked trying to find out if lewis told her or not "about what?" she replied back "he just talked to me about his F1 career and explained it to me thats all" she said as she picked her shoes up "im gonna go to bed good night" 

she turned around and walked upstairs as she was tried and just wanted to take this makeup off. she went into her bathroom as soon as she got into her room and she started taking off her make up. she tied her hair up and put her bonnet on, she finished washing her face and changed into her pjs and got into the bed but her phone went off 

she looked at her phone and noticed it was a notification from instagram; she had a new follow and a message. she opened the message first it was from that guy lewis "good night sweet dreams 💜" she read, she smiled at the message then she liked it and replied. she notice he followed her so she followed him back and put her phone away and went to sleep
